Oak Village Animal Hospital

Oak Lawn, Illinois
General Info
Oak Village Animal Hospital is situated in Oak Lawn and is a respected member of the veterinary community. Oak Village Animal Hospital, Oak Lawn, describes the diagnostic process as a dialogue between pets and their owners that dictates the quality of medical results across Illinois. Testing procedures begin with careful observation rather than actual touching. They watch what seems to be a domesticated animal’s awareness of eye contact, if it seems to hold its breath when people speak and whether it wants to approach or avoid movement. Care then unfolds in parts. The way a pet anchors its body or how it leans and stiffens guides the study of its skin coat and joints. Internal reviews teeth abdomen heart rhythm when signs of trust respect. Additionally, pet owners provide details about changes in their daily lives that their pets would notice and any modifications to walking or feeding routines. Oak Village Animal Hospital offers a wide range of services from first life stage examination and diagnostics to energy balance techniques oral care approaches joints health monitoring for age related diseases plotting. Timeframes vary based on behavior. Some appointments move fast due to the signs of consent. The evolution of others goes slowly step by step, which gives the animal time to comprehend what should be done. Pets have access to quiet areas and pause zones to recalibrate before proceeding. After the visit, maintenance focuses on domestic translation work. Look at the patterns with which the pet goes to sleep and how it returns into its routine habits, then identify some of the silent clues like withdrawal from family, loss of appetite and guarding space. In this regard, it would be more prudent for owners to track time rather than just the symptoms. At what time does restlessness emerge? At what time of day do hesitations peak? Oak Village Animal Hospital recognizes that behavior is one of the key communication tools animals use to reach their owners, not just in emergencies but every day through pauses, nudges, and shifts. Popular services offered by the facility include puppy and kitten care, vaccinations, dermatology, allergy testing, surgery, cardiology, cold laser therapy, neurology, boarding and behavioral counseling. From routine wellness plans to complicated health issues, Oak Village Animal Hospital gives pet owners the confidence they need to understand their pets’ needs. The team is always striving for continuous growth and outreach to ensure pets in Oak Lawn, IL, and across the United States have access to the best care possible.

I have been going to Oak Village Animal Hospital for 30 Years. Dr. Bowen is the best. How ever his office staff is the worst. They never answer the phone and when you leave a message they never return the phone call. It takes forever just to pay your bill at the counter. The last time I was there it took longer to pay the bill than the physical, and shots my dog received. I am afraid I may have to start looking for a new vet. I cannot waist time all day trying to get a hold of someone to get a prescription refill for my dog. I have called over 13 times over 3 days and can't get through to anybody, and no one returns a call. I hope the Dr. knows how bad his staff is. Read Less

Worst experience ever..basically the doctor caused me lost my last chance to spend some precious time with my cat..since a month ago, I noticed that my cat isn't behave well and having diarrhea all the time. So I decided to bring her to a vet..my worst decision ever..I brought her to this clinic instead of driving back to champaign to visit her primary care doctor..so I went to Oak Village Animal Hospital..After the doctor knew my concern and situation, he didn't really do any check for my cat..he just told me that maybe my cat is having allergy to some kind of food and I need to change a diet for her..and he said we will use 1 month to do this experiment and see how it goes..I kept asking him then why does my cat defecate everywhere and didn't behave normally..the doctor couldn't give me any answer and just said maybe that was due to the food allergy (food allergy > no enough nutrient > brain not function/develop well > having weird behavior)... After all this..I waited to see how my cat feel and if there is any changes..I started being more and more worried..after 2weeks, which is Monday (8/15/16), I decided to bring her back to champaign and do a legit test for her from her primary care..long story short..all the symptoms show that my cat has FIVP..and it was her last day yesterday.. I am so mad because I lost the last moments with my cat due to the poor diagnosis. Look elsewhere for better vets. Read Less
