I got one of my cats here, and the prices are good and the animals seem fine but, my cat has feline herpes (it can only be spread cat to cat) they said that he was there for two years and never noticed or took him away from the other cats. Took our dog the other day for euthanasia and the staff was very compassionate and understanding. The actual process lasted less than 2 minutes, was in a private room and they allowed us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes. They also gave us a plaster paw print free of charge. Read Less

I took my dog to Rock Island Animal Hospital because she'd not been herself for nearly a week. I'd looked up her symptoms on WebMD Pets and, convinced she was dying, apprehensively drove her down the hill.They were pretty good. Most, if not all, appointments at Rock Island Animal Hospital are walk-in, which was nice for us since we're from out of town and don't have a regular veterinarian here. We waited about 30 minutes to be seen. The vet tech employed tone-of-voice and body language to guilt trip me for not bringing my dog in sooner. The veterinarian talked to me a lot, though she didn't work very hard to set my dog at ease in the way her regular vet does. After a quick physical exam, the vet made a diagnosis and suggested tests. 20 minutes later, we were on our way. Rock Island Animal Hospital was useful in the same way that Urgent Care is useful when you need a couple of stitches or something else comes up unexpectedly. After some reflection, however, I feel like the services rendered were somewhat impersonal and would not return for regular care. Read Less

"No appointment necessary", those were magical words when I needed an urgent vet visit for my newly rescued dog. I never considered crossing the river before, but I'm so glad I did. I found an efficient office and caring staff to take care of her. Fast forward to 6 years later and they are still providing great care for my pets. My aging cat had a seizure and I rushed him in thinking that he was on death's door. They were calm and immediately took him to the back for treatment. They explained that sometimes seizures happen for no reason and it's not necessarily a life threatening situation. They observed him for awhile and sent us home. As I was going out to the car to get my wallet to pay for the office visit, they told me there wouldn't be a charge since they didn't do any treatments. WOW.....I"m still impressed with their services even after my original vet retired, and I'm even more impressed with the current staff and their new facility. Read Less

Kind and helpful staff. Relatively affordable. Our cat had a UTI but they couldn't get a urine sample from her. Offered to house her overnight so we didn't need to make several trips. It was really convenient and helpful for our schedule. The cat's all better now and we love this vet office! Read Less

Fast, friendly, freaky good veterinarian care for my feline(s). I bought the kitten package on my first EVER visit here (I live in Bettendorf), and it is such a money saver. It also ensures that your kitten receives all the vaccines and preventative treatments that they need. I have rescued another kitten from the same feral litter and will be bringing her in to the Rock Island Animal Hospital for the same wonderful care. This is going to be my "go to" veterinarian in the future. I wish I would have ventured over the bridge sooner.Read Less

Fantastic group of kind and compassionate professionals. I have two Great Danes and three Maine Coon cats that receive great care. The entire staff greats all of them like they are their long lost family members and treat them like they are their family members. Lots of love - nothing is "mechanical", always smiling and talking to my four legged family members like they are people. So love this office!!!! I've been taking my pets here for years, and it's easy to get them treated for whatever ails them, and their price on Frontline Plus isn't bad. I've even been able to get medication for my cat's tapeworm w/o bringing my poor kitty down to the clinic. This clinic has been around for years, with a great reputation! It doesn't cost you a fortune to have your pet looked at, and you DON'T need an appointment, which is GREAT in my book! The best time to go is right at 1:30 when they come back from lunch, and I guarantee you'll be in and out quickly! Read Less
