I just moved to the area and took my cat in to get him set up at a new vet and to have a vet authorize us to get a heartworm preventative (Revolution). I got an appointment the next day! The clinic was very clean and nice, the receptionist was clear and helpful, and they even had a nice waiting room for felines only! I really appreciated it. I did not have to wait long before the vet assistant brought us to the room. After she did preliminary stuff we did not have to wait long for the vet to come in. Dr. Melissa Corson was great and knows her stuff. My cat had a clean bill of health except his teeth reallyyy need to be cleaned. She gave me a very detailed estimate of what a cleaning would cost and entail. I even received a 40$ off coupon! I booked a cleaning before I left. I had a great experience and trust them with my cat. Once of the best (if not the best) clinics I've been to.
Edit: the dental cleaning went excellently. No problems, all good. They are top notch professionals at what they do and communicate to you clearly. So friendly and really do want the best for you and your pet. Attached are pictures before and after the cleaning.

While the staff seems knowledgeable and helpful, they really need to get their pricing together.
When I brought in my 6yo cat, they told me she had horrible gingivitis and needed at least 2 teeth pulled and a cleaning, for $900, not including the recommended blood work, for a grand total of ~$1050. I told them I'd need to think about it, because that is a lot of money to just drop.
It turns out they were trying to rip me off. I got a second opinion from the Cortland vet (I recommend them to everyone) and it was estimated to be about $300, including the blood work. I moved away from the area before I got the chance to take my cat in, so I wasn't able to take advantage of that option.
I got a third quote for $350 for the cleaning including blood work and xray. I was also told that my cat needed no teeth pulled. In the end it was still only $305.
I'm still not sure what the vet at Bethany Animal hospital was trying to pull, but thank goodness I didn't go through with that. Plus, my kitty didn't need teeth unnecessarily pulled, so it was good for her, too!
They get a 2/5 stars because when I brought in my puppy, they were always patient when he was too excited and peed on the floor multiple times.

It was recommended by our trusted vet that I bring my pooch here for a pretty major surgery, and two minor surgeries while he was going to be "out" anyhow. Each staff member was friendly and understanding- not only with our dog, but also with us as anxious and scared parents. We left him knowing he was in great hands. We were filled with contentment when Dr. Dominguez took the time to call us and give a thorough review of how everything went post op, while showing compassion and professionalism. When we got to pick our pooch up, Dr. Dominguez, and his staff members spent time with us, (even after close,) to make sure we were ready to take care of anything that could arise while our dog heals up. We left feeling educated, confident, and relieved. I highly recommend Bethany!

We took our 1 year old pit to Bethany when our regular vet couldn’t get us in for an ear infection and rear-end issue. Dr. Brown and our vet tech were fantastic! He’s normally a nervous wreck at the vet, but they were so gentle and quick (yet attentive and answered all our questions) he didn’t have time to freak out. Dr. Brown’s genuine love for animals shines, and our pittie showed her lots of love back! Thanks for making it such a pleasant experience. We’ll be back.

I'm very particular about my vet being a cat friendly environment. Its stressful for cats to travel and its way worse when you arrive at a dirty office full of barking misbehaved dogs and piles of hair in every corner. I just moved to the area and was nervous about a new place but after getting countless recomendations, i chose bethany. They were overly accomodating to cats! They had plug ins giving off hormones throughout the specialized feline areas to help make them more r...elaxed and feline only rooms with dimmed lights and places to set the carrier up next to you. The doctor was sweet and gentle with my Merlin and the office was spotless. They even sprayed his carrier with the hormones to help his ride home be less stressful and it really worked. Only been here once now but i was extremely impressed and will definitely not hesitate going back with my felines! See more

Dr. Dominguez is not only an exceptional Veterinarian but a highly skilled Veterinary Surgeon as well. He actually formed artificial leg architecture for my rambunctious Beagle not once but twice since she mistakenly 5hought she could fly off a high exterior deck on two occasions. Results weren't Olympic calibre in that she fractured a back leg each time. Dr. Dominguez to the rescue in fixing both so well she doesn't even limp from either accident--amazing! I don't think you can go wrong entrusting your "fur baby" or mature animal family member to Dr. Dominguez.

We normally see another vet, but there was a time when our dog had a bit of an emergency. She had a suspected UTI, but the vet tech at our usual vet wouldn't schedule us to be seen before her next annual (which was 12 days away). We knew she needed to be seen sooner than later, so We called Bethany. I explained her symptoms, and they scheduled us in the very next day! It was a serious issue that would have quickly become worse. They seemed passionate about taking the best care of us, and they took the time to explain everything. I highly recommend Bethany Animal Hospital.

From a cat momma: This is a cat friendly practice (not all animal hospitals or per boarding facilities are), which means they study the unique needs of cats. They use pheromones to calm cats down, have a separate waiting room for cats, etc. I boarded my cat at Bethany, and my cat got the white parts of herself noticeably dirty, because she likes to roll around on the floor. I was ecstatic to find that they'd given my cat a bath on the day I picked her up, and her fur is all beautiful, clean, and non-irritating to my skin. I don't know how they did it, because my cat was a feral little monster to everyone who wasn't me.

