Most wonderful visit. Staff excellent, I would tell all my friends who have pets to come with all their pets. The Cat Practice is hands down the best vet I have ever been to. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the environment is clean, calm and quiet (which is nice for the kitties!) This cat specialty clinic has good vets but the cleanliness of the place was unacceptable. It smelled of cat urine and is a bad representation of cats. Our house and other cat specialty clinics with live-in cats we have been to does not smell the way this facility did. I had no complaints with the people, doctors, and care.Read Less

You will not find any other vet for cats better than this practice. Dr. Lori is so very gentle and loving. She treats every cat like they are her own. Her staff is phenomenal. They go over and beyond to make your experience pleasant. This is a "home" away from home for your cat. I highly recommend taking your cat here as you will not be disappointed. Ive gotten to know The Cat Practice well over my cat Gracies long life, but especially so during the last 3 years when she developed CKD. Dr. Lori and the entire staff are experts at their job. They are professional, but treated Gracie and me like family. Their thoughtful care, kindness and sense of humor eased the burden of a long illness all the way to the end. The Cat Practice compassionately helped Gracie cross the bridge at home, which means so very much to me. My 16 year old kitty Angel was diagnosed in late stage 3 renal failure in Jan 2014. After the appointment I was waiting on the results. I received an email that looked like it was a cut and paste email (insert cats name here, condition here, etc). I called to speak to Dr. Coughlin several times over the next 2.5 days. I did not receive an answer. I finally came back in to meet with a vet asst and Dr. Coughlin was there. We saw one another but she never came in to speak to me, in fact, we never actually spoke again. I had a ton of questions which the assistant couldn't answer. All they wanted me to do was buy a particular dry food from them and to administer fluids. That was the extent of the treatment plan. I was told Angel had less than a year. I decided to get a second opinion from The Cat Hospital of Chicago. They addressed all my questions and concerns and came up with a more thorough treatment plan. I'm really happy I did. I was able to get another 2.5 years with my kitty because of it. Read Less

We received flowers from Dr. Lori and crew today in grievance for our loss and we had yet to tell them in person. Wonderful Vets :) They really care about your kitty. We took our cat here when he got sick. The vet was so helpful and honest in presenting our options for further care. When we purchased bloodwork and an Xray, she was up front about the costs. When the results came back she explained everything about the tests and walked us through the Xray images. We found out our cat probably ate something bad while he was outside and was causing him to be sick!! The vet gave us some antibiotics and after a few days he got better. Best vet I have been to - ever! Not only could she tell a lot just from my cats body language, but she listens to what the owners say, answers questions and tries to work within a budget with the owner.
