A wonderful place to bring all your animals. Very friendly staff that care about you pets. For instance my cat is very anxious about the vet and refuses to leave her cage once in the exam room. However the staff will come out before hand and drape a towel which has something on it which will calm her down and make her much more relaxed. I've never seen her be so cool and "non hissy" towards vets. Would recommend this place to any of my family and friends. This is now my go to place for both my dogs and cats. Read Less

After going to the same vet for over 20 years, I was becoming displeased and needed a new vet for my senior dog. Was referred here from a co-worker who had only good things to say about this vet. I called and made an appointment (after asking several questions first). The woman who answered the phone (didn't get her name) was very friendly and helpful and I already felt at ease bringing my fur-baby there. The staff and doctors are top notch and just amazing! Everyone was very warm, welcoming, and friendly not only to me but also to my dog. My dog is usually extremely hyper and she was very calm, relaxed, and comfortable the moment we walked in the door. Their prices are reasonable and within a few pennies/dollars (give or take) of my old vet. I would highly recommend and I am very relieved with my decision to choose this vet. Our vet who gives our pups their annual shots and physicals is a vet who makes house calls (Dale Klein). When we are in a pinch for quicker, more emergency-like services, we bring our dogs to Oak Forest Animal Clinic. All of the employees there are courteous and professional. Dale Klein is slightly less expensive because we, as customers/patients, are not paying for any building overhead costs. Oak Forest Animal Clinic is pricey but it certainly falls within the norm of any animal clinic. Read Less

I was battling fleas for 6months. I thought I could handle them myself, but nothing seem to work. I finally came here and immediately felt welcome. My cat ended up having an allergic reaction to the flea bites and was miserable. They gave her a steroid shot and within 24hours she was better. Dr was very knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Ben was the most kind, straightforward, honest, and intelligent Vet we could have hoped for. We brought two girls, 13 & 9 in with a pet hamster who was bleeding profusely.... down below. He educated them on what may have happened, was kind and gentle in talking to them, but was honest about the hamster probably not going to make it. He realized that this was their pet, their responsibility, and that they were crushed. His office called twice the next day to check on "Hammy" and said if she was still with us Friday come back. Minor miracle, but "Hammy" appears to have overcome the 2% chance of living....Dr. Ben then talked with the 13 year old about animals he has treated, Veterinary Colleges, and educated her on different hamster breeds. She loves animals, and he answered all her questions. He has a calming, sincere demeanor, and I would never consider going anywhere else. Mocha Coconut was visiting IL for the first time from FL. Unfortunately, he had probably not been use to the weather change and the different environment that one of his eyes started to become infected, super watery, and difficult to open! After watching his eyes, I decided it be best he get some medicine. Shihtzu eyes are susceptible to eye conditions especially with their shape.We called the office and they were very nice and provided us with a convenient appointment. We were able to show them a few of his records since we brought it just in case. They also called his vet in Tampa to make sure his records reflected his immunization we had for him.The vet was very nice and you can tell she loved animals. Mocha Coconut felt comfortable with her. Love this vet!!!! Got a second opinion on my dogs toe and they knew it wasn't normal. They did a biopsy on it and it was cancerous. They did surgery, every week I have to go in for a bandage change because I dog won't leave it alone. They always answer any questions I have and always squeeze me in when my dog tears off the bandage. I would recommend this vet to anyone. Read Less

I took my dog, Bear, here to get evaluated because he had a huge absess near his hip. Scheduled a surgery for a absess drainage and tumor removal within the following week. The vet removed the tumor. No complaints. What I did love was my dog is a Rottweiler who has anxiety. He doesn't bite when he's afraid, he just wants to run so hes a puller. They were just so kind and gentle with him. They really seemed to care! They seemed knowledgeable about his breed and very accommodating to his 140-pound size. Will continue to come back!Read Less

We were referred to Oak Forest Animal Clinic when we moved to Oak Forest 3.5 years ago. They treat Gunner like he's a part of their own family. I couldn't be happier with the staff -- everyone goes out of their way to do follow-up calls after appointments. Everytime Gunner walks in there, he is greeted by his "girlfriends" especially Danielle and Dani. He just loves them. We've seen all 3 Dr's and truly don't have a favorite -- all three are amazing. I highly recommend this vet office. Thank you to Dr. Ben, Dr. Craig, and Dr. Meghan for being as wonderful as you are and to the rest of your staff. Maybe I am the dumb one. However this place has charged me for services for 9 years and never done the stool test. Tops is... Last week our dog had an allergic reaction to something after our move and the treatment was very mild for the condition (considering he is scratching off his skin). I Would not recommend this place to any animal. I feel they are looking for the return visit profit and labs money which is a scam since never tested. Read Less

We have been going to Oak Forest Animal Clinic for 26 years, when we first moved in to Oak Forest. We have since moved from Oak Forest, but continue to bring our beloved animals there, because we trust them. Recently, my beautiful lab, Mocha became very sick. I could not be thankful enough for the love and care that Mocha received. While in the end, Mocha took the decision out of our hands, we will forever be grateful that Dr. Ben and the staff never gave up on her, and also supported our family through her illness.
