Will not be returning to this vet after my experience today.
I brought my dog in for annual vaccines and a heartworm test. Dr Thomas took her in the back, "gave her the 3 vaccines and performed the heartworm test", and then sent me on my way. I clearly asked Dr Thomas how I would know the results for the heartworm test after he gave me minimal information upon returning my dog to me. He said it would be ready in a few minutes and sent me to pay my bill. I paid and looked through the papers. Asked the receptionist how I would get the heartworm result.. she seemed surprised and said it would be a few minutes (seems to be the standard line) and assumed I would leave. A few minutes later a tech ran out and said I need your dog back sorry. We NEVER did the heartworm test (that I just paid for). She brings her back and says I can leave. I ask for the results. She runs away again. She comes back and says "they're negative". I had to ask again for printed proof of the result. I do not understand how Dr Thomas forgot to draw the blood and neglected to recall the test was never done, even when I asked for the results right when he came back into the room. It was highly unprofessional and overpriced as well.
What if I never asked for the heartworm results? How do I know the vaccines were even given? I do not trust this place.

I was very nervous bringing my cat, Bender, in when he was not eating and lethargic. He rarely leaves the apt and I dreaded the ordeal. This animal hospital made the process extremely easy and low stress. I found them very caring and attentive. One thing I really liked about the doctor is she gave me options on treatment and was honest about cost, so I could scale to what I could afford, as opposed to simply laying out an expensive treatment plan and handing over an invoice.Contact with the hospital is quick and friendly. Love that you have access to records via the PetSites webpage and app. Highly recommend.

They take good care of our dogs. We recently switched from another practice in Oak Park and prefer going here. Our dog just had ACL surgery and is in recovery. The surgery seemed to have been done well as she is recovering well. It's not the cheapest place but you get good care. Easy to get appointments.

I brought my dog in for annual vaccines and a heartworm test. Dr Thomas took her in the back, "gave her the 3 vaccines and performed the heartworm test", and then sent me on my way. I clearly asked Dr Thomas how I would know the results for the heartworm test after he gave me minimal information upon returning my dog to me.
