They gave amazing care to our Bruno, including when we had to say our final goodbye to our beloved 14 year old pup! They were compassionate and never charged for anything unnecessary. Even told us we shouldn't get extra tests just to find out all of his ailments. He was 14 yrs old, had kidneys failing and could barely walk. HORRIBLE! Took my cat in to get groomed yesterday and she came back with a cut on her back!!! I noticed it immediately when I got home and took her out of her carrier. This place is amazing. Friendly staff awesome doctors. They saved my puppies life. While she was in surgery due to her swallowing a foreign object, the doctor himself would call me everyday just to give me a status on her health. They had told me that most of her intestines were damaged and she had a 50/50 chance she wasn't going to make it. They pulled through and so did maddie. Crowded. One of the tech's was a little rude, but not terrible. I docked them a star because they don't take appointments. But overall it was a good vets office with reasonable prices and the vet we saw was AMAZING. Not the cleanest place and the wait time can be outrageous, but the care and prices they offer in return will likely make you a repeat customer. This clinic saved my dog's life. She was fighting cancer, and her condition had gone undiagnosed for almost a year despite paying well over a thousand dollars at Banfield and to the "specialists" at VCA. Summit didn't immediately disagnose her either, but they were persistent! For a fraction of what I had paid at the other vet locations, they took care of her surgery, the tons of meds she had to take during recovery and a follow-up visit. I've been taking my dogs here for a few years now after going to a different vet, and I would never switch back. They really care about your pets and want the best for them. Prices are also very reasonable here. All the doctors and staff here are so nice and helpful. The ONLY downside is that parking is impossible, they don't really have a parking lot, you just park on the street. And the area fits like max 6 cars. Read Less

I don't remember how I found this place, but it was the best place I could have ever found. They told me exactly what happened to my dog and they made him better. The price was convenient, medication was on point. The stuff they use to clean and treat the ear infections in wonderful. Cosmetically it needs some TLC but other than that I love them all. I seriously don't know how this place has this high of ratings! Let start off by how they don't take appointments. Its more of a walk in and test your luck waiting. Wanted to try this vet since it was recommended by a friend and everyone says it has the best prices. Came here on a Thursday at 8am right when they open. There was already 6 people ahead of me. Parking is quite difficult since its street parking and no parking lot. Upon entering the vet clinic there was no air or ventilation in a tiny waiting room. Behind the front desk it was a mess! Papers everywhere everything disorganized. The waiting area was filthy! I was even afraid of letting my dog sit on the floor without catching something! I decided to stick it out and not judge a book by its cover. 2 hours later I was finally called. The vet tech who helped me had no idea what puppy shots he had received mind you the book with all his vaccines and akc papers were there. She was very uneducated! The rooms were disgusting! I mean they looked like they haven't been cleaned or scrubbed in years! I literally took my dog and walked out! I dont know how people can have their dogs treated in such disgusting conditions! It may be reasonably priced but to what cost! I would never recommend this vet to anyone! They need to do some serious cleaning, desanitizing and organize! 2 hour wait for nothing! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my two pits. Dr. Tracee is so awesome. She's such a loving and down to earth person!!! Most vets just want to get the job done. Some don't even make contact with your dog. My favorite is the women taking everyone's appointments. My previous vet said that I would need to take my dog to a specialist to have a growth removed from her eyelid and that she needed to have a cracked tooth removed.  He had told me $500 alone for the tooth.  I took Mishka here and the doc said that she would look at the tooth and decide if the tooth actually needed to be removed when she was under anesthesia for the removal of the growth on her eyelid.  She would only remove the tooth if necessary because removing it would leave a large whole in her sinus cavity and be prone to infections.  The surgery on the eyelid was $125 and the blood work $55 and the doc was wonderful with her, so gentle.  The tooth did not need to be removed.  There is definitely a wait since it is first come first serve but so worth it to get great care for my baby and not have to pay an arm and a leg. Wonderful place ONLY place I would take my dog in the city.  I had an emergency with my dog and his stitches and staples were coming out from a procedure her had the week before and they took excellent care of him. We only waited to see the vet for 20 minutes and Dr. Tracee took great care of him. She fixed him right up and healed like a charm. And they were so reasonably priced that there was no question that we would be back for all our pets needs and tell everyone how great this place is and everyone should take there pets there. This place is the best. All of the staff are so caring, the Vet's are all top notch. Dr.'s Tracee, Jen, and Nathan are wonderful. They don't push any unnecessary treatments on you or your pet and support whatever decision you want to make for your pet's care. Yes, sometimes there is a wait, but they try to get you in as quick as they can. No one is standing around here. They have a very busy practice because the quality of care is excellent. Call first, and ask how busy they are on any given day. And if the phone is busy, call back!! I highly recommend Summit Animal Hospital and would never take my furry kids anywhere else. So my dog leaped off the bed led out a Yelp (no pun intended)  and it comes to find out she pinched a nerve in her back when she did and let out a Yelp and was paralyzed in her hind legs. Daisy may was 13 years old. We exhausted ourselves financially with vet stays, steroid shots and after a week of vigorous treatment with no change whatsoever to her health the vets conferred with us. Told us our options and we decided that although she wasn't in pain that she wouldn't want to live like this and not knowing when she would make potty or #2s we decided as a family that it would be best for her to be put down. Everybody was so professional and caring as we came in, we held her and kissed her so when she crossed over to the rainbow bridge she knew she was loved. They were respectful in all aspects from the start to the very end. We received a clump of hair when cremated. Now there's no better veterinarian in the area. They do not care about $ as much as most and will work with you with payment plans...they care about your animal. Now I have a pickle dog, her name is pickle Lilly and she will only be seen at summit animal hospital. I drive all the way down here for them to take care of my puppy. This team truly cares about the animals that are brought in. I've had her ears cropped here and they turned out very nice. She's also had all her shots here, easy in and out process. There was also a problem with her skin where she was getting allergic to the weather and they got us in with a free check up and got some medication for her.You love your pet? So does this team.
