Dr. Bruno is AWFUL!! She YELLS at her staff and is beyond rude. I brought my fiance’s dog in because he was vomiting and while I waited in the room, I could hear her totally berating an employee!! On top of that, she had no idea what was wrong and basically sent me home with nothing!! I called the next day because he hadn’t improved and when I was finally able to speak to her, she was rude, condescending and just acted like I was bothering her. And I’m not sure why because it is obvious they are not a busy hospital!! Not one other person was there at any point of my visit. No wonder!! I wish I could put negative stars...I was Dr.Brunos employee for only 3 weeks. She is an incredibly rude, miserable lady. She yelled daily at me and her one and only loyal employee and there was always a ton of drama. She treats everyone like they are all imbeciles, staff and customers included. This animal hospital is AWFUL!!! The vet literally screams at her employees, is extremely rude and condescending and she is a terrible doctor. She has never had an answer any time either of my dogs has been sick!! After reading the other reviews, I cannot believe they are still in business. Took our kitten of under 7 months for a simple surgical procedure for a healthy kitten. Super friendly guy, cuddly, lap kitten. Dr. Bruno killed him. He went in absolutely fine, and when she returned him he wasn't eating, drinking, and using his liter. Took him back and she gave him fluids that leaked from the injection and canned food, but no answers. Went back again and this time he couldn't walk, eat...nothing. She was angry I didn't have an appointment and showed up...I called and was told she couldn't see him for almost two days...this is an emergency. She took him, put him in a cage and to my guess, didn't do a thing to him till the end of the day. He suffered so bad, over drugged, no nutrition given. I called all day and was told she was too busy to talk to me. Never take your pet here for anything. She has no respect for the animals she treats or thier owners. RIP our beautiful little friend. My animals are very important family members in our household. We moved out here a year ago and have used Crossroads since. Not only do they care about my animals, they provide excellent care, always finding a way to get my animals scheduled even when it is last minute! Great location, very close to my house. However, the convenience is not worth going there. Even with the 1/2 off vaccines on Tuesdays, this place is expensive. $31 for exam and I overpaid twice for the fecal test which was $35. I never paid $35 anywhere. I wish I could give negative stars. This place is a absolute joke. Dr Bruno never has a answer for what is wrong with my animals, I was there yesterday and she was SCREAMING at her staff. I even asked the staff how they could work for someone like her. I don't care how well paying of a job it is, I would not be able to handle it. She also draws blood from the jugular (WHO DOES THAT?!) I took another dog of mine there multiple times just because it was close to my house and every time it took a good 5 minutes to draw the blood. Once I get my dogs test results back I will be going in there and raising hell. She is a very miserable person and takes it out on her employees as well as customers. Read Less

Although the techs seemed very nice, Dr. Bruno is not. She speaks down to you and her staff. Its hard for me to feel uncomfortable around someone but she made me not want to go back. Simple questions I would ask, she would make me feel stupid. Did not feel like I or my dog was welcome there. I am not picky, I just think it is pretty simple just to be friendly, especially in a field like this. Why waste your time and money and most importantly your dogs health with someone that is rude? I felt this way my first visit, but let myself go back 2 more times in hopes that things would change, it only got worse - so now I am looking for a new place to go. Hope this helps! Read Less

I just had a GREAT experience at Crossroads Veterinary Clinic in Pingree Grove, IL with Dr. Sally Bruno. I was happy with my previous vet, but it was just to far to travel. I was really apprehensive about switching but I am so glad I did. Dr. Bruno was great with my hound as was her staff. I am pretty picky about vets and really watch how they interact with my dogs, and Dr. Bruno was so good with her! The clinic is new, sparkling clean, and they are really friendly. Dr. Bruno spent over an hour and a half with me answering questions, explaining everything, and offering different solutions. She was so friendly and professional, I would highly recommend her to any animal owner. BONUS: They also do half-price shots on Tuesdays! Stop in and meet her, she's great!
