This morning our sweet Zoey was seen by this amazing staff. They treated us with respect and compassion during our toughest time. My dog was pregnant. She is a Chihuahua min dachshund mix. She was having a complication so my husband took her here to Pekin animal hospital for help. She got an x-ray and hubby was told she needed a...
My dog was pregnant. She is a Chihuahua min dachshund mix. She was having a complication so my husband took her here to Pekin animal hospital for help. She got an x-ray and hubby was told she needed a c section and that was the only option. He was quoted like $900 but then they bumped it to $1100. My hubby called his sisters vet in Farmington and was quoted $500 for the same c section. He took her to Farmington. The vet there didn't take an x-ray... put on gloves and felt around and pulled a dead puppy out and a living puppy followed. That vet in Farmington gave her meds to help with labor and ta da.... no unnecessary surgery for my already distressed doggy. I don't recommend this place. My total vet bill for the other vet was $120. Just the office visit and x-ray here was $140. I will not be taking any of my animals back to Pekin hospital.

In September, we switched our 2 dogs over to see Dr. Stacie. In this short time we found out our male dog had been misdiagnosed his whole life and had a very treatable skin infection. Within a few weeks, we learned our female had lymphoma and we lost her shortly after. I have never seen the compassion I was shown by Dr. Stacie and the office ladies. I'm so grateful we switched and that my dogs have a vet that actually care for their patients. I cannot thank Dr. Stacie enough for everything she has done for my furry babies!

They also support and work closely with the efforts of TLC pet rescue, where we got our pets. I love that this clinic gives back to the community and supports lost and fostered pets.

I had taken my pup to two veterinarians many times over the past two years and explained his symptoms with videos i had made , neither one diagnosed him correctly. .pekin animal hospital diagnosed him correctly on the first visit with a heart issue but by then it was too late ..if you truly care for your pet this is the only vet i recommend in the pekin area

Pekin and Peoria are separated by a river. There isn't any Vet any better on this side of the river. Most DVMs can manage fleas, bites, etc., with ease. For chronic and critically ill animals PAH has been my only go to facility for 24-years. Dr. J is the 'cat's meow' in my book. The staff is incredible. My big dog that hated everyone loved the girls who worked here. He was nicely behaved for them...I don't know why. Maybe because there was a ride in the deal for him.

I did a lot of research before I decided to take my cat to Pekin Animal Hospital. Since my animals are like family, I wanted not only a location that was important but staff that was as well. Needless to say, I HAVE NOT BEEN DISAPPOINTED! I have an exotic cat, Egyptian Mau, which not every vet is familiar with and to top that off he is dropping weight rather quickly along with other symptoms. Being a single mom at the time, it was important to me that I stick to a budget but help my cat, who to me and my children is like famiy. Long story short, Dr. Niki along with each and every one of Pekin Animal Hospital staff member (sorry that I am not mentioning each and every one of you) went above and beyond to comfort me AND my cat. Unfortunately he did have to stay overnight, which was not easy on me, my children or my cat. But the staff at Pekin Animal Hospital made his stay as comfortable as possible. They made me feel bringing in all the extra little "crazy" = ) things "normal" in order for my cat to feel like he was within his home-like atmosphere. Unfortunately, we did not get a good diagnosis BUT they continually love on him when he has to come in to be weighed and treated and always welcome us with professionalism and THIS is what brings me back and why I will recommend them to anyone! Thank you Pekin Animal Hospital for being so wonderful. For loving my Jack just as much as I do when he has to stay with you and making me feel so comfortable leaving him with you even though I don't want to! = )Gwen Lutz

They also support and work closely with the efforts of TLC pet rescue, where we got our pets. I love that this clinic gives back to the community and supports lost and fostered pets.

I had taken my pup to two veterinarians many times over the past two years and explained his symptoms with videos i had made , neither one diagnosed him correctly. .pekin animal hospital diagnosed him...
I had taken my pup to two veterinarians many times over the past two years and explained his symptoms with videos i had made , neither one diagnosed him correctly. .pekin animal hospital diagnosed him correctly on the first visit with a heart issue but by then it was too late ..if you truly care for your pet this is the only vet i recommend in the pekin area

Pekin and Peoria are separated by a river. There isn't any Vet any better on this side of the river. Most DVMs can manage fleas, bites, etc., with ease. For chronic and critically ill animals PAH has been my only go to facility for 24-years. Dr. J is the 'cat's meow' in my book. The staff is incredible. My big dog that hated everyone loved the girls who worked here. He was nicely behaved for them...I don't know why. Maybe because there was a ride in the deal for him.

I did a lot of research before I decided to take my cat to Pekin Animal Hospital. Since my animals are like family, I wanted not only a location that was important but staff that was as well. Needless to say, I HAVE NOT BEEN DISAPPOINTED! I have an exotic cat, Egyptian Mau, which not every vet is familiar with and to top that off he is dropping weight rather quickly along with other symptoms. Being a single mom at the time, it was important to me that I stick to a budget but help my cat, who to me and my children is like famiy. Long story short, Dr. Niki along with each and every one of Pekin Animal Hospital staff member (sorry that I am not mentioning each and every one of you) went above and beyond to comfort me AND my cat. Unfortunately he did have to stay overnight, which was not easy on me, my children or my cat. But the staff at Pekin Animal Hospital made his stay as comfortable as possible. They made me feel bringing in all the extra little "crazy" = ) things "normal" in order for my cat to feel like he was within his home-like atmosphere. Unfortunately, we did not get a good diagnosis BUT they continually love on him when he has to come in to be weighed and treated and always welcome us with professionalism and THIS is what brings me back and why I will recommend them to anyone! Thank you Pekin Animal Hospital for being so wonderful. For loving my Jack just as much as I do when he has to stay with you and making me feel so comfortable leaving him with you even though I don't want to! = )Gwen Lutz
