Ill start by saying I love the veterinarian (The young tall one..not much experience with the older one) he was so concerned he took an ultrasound of my cat's stomach without charging me. Which really meant a lot considering I ended up spending somewhere around 150$ and she still isn't well...anyways the missing stars is due to unclean rooms. I noticed it when my cat was a kitten that the floor was covered in hair and exam Table was not wiped down. Last time I took her there about a month ago there was a blue/green mat on the exam Table, Animal hair all in it and stains of poo or who knows what. I shouldnt have let her on that table. All I'm saying is it's a huge turn off thinking if I go there again my cat could possibly come back home with some other sickness.. which is why I'm done going there. I LOVE this place. The staff is so friendly and nice. Since I am a teacher, my availability during the week is limited to hours outside of the school day, but the staff is very accommodating and is great with helping to schedule appointments. I love the office and that there is usually an office dog and/or cat roaming around. The staff is very helpful in giving advice and you can even buy some products in their office. I really like that they offer products to buy in their office but don't pressure you into buying anything. My cat had some signs of gingivitis and the vet tech gave me a sample of some food to use as treats to help clean the cats teeth. Read Less

Great staff and team of vetinarians. They really take the time to listen and to get to know you and your pet. You can tell they genuinely care and wait time is never long at your appointed time. I have tried several places in Rockford all of which were not satisfactory. Alpine Vetinary Clinic is the best! Read Less

Dr.Helland took care my animals years ago he is really great with our 2 yorkies. We have never had a problem with him or Dr.Saunders. I'm sure there are a lot of wonderful vets out there, but I would rather have a vet that has as much experience as these two. I feel like I can depend on what they tell us.Read Less

My 4lb puppy was stung by a bee this fall and my wife called them (in a panic) to see if he could be seen immediately.  He was showing signs of respiratory distress.  We were in the process of looking for a new vet as the one we were currently using was not meeting our needs but rather only taking our money.  She and I discussed Alpine Veterinary Hospital as I had been recommended to them by another family.So back to that terrifying day this last fall.  The office told her to come immediately, when she arrived carrying our tiny puppy in - the vet was waiting at the counter for her and instantly took our puppy to the back for treatment.Their kindness and compassion is what has us so pleased.  This truly feels like a small-town vet.  The entire staff is professional and caring.  We feel that everyone there cares about their jobs and the animals.  Which then makes the humans happy. Very bad experience. We were referred to this place to get Natal X-rays for a puppy count. We had conception dates confirmed with the breeder, and yet the vet INSISTED that we didn't know what we were talking about, his estimate of a due date was off by 15 days. WOW. He was very arrogant, insisting that his say on all matters was the FINAL say. He was very reluctant to give us copies of the xrays, and after insisting with the receptionist, were offered to purchase a CD of the images for $10. If you have an AKC Registered purebred animal, do NOT go to this place. Learn from our lesson and go were your breeder goes... even if you have to travel any distance to get there!Read Less
