This is a very compassionate, heartfelt, and courteous establishment with a very informative and honest staff. With the recent loss of a 9 year old best friend they have been more than amazing every step of the way and continue to respectfully acknowledge and comfort our family. The care and comfort they gave my dog is truly an understatement by naming it the best. My newest dog, who is a year and a half old, helped us discover Rescued Hearts due to the his previous vet mishandling and misleading both my pet and me into discomforting situations. Dr Simonson qas WONDERFUL with my boy. Porkie trusted him so much which speaks volumes, he's usually a bit grumpy at the vets.. He did is surgery and called me every step of the way. Everyone was so nice accepting of my million and one questions. I would 10000% recommend him to anyone. They even cleaned out his nasty ears and clipped his nails out of the kindness of there hearts! We had to take our dog there for euthanization and they were very caring and understanding and waited until my kids arrived and let everyone be in there that wanted to. They had also taken care of two of my dog's previously and we're always very professional. Read Less

I have been taking my pets there for over 5 years. They have always being so nice, the entire staff. I have had to put two very loved pets down there and they were so kind. I even got a card in the mail with a hand written note from both drs. With there condolences for my loss. Thier are wonderful group they are all kind and friendly, Really concern and helpful, I took my Great Dane in very Sick, and the Vet came to car picked him up and carried him in to help me. We have been taking our dogs to this veterinary hospital for 2 years now and we absolutely love them! They have taken such good care of our fur babies and we will continue to go here. Staff is wonderful and doctors are very thorough and listen to concerns. Prices are also very reasonable. Our dogs love going here and that says a lot about the staff. I feel very comfortable leaving my dogs with them and trust them 100%. Would highly recommend! Read Less

I was referred to RHAH by many people and was not disappointed. I am a spaz when it comes to my animals and worry about every little thing when it comes to their health, habits, behavior, etc. I feel dr Newcomb had the passion for animals that a lot of vets lack ( and I would know this as I have seen many ). I hope in the near future they incorporate equine veterinary again as I am looking to switch my horses vet!:) my first impression was exactly as everyone told me it would be. Read Less

The staff at rescued heart is awsome my first experience was a couple yrs ago when I had Buddy put to sleep I was very impressed. you can tell they love animals... but right off the bat , having convo , with the doctor.. about an issue .. with toxic mold .. she is uniformed , and needs to do alittle research .. before you give out information that's dead wrong. mold is a parasite and different molds are also different parasites.. which can be spread from animal to human /human to animal .. fact's that can be proven..and is documented. issues causing first , kidney failure ,hyper sensitivity , vision issues. intestinal issues , anal gland issues , Seizures , and much more . just spend a cpl days researching yr pets issues, and find a link..not always but better to know the facts. and yes it's 100% spreadable. Dr. Newcomb is wonderful. We've been seeing her for many years, but I've never appreciated her more than I have this last year. Since last October we've lost 3 out of our 4 fur babies to old age, cancer, and infection. Our most recent was our 8 1/2 year old rabbit, who I was so pleased to hear Dr. Newcomb was qualified to care for. Through this incredibly difficult year, the staff at Rescued Heart has been incredibly supportive and compassionate. I can't say enough how much I love this place! Read Less

I want to say Thank you to the staff here. We picked up a puppy today that had a issue with his leg. The lady we got it from got him from a homeless lady who was draging him. Then that lady got him from a guy that was kicking him and said he was worthless . Needless to say he had has a rough life. Vet told us he is 4months old. Got him x-rays and all that good stuff. Come to find out he has several breaks in his elbow but he dont let that get him down either. After talking we are adding him to our family. His name is Jasper now.. thank you again. I've brought cats and rats to Rescued Heart. I've never been to a vet clinic where the staff cared so much! Once I had to wait and my appointment ran late. To me, it's not a deal-breaker. The prices, which are quite reasonable, and the high level of service was worth the wait. Other times, everything was right on time. That time when my appointment was late seemed like a case of their customers getting off from work (post 5PM), all coming in at once, and also the phone ringing off the hook. Despite how stressful it looked with all that going on, the front staff desk didn't even blink. They still treated everyone with patience and kindness, still offered me the same amazing level of service. They are great people. It's very clear once you get in the examination room that there's no hurry to get you out the door. I think that's a good thing! Dr. Rytter spent as much time as I needed to help me care for my rats when they were sick. If you want compassionate people who truly care about both people AND their pets, and you're willing to occasionally wait in line while they help other people, go here. If you don't like the idea of waiting for your turn (for your sake, but mostly for theirs) go somewhere else. I am so grateful to live nearby such a great vet clinic. I can't recommend it more highly. I tried to respond to some of the issues that other people had with poor reviews. I would guess there are times of the day (or week) when Rescued Heart gets slammed. I also work in a customer service industry, so I know how that goes. Even when you have people making appointments for specific times, sometimes things run late or everyone comes it at once. Seriously, the desk staff could have lost their cool but they just rolled with it and within a short time everything was under control. It was cool to see actually. :-) Read Less

Went there a couple weeks ago, my family just recently got puppies and wanted to change from our previous clinic. We have older animals and needed to get the records transferred. The transition went very smoothly. The entire staff here was wonderful. They were helpful and very patient. Prices are fair. Definitely recommending them to friends. :) Read Less

You won't find more caring people than the staff at Rescued Heart. The fact that you have to wait sometimes is because they spend as much time with each patient as they need. I would rather wait & know that they are going to give 100% to my pets than hurry through each exam. Dr. Newcomb is the most tender hearted person you will meet. She goes above and beyond & I feel like she cares as much about my dogs as I do. She has actually gone in 2 times on her days off to care for my animals because they needed her.To anyone complaining about the wait- good luck finding speedy care elsewhere. I will stick with personal care when it comes to the health of my fur babies. Read Less

I've been there twice and will never go back. The first time was to have my dog groomed. I arrived to pick up my dog 5 minutes after receiving the call that she was ready. I had to wait in line FORTY minutes to get her, the place was an absolute madhouse! AND the groomer didn't follow my instructions....I asked for her body to be shaved down and her head and tail to go down to about an inch. She just barely trimmed her body and didn't trim her head and tail or her nails. I was so stressed out by the wait I just wanted to get the heck out of there. The second time was to have my dog's OFA's done. That time I waited 30 minutes in line and it was just as crazy and unorganized. The xrays came back slightly off, so I called the OFA administration to ask them about it. They told me the test shouldn 't be done if a dog is 4 weeks from a heat cycle, a pregnancy, or having nursed. When I had her OFA's done Rescued Heart KNEW she had just weaned her puppies the day before. I called Rescued Heart and told them the situation and asked for a retest at no charge to me...they said no, I would be charged and it was up to me to know when my dog could and couldn't be tested!
