Came here to get my dogs teeth cleaned. Not only are they overpriced but I had several problems. I brought my dogs records from the previous vet due to me moving. My dogs had their 3 year rabies shot and they 1. Almost gave my dogs another rabies shot. 2. They did bloodwork to test for heartworm and blew my one dogs vein in his hind leg. 3. They were not going to intubate my dogs during the teeth cleaning ( because he has been in practice for 40 years and didnt feel it was necessary) which the dogs have to be sedated and under anastasia which is pretty standard practice. I called multiple vets from around the area and got prices and what their procedure was and all of them responded with it was a risk to not intubate due to not being able to monitor the dogs respirations (breathing) not to mention it is putting the dog at risk for aspiration of fluid (inhaling foreign matter) which can cause pneumonia. 3. They did not inform me that due to my dogs being around 8 years of age that a kidney and liver test were reccomended to make sure the anastasia would not harm them. Then after calling the other vets they informed me of this. I called back and the girl working said she did ask me if I wanted that done and that I declined it. NOTHING WAS MENTIONED TO ME ABOUT THIS BLOOD TEST TO CHECK THEIR LIVER AND KIDNEYS I HAD ANOTHER PERSON THERE WITH ME AND NEITHER ONE OF US WERE TOLD THIS. 4. I also asked them about flea medicine due to neighborhood dogs roaming freely and I wanted it to just be on the safe side. She told me it was around $16.00 for one dose I have two dogs so $32.00. I didnt think it was that bad until she handed me a plastic dose pack. Which after doing research of my own because they didnt tell me the brand or anything about it (only that if my dogs had a reaction to it to bath my dogs in dawn dish soap and give 1mg of benadril per pound of dog) come to find out it comes with a applicator to apply to your dog which was not given to me. Not to mention the back of the dose packaging the writing was hard to decypher due to it being scratched. Long story short she told me to put it between their shoulder blades under the hair. After I found out what brand it was ( vet kem ovitrol xtend flea and tick spot on for toy dogs, which you can buy a whole box for around $16.00 by the way) they said to put it in the applicator and start at the shoulders and go down the back or it would run down the side of the dog. SHE TOLD ME TO PUT IT IN BETWEEN THEIR SHOULDERS. Oviously this place dont know what they are doing and this vet needs to retire. I work in healthcare I can tell this is a overpriced shady place. If you care for your animals dont take them here. Save your self time and money and go someplace that knows what they are doing. The other vets I spoke with were stunned at what I was told by this place. This place made a horrible first impression and I wont be returning for the saftey of my dogs. Read Less
