I have taken my dog kynli here prior to today for skin issues, we were prescribed medications and was treated efficiently. $175 later we were good to go. No big deal, I paid it and we were happy. They've sent us a couple cards over the holidays and what not..Today I call them about an emergency as soon as they open, because my dog had chased our 4wheeler and all 4 of her pads are bleeding and she can barely walk! I asked them since I have no outstanding balance and have been there before if they would let me make a payment plan and pay $30 today and they could see her. They told me no and that it would be $200 deposit and that I should call surrounding vets about payment plans. 1. I would be a new customer to any other vets other than laketown so they will not take payment plans. 2 if Kynli already is an established patient HERE, why won't they take a payment plan when I'm calling in despair?!?! I just don't understand, they have money to send me and all of thier other patients cards, but can't make a payment plan for me when I really have an emergency this time?!? This isn't fair, I will continue to call other vets even though we've only ever been to laketown. Wow. This is unbelievable my dog can't even walk right now and I got turned away because I only had $30 on hand today EVEN THOUGH I'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE AND PAID CASH EVERY VISIT IN FULL. the one time I can't and it's AN EMERGENCY MY DOG CAN BARELY WALK. you must really care about our pets..Read Less

I have been using Lake town since I moved to Springfield 3 years ago. Within this time frame I had had multiple visits with my 3 dogs that were both routine and unexpected. They have always taken excellent care of my girls from Roxanne needing tail amputation surgery to Goldie needing help across the Rainbow Bridge. It was my first experience with both of these things and the staff made sure my girls were well taken care of and very comfortable. They were also very compassionate with Goldie's passing. I also had an incident where my dog Cali had horrible allergies and was losing her hair. Within 2 weeks of her visit, her hair had almost fully grown back and she was happy again. We usually see Dr Peterson for all of our needs and he is great with them!!! Read Less

We weren't happy with our treatment. We've been going to Laketown for around 10 years and we've always been happy with them. This time they were not friendly, more than once, didn't explain things well, sold us extra medicine that was not needed and never called to see how Luna was doing. We used them 6year ago in a similar situation and they were great caring explained things and talked more about the medicine so we didn't have way more then we might have needed. Read Less

I have been taking my senior cat here for a few months now - all of my experience is with Dr. Jane Morris, and of course the staff at the front desk.This is a great animal hospital - everyone there loves animals.  I feel that they strike a very good balance between thorough diagnostics, and cost (i.e. not adding a whole bunch of extra tests on right away that cost a fortune, but not doing too little either.  I'm from Chicago and very used to being put off by what I considered excessive diagnostics for what should have been a simple problem.)I have also boarded my cat there when she was on medication and I was out of town for several days - many compliments there too! I have five pets and it seems like I am always going to the vet or calling for something. I take all my pets to Laketown Animal Hospital.They take wonderful care of us there. I get calls to remind me of my appointments or when medication is ready. I get a copy of the medical record e mail to me after they see the Dr. I can communicate and shop with them online, text, or phone. They always seem to be able to get me in right away or have just what I need. I have also used their kennel facility and grooming services. the quality of service and care is great. They know and talk to my dogs by name. It makes me feel very good to have found a place that treats us like FAMILY. With having five pets I am always looking for cheaper care and supplies on just about everything. I still go there for Service and all my supplies. Between the guarentees and coupons they keep at the counter, they have about the best deals. Once I needed medication for my dog that had to come from a pharmacy. They called five different pharmacies to find the best deal for me. WOW they really go the extra mile. Thank you Laketown staff and Doctors for all you do. We will be seeing you in the future. This is the vet I have been going to for the last twelve years or so for my cats. Longer than that for the family dog, though I wasn't in charge of that... my mother was.I am very pleased with the service and staff at Lake Town and the care they give to my pets when they have had to stay there for medical reasons.-- I have lost a good amount of my high opinion for this clinic in the last year, so I am lowering my rating.I'm also looking for a new vet. This place saved me (and my dog!)  I was out in Springfield for training when my doggy was kicked out of the hotel.  The hotel was "pet-friendly" but Bucko had a mini-panic attack when I left him in the room and the hotel said- "do something with him"...  I felt quite stuck (being pulled out of the training and having to make quick decisions about my baby without knowing a soul in town)Luckily, Laketown was recommended to me and  they were able to take care of Bucko for the 3 days I was in training.  He was allowed to be in the hotel as long as I was in the room, so the day boarding service was perfect and ONLY $7.95/day!   I was skeptical because I HATE the thought of caging Bucko but strangely, he was eager to go back to the vet the second day and ran right in.  He usually cowers before entering a vet!  The staff was so incredibly nice and nurturing to Bucko and accommodating to my situation.   I would trust these guys to take care of him any 'ol day.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
