I’ve been to multiple vets over the last 14 years. Dr. Kuhn-Siegel and her staff are genuinely sweet, caring and compassionate. My senior mini Dachsund, Bentley, underwent oral surgery that was long overdue. I couldn’t be more impressed and happy with how smooth this serious procedure went. We've been receiving care for both our cat and dog here for almost two years now. We recently had a little scare when Bailey our dog when she got tangled around a tie out leash and lacerated her inner thigh. Unfortunately, at the time this occurred only the Tri County Pet Hospital in town was open. The care Bailey received there was very minimal and upsetting for the price we paid. After treatment we saw the full extent of the cut and it had to have been roughly 4 inches long. We were baffled when they considered this "heal-able on its own". When we left she was still in a considerable amount of pain. The next day we were able to make an appointment with Prairie Animal Hospital immediately for evaluation. The vet set up an appointment for stitches us the next day. We were very pleased and thankful for their care. We absolutely loved receiving a photo and phone call mid afternoon of our Bailey recovering. Her and her team are amazing! Bailey was back in full spirits the next day minus dealing with the new "cone of shame". The next week her scar was barely noticeable. They did an absolute amazing job. Please support their team! The vet was nice.  The facility is barebones.  I went here on the weekend when my vet was closed.  They misdiagnosed my dogs problem but in their defense it was a symptom of a rare problem which my uncle who is a retired vet only encountered once in his career. Read Less

The staff always go all out to make sure my baby is taken care of When her teeth were done they kept me up to date on her status as I was nervous about sedation. I have been using this vet for almost 2 years and can't complain. I live in Eureka, and am happy to drive the 40 min. for this particular vet. They showed me insurance options, and I have saved a lot and was able to afford Harley her MUCH needed teeth cleaning. The vet also has a doggy daycare and other services. Read Less

Dr. Rachael and her staff are very laid-back making my dog and me feel comfortable when visiting the vet. My pup loves everyone at the office, and Dr. Rachael stands behind her credentials providing me with the peace of mind that my dog is in good hands. You can tell she does what she does because it's her passion which, to me, is important. Doc never hesitates to answer questions and takes the time to explain in-detail my pet's state of health. Services are reasonably priced as each cost of care estimate I've received have been far less costly than I'd originally assumed. This is by far the best animal hospital I have ever seen. I have two cats and they have been to many vet's before I took them here, everyone here is very nice, and one of my cats, who is very jumpy around new things, sat calmly during her exam and didn't try jumping on everything in the room. And what I will never get over is how she diagnosed my oldest cat, I've had her about 12 years, with asthma. My cat has always had a really bad hacking cough and every other vet I went to never knew what was wrong! But here? They helped right away and her breathing and coughing is so much better now! SO impressed. The doctor and staff went out of their way to make my big dog (who has social issues) feel comfortable. They were caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and prompt. I couldn't ask for better. We have to drive a bit to get to the facility, but it is well worth it. HIGHLY recommend!! Read Less

Dr. Rachael is awesome. Our Maltipoo, Buddy, took a puppy class there, and they did an awesome job working with him. Buddy and Hank (our Golden Retriever) are both patients there and have had nothing but the best care. Dr. Rachael discovered that Hank's thyroid was sluggish and prescribed meds, and he is like a new dog now. Anytime we have had minor emergencies with our dogs, Dr. Rachael has come to the rescue immediately for us. The rest of the staff is awesome there, too. Read Less

Dr. Kuhn and her staff care about your pet as much as you and your family. They're very honest and listen to your concerns and that's what I was looking for in a good Veterinarian for the love of my life.  Dr. Kuhn remembers her patients, their needs, and personally calls to check up on them.
