Mulford Animal Hospital

Rockford, Illinois
General Info
Because of this, pet parents throughout Rockford continue to turn to and trust the knowledgeable and friendly staff at Mulford Animal Hospital. Mulford Animal Hospital in Rockford treats every appointment as a collection of repetitive patterns that ensure the pet’s stability. This model of care supports families throughout Illinois. Every day, appointment rooms are set up identically (furniture, lights, entry points) in order to eliminate extra decisions. Staff members use minimal voice intonation and restrict their body movements. They also pause between steps to allow the pet to adjust. The elimination of odors was prioritized as smells were neutralized in between the visits to prevent them from layering. Pet orientation patterns dictate whether pet owners prefer to sit close or away from their pets. Mulford Animal Hospital provides various services such as diagnostics, infection management, joint health assessment, nutritional and behavioral consultations, and recovery tracking. Every service exists within a continuous sequence rather than as an isolated checklist item. When the animal turns away or pins its ears, the staff needs to reestablish those nonverbal cues they used initially by continuously repeating them on a low-impact level (e.g., stroking the air in front of the dog, offering a “tactile anchor” such as a towel or sleeve). Protocols for post-care management (rhythm method of putting back). Parents are taught how to help the child adjust their morning routine after the procedure. Parents are educated on how to reduce stimuli in the home and use gentle ambient sound to help the child adjust sleep patterns. These recommendations strive for more than just providing tips by assisting pets to regain their footing as they ease back into daily routines. Mulford Animal Hospital offers veterinary services in Rockford and nearby Illinois communities through the natural animal regulation system. It is based on a gentle rhythm, predictable space, and low-noise decision-making. Services to note include Allergy Testing, Emergency Care, Orthopedic Surgery, Dental Radiographs, Avian (Bird) Care, Laser Therapy, Dental Care, Cold Laser Therapy, Pocket Pet Care and Internal Medicine. Mulford Animal Hospital seeks to create confidence among pet owners, whether helping them implement routine wellness plans or finding the best way to treat complex health issues. The team is dedicated to ongoing development and community involvement, aiming to ensure that all pets in Rockford and beyond have access to exceptional care.

I had a lionhead rabbit that just turned 4 years old. I used to see Dr Dietz for years but then she retired. This other Dr Harbach took over and I wasnt happy till she tramatized my rabbit. I saw blood in my rabbits urine and was very concerned and brought her in. Dr. Harbach diagnosed her with a Uti. Put her on antibiotics for a,week. I saw no improvement. After my rabbit finished her antibiotics I still was seeing the blood. I brought her back in and grant you my rabbit was completely fine and normal when I brought her in. She was chipper, eating acting her usual self. Until Dr. Harbach tried to get a urinalysis on her, they stressed my rabbit out and raised her temperature to 105 degrees. A rabbit just dont get a fever in a few minutes. They covered her and stressed her out. God knows what or how they tried to get a urine specimen from her, but whatever they did caused my rabbit to die and have a heart attack. The Dr brought my rabbit back into the room and tried to put her in her cage when I saw her nearly pass out. I said to her what is wring with my rabbit and why is she acting like that. They took her back again and less than 5 mins later the dr came back to me and didnt know what to say to me. She stated she tried to resesitate her but I think she just let her die. I have never been so hurt, sad and heartbroken over my rabbits death. She knew she killed her and didnt have the heart to tell me the truth. An owner knows their pet. My baby was completely fine when I had brought her in. They stressed her out and killed her. I will never go back there again. Please people be careful who treats your pets. In my opinion, when they take your pet back, the owner should be allowed to come back and be present. The owner should see what exactly is being done to their animal. Sometimes the animal feels safer when they see their owner by their side. I know my Bella did. I really wish I didnt bring her back today, because she would have been still alive right now. Read Less
