We recently had to have our 21 year old cat euthanized. He was diagnosed with renal failure a year ago and Dr. Petersen provided us with many different options for his care. He has always been very thorough and is great at explaining to you what is going on with your animal if there is a problem. He helped us try every option available to allow us to love our kitty as long as possible. They took care of our kitty for nearly his entire life and we could not have asked for a more caring and compassionate staff. As long as I am in the area, I will always take my pets to see Dr. Petersen.

We've been bringing our two cats here since we got our first cat. Everyone here is very nice and helpful. They spayed and microchipped our second cat (first was done at the shelter) and we bring the cats for all their checkups and vaccinations. When we thought one of them possibly had a UTI, we called them and they answered our questions over the phone. Very nice clinic. We plan on staying with them until we move away from the Peoria area

My family and I have been taking our animals to Dr. Schwarzentraub for many years. I brought my first cat Lucy, who has since passed and the girls were amazing and so thoughtful during the whole time I had her and afterwards, When I got my second cat Wrigley, there was no question he was is coming here. The doctors and the staff are so kind to you every time you visit, I know my Wrigley is getting the best care at Prospect Animal Clinic. I also know that the ladies love Mr. Wrigley to pieces he is such a HAM!! Keep up the great work, I always name drop to my friends who have animals, and tell them it's a great place to take your pet.

Took my Yorkie there with a suspected pregnancy. Dr examined her and stated it was a false pregnancy..no signs of babies during palpation. 2 weeks later we took her to a different vet clinic and Dr palpated 4 puppies. Sonogram confirmed 4 little babies. Come weeks later she gave birth to 3 adorable babies and 1 stillborn.

Ive been taking my Dogs here since 2010 but no longer. First, they missed a diagnosis on one of my dogs a few years back. then this summer my german shorthaired pointer developed a neurological disorder. Dr. Johnson just referred me to U of I vet school and then refused to even consult with me on his condition afterwards. I needed some advice from him on how I should proceed after my visit to U of I but he wouldnt even speak to me on the phone just told the receptionist to have me call U of I. Sadly, I lost my sweet boy a few months after the onset of his symptoms. Prospect never even called me to check up on him after i was referred to U of I. Im done with them now. Clearly this is just a shot and spay/neuter clinic. If you want kindness and genuine caring go to hometown vet. They are wonderful.

Phenomenal team! The staff have been so wonderful to both my cranky cat (who HATES vets) and my new dog. Additionally, when I was going through some issues with my new dog, they spent time with me on the phone and helped connect me with the best trainer for her. I have had some bad experiences at other vets, but Prospect is the best!

We've used this clinic for over 30 years and highly recommend these caring professionals. They are so warm, friendly and knowledgeable. The doctors are wonderful (we see Dr. Schwartzentraub) and the staff is always friendly and easy to deal with. Our doc seems like a family member! They always take plenty of time with you in the exam room and handle our cats with gentleness and care. So glad we have a place we can take our pets and know that they will get the best of care! My wife and I have had as many as 6 cats and 2 dogs in our house at one time. We have never used any other veterinarians or would we. Their vets and staff are tremendous. They are always willing to answer any questions that we have and the pet care is absolutely fantastic. In 2013 we had a rough year, we had to have 3 cats and a dog euthanized over the year. They were all senior pets and had various issues. The vets see this everyday I am sure, but the sympathy, understanding and care they took with the animals as well as my wife and I was admirable.

I have been bringing my pets to Prospect Animal Clinic for more than 20 years and have to say that they are the best, kindest and most compassionate collection of vets in Peoria. I have recently lost both of my 17 year old cats and without the help from Prospect and Dr. Johnson, in particular, it would have been much more difficult. I will continue to visit Prospect with any future pets and hope that more will do the same. This is a vet to be commended as they appreciate not only the human/animal relationship but the loss of the pet as it affects the owner/caretaker.

We recently had to have our 21 year old cat euthanized. He was diagnosed with renal failure a year ago and Dr. Petersen provided us with many different options for his care. He has always been very thorough and is great at explaining to you what is going on with your animal if there is a problem. He helped us try every option available to allow us to love our kitty as long as possible. They took care of our kitty for nearly his entire life and we could not have asked for a more caring and compassionate staff. As long as I am in the area, I will always take my pets to see Dr. Petersen.

My wife and I have had as many as 6 cats and 2 dogs in our house at one time. We have never used any other veterinarians or would we. Their vets and staff are tremendous. They are always willing to answer any questions that we have and the pet care is absolutely fantastic. In 2013 we had a rough year, we had to have 3 cats and a dog euthanized over the year. I have been bringing my pets to Prospect Animal Clinic for more than 20 years and have to say that they are the best, kindest and most compassionate collection of vets in Peoria.
