When we still lived in Illinois, we would bring our pets (two cats and Sheltie) Tina, Cleo, and Cassie here for everything. That was twenty years ago, and I still remember how wonderful and thoughtful Dr Prunsky was before we made the journey west to Colorado Springs.
We had taken our pets to her for 8 years after leaving a larger more sophisticated practice in Morton Grove, and found her to be more like the old fashioned family doctors I remembered growing up. Plus, in the late 90's, computers weren't as common everywhere as they are now, so it didn't seem unusual for a small veterinary practice like hers not to have all the bells and whistles one sees today.
We also felt at the time, and I've discovered that it's equally true with our current veterinarian here... that it's not necessary to have all the fancy equipment if you are a good doctor. You can keep your overhead low, and be a great doctor to your furry patients without sacrificing quality of care.
That is why after 20 years I am recommending that my dear friend bring his pet cat here. She has never been to a veterinarian, and he had no idea where to go. He could afford to take her to the swankiest veterinary practice in town, but I recommended Dr Prunsky, because I know she cares about her patients, and their families.

Took my dog here for her first round of vaccinations and the vet asked me why I got a pitbull and when he poked her with the shot she cried and he told me “pitbulls have a high pain tolerance, she seems like she’ll be an aggressive dog”. Extremely rude. Never went back, never would recommend anyone going there. My dog is 6years old and is the most patient dog, great with the little French Bulldog I got, great with kids/babies, and great around my older grandparents.

Dr Prunsky is amazing. On my boyfriends recommendation I took my cat to see her. His vet died last year and I had no idea where to take him. Kiki is a 17 year old senior American feline. He was rather lethargic, had diarrhea and some incontinence. I was immediately impressed with the loving and caring way Dr. Prunsky examined Kiki. She kept him overnight and ran some tests. We get the results tomorrow. Meanwhile we have a happy kitty on a new diet. I will definitely be returning and recommending her to everyone I know.

I have been going here for years, primarily for the reasonable rates, and my sister in law for years before me, because she loved the veterinarians and the old fashioned kind of charming facility. Yes they are not the latest in automation, but I would definitely not judge them by that. Better to look at the flowers out front, and the care they show the animals (as well as their rates). They are very good.

I love this place. The vet here is really patient with my dogs and it was the first time my dogs weren't going nuts about a vet touching them. He lets you stay with your dog while he examines him/her....
I love this place. The vet here is really patient with my dogs and it was the first time my dogs weren't going nuts about a vet touching them. He lets you stay with your dog while he examines him/her. He will give you his opinion and options about what needs to be done. He will do his best to make sure the absolutely necessary is done without killing your wallet. I definitely recommend him to anyone who wants a kind vet who will give you the best information and treatment possible.

When we still lived in Illinois, we would bring our pets (two cats and Sheltie) Tina, Cleo, and Cassie here for everything. That was twenty years ago, and I still remember how wonderful and thoughtful Dr Prunsky was before we made the journey west to Colorado Springs.

Dr Prunsky is amazing. On my boyfriends recommendation I took my cat to see her. His vet died last year and I had no idea where to take him. Kiki is a 17 year old senior American feline.
