We first started going to Mt Hawley Animal clinic due to an emergency surgery for one of our pets. That was several years ago. They are by far the best vet clinic we have been to. Dr. Dawson explains all options in a way that’s easy to understand to help you make the best decisions for your pets health. They are compassionate when caring for our pets.

We have had 3 pets that have been patients of Dr. Dawson and we have had nothing but good experiences with her and the entire clinic staff. They are kind, compassionate, and understanding and provide incredible care. Dr. Dawson is always honest and conservative in her approach and she truly cares and it really shows. The prices for treatments and visits are always reasonable as well. We also use the boarding services and couldn't be happier, it's comforting to know that our beloved pets are in good hands with the staff. They really show a lot of attention and care and give us piece of mind when we have to board our pet.
I highly recommend both the veterinary and boarding services here.

Love this place! The staff and doctors are always so pleasant and accommodating. Even though my dog and I live in Springfield now, we still drive to Peoria for Bella's check ups, dental cleaning, etc since we always have great service at Mt. Hawley Animal Clinic.

Recently started bringing our dogs here because they were having ear problems. Dr. Dawson and the staff were welcoming, friendly, and gave our dogs the best care. They are there to help your animals feel better and go through all the options with you so that you can make the best decisions for you and your dog within your budget. Looking forward to continuing to use their services!

I've been a client for many years. When I adopted my little Peke who had been traumatized by humans, Dr Dawson and the entire staff were always gentle & caring. When he was at the end of his life, they were so kind & respectful. Now, I've rescued a small cat and, as expected, they knew just how to handle her (and me). I wouldn't think of taking my pets anywhere else.

I can not give enough praise to this Animal Clinic. I have been to A LOT of different vets in Peoria, IL searching for one that would truly care for my animals and I struck GOLD with this vet and her employees. We have a chocolate lab that is 80 lbs and stubborn at times and the staff has NEVER made me feel rushed or made me feel like an inconvenience. They take there time in explaining EVERYTHING to me and always keep me updated on what needs to be done and what they are doing to my pets. The staff at this location are practically family to us and they ALWAYS answer all my questions when I call. I just adopted a kitten from the local shelter and they have been wonderful with her as well. Even let me borrow a kitty taxi to help with the adjustment of the kitty getting introduced to my large lab. They have WONDERFUL hours and I've never had any issues with scheduling appointments or getting my animals seen. Vet is ALWAYS loving, caring, friendly and understanding. THEY ARE THE BEST IN TOWN and I recommend them to EVERYONE I know with animals. Dr. Dawson is the BEST in TOWN by far!

I can not give enough praise to this Animal Clinic. I have been to A LOT of different vets in Peoria, IL searching for one that would truly care for my animals and I struck GOLD with this vet and her employees. We have a chocolate lab that is 80 lbs and stubborn at times and the staff has NEVER made me feel rushed or made me feel like an inconvenience. They take there time in explaining EVERYTHING to me and always keep me updated on what needs to be done and what they are doing to my pets. The staff at this location are practically family to us and they ALWAYS answer all my questions when I call. I just adopted a kitten from the local shelter and they have been wonderful with her as well. Even let me borrow a kitty taxi to help with the adjustment of the kitty getting introduced to my large lab. They have WONDERFUL hours and I've never had any issues with scheduling appointments or getting my animals seen. Vet is ALWAYS loving, caring, friendly and understanding. THEY ARE THE BEST IN TOWN and I recommend them to EVERYONE I know with animals. Dr. Dawson is the BEST in TOWN by FAR!!!!!

Mt Hawley is wonderful! I've been bringing my dogs here for several years. They know and love my dogs, and my dogs are always excited when we come in, because they know they'll be showered with attention and affection! The staff is very knowlegable and professional, but they all really love animals, and it shows : )

I was very concerned about my cat, but did not yet have a vet in Peoria. The clinic was able to get me in the next day. Dr. Ptasnik and the assistant were both great with my cat and it was an easily fixed problem. The medicine was not expensive, and she did not charge me for a basic examination fee like you will see in a lot of vet offices, as it only took three minutes to diagnose. I will be calling to make his annual check-up soon, and she will be his vet until we leave Peoria! I was impressed.

We have had 3 pets that have been patients of Dr. Dawson and we have had nothing but good experiences with her and the entire clinic staff. They are kind, compassionate, and understanding and provide incredible care. Dr. Dawson is always honest and conservative in her approach and she truly cares and it really shows. I've been a client for many years. When I adopted my little Peke who had been traumatized by humans, Dr Dawson and the entire staff were always gentle & caring. When he was at the end of his life, they were so kind & respectful. Now, I've rescued a small cat and, as expected, they knew just how to handle her (and me). I was very concerned about my cat, but did not yet have a vet in Peoria. The clinic was able to get me in the next day. Dr. Ptasnik and the assistant were both great with my cat and it was an easily fixed problem. The medicine was not expensive, and she did not charge me for a basic examination fee like you will see in a lot of vet offices, as it only took three minutes to diagnose. I will be calling to make his annual check-up soon, and she will be his vet until we leave Peoria! I was impressed.
