After moving last summer, I have been looking for a new vet... and it's been pretty tough. Admittedly, being very analytical and selective, there are specific expectations I have for whomever is servicing my fur kid(s)... especially the one I have had so long, he's got his DL.Anywhoo... I tried a couple places in the area, and they were either seriously in need of upkeep and refurbishing (and some Febreze ) in the reception area, or the Vet was so rushed and scattered - you wondered why their practice name wasn't "Half-A$$ing Care"...So I was going to try a third place... when I saw their intake form (online)... which has a question that red-flagged them for me, and I cancelled... to try Harper.This place is in an awkward location, by Harper College, on westbound Algonquin, JUST before the lane merges... but that is the only negative I can say... This place is nicely updated, parking is easy, and the staff are very nice... and the vet? Awesome!!! Dr. Paduska is so zen... he is very soft-spoken, calm and gentle with my kid, takes the time to discuss and explain options and his recommendations to address my concerns. Griff is geriatric, and has age-related health issues, in addition to suddenly getting a major cold, and digestive issues recently, so its been a storm of medications and treatments lately, and Dr. Paduska has been excellent.I like this practice's vibe, and the vet service is exemplary, prices are reasonable as well.5 Stars are very rare from me... if you expect better service from your vet than you do from your own personal doctor, this place will work for you I think...