What normally would be a very frustrating experience is made far less stressful by the dedicated feline waiting room, cat-only Saturday ("Caturday") morning availability, feliway dispensers, and friendly vets and techs.

Bethany Animal Hospital went above and beyond to show our family care and compassion during a very difficult time. When our cat Mina suddenly fell ill, Dr. Corson thoroughly explained all of the treatment options available to us. Since my husband was unable to accompany me to the appointment, Dr. Corson made several phone calls to him over the course of testing to explain the results and suggest the next steps. Her knowledge, patience and compassion were a huge comfort to us ...in a very stressful time. I am extremely thankful for her guidance. We were unable to treat Mina, so we returned to Bethany for her end of life care. Every single employee (front desk, vet techs, Dr. Brown) was extremely kind to me in my grief and I knew that Mina would be handled with dignity once I left. Thank you, Bethany Animal Hospital. We moved to Dekalb in 2014. This is the 3rd vet we've used. First 2 were inefficient and inconsistent. We find that Bethany has folks who are both kind and efficient. Prices are probably high end of normal range. My only issue is that there is no after hours emergency service. We had to drive to St Charles in a snow storm to get help for our dog who got sick on a Sunday morning. But, I don't know of any other vet that provides emergency service in this area either. Kind of worrisome.

You will LOVE this place as I do as they are so loving, caring and compassionate for you and your pet. I also found their pricing comparable to the other place. Bethany Animal Hospital is a good place to take your pet for some tlc because the staff and facility is comfortable for both pets and their owners, and the staff is very compassionate and professional. Dr. Dominguez has always been so patient and loving with our pups. The techs and front staff are always kind and courteous. Everyone is so caring and thoughtful. I love going to Bethany! Are Dog was sick and we usually go to Praire view so we called them they told us there were no openings and maybe we could get in later and they would call us well we are paranoid people so we called Bethany they said yes you can bring him in but there's a urgent care fee which we didn't care about a fee we want are dog heathy so we went there they got us right in did a exam and all the tests the doctor told me do you want a estimate on all these tests I said it doesn't matter how much it is the Doctor was great DR Brown went over everything with us X-rays and all the blood work didn't get picked up when it was supposed to so we had to wait a extra day but the doctor said she would call us from her home the minute it came in to give us peace of mind this is the kind of place I want to bring my kids cause that's what are dogs are to us you never want to go to the vet unless it's a checkup but if you have to its good to know there's a place that will be there for you and also they waived the urgent care fee thank you very much for giving us peace of mind and taking care of Geno we will be switching are vet to Bethany.. PS Praire view got back to us at 6pm to ask how are dog was after they were about to close

I have two dogs that I brought to Bethany. The first one who is almost a year I never had any issues/concerns with they always got her in. Always answered questions or anything I had. I brought my new 4 month puppy in and my feelings changed for them. I was going to do a Lepto vaccine for my new puppy. They wanted me to come back in 1 week for the start of the series and 2 weeks after that for a final one. I asked the receptionist if I had to pay for a vet visit each time. She advised she didn't know. They were getting close to closing so I decided to call back the next day and ask again. When I called back the receptionist confirmed I would have to pay for an exam visit and a shot. When I asked why she said a vet had to give the vaccine which I knew was NOT correct. I had worked at a shelter for a few years and gave vaccines to dogs/cats everyday. I simply took her to another vet who confirmed a vet did not have to give the shot a tech could. Also, confirmed I should not be charged for an exam visit. I'm not sure if both of the receptionists were really just unaware or if they were really going to charge.

All in all, amazing vet to take your pet. Positives: I have always left feeling reassured and confident, the employees fell head over heels for my dog and have always given him the utmost care. I have always been able to ask as many questions as needed, and never left feeling rushed or like the job was "half-assed" for lack of a better term. Dr. Brown has been amazing with my dog and always tries to find the option of treatment that fits our needs and his. Given there are times you just can't afford certain treatments, unlike other vets who pressure you to do the treatments anyway, they don't judge, but explore your options and work with you. I highly recommend BAH for your pet, and don't doubt they'll get the best care and you'll get the best service. Negatives: None. I would say the fact that they're one of the more pricey vets in town could be perceived as a negative, but pets are expensive. And you get what you pay for. Pay the money for quality service and ample knowledge/experience.

After my senior Chihuahua was seen at a different vet for more than a year and was mis-diagnosed with late stage heart failure, I was told that his lungs were full of fluid and the humane thing to do was let him go...I went to Bethany as a final hope that something could be done for him because he still had such life in him. I came to find out that Fritz did NOT have heart failure. He had developed chronic bronchitis and his heart was NOT abnormal. I almost euthanized my little old guy for a non existent condition! Thank you Dr. Domnguez for not only correcting this diagnosis but the care you have given Fritz. Always tweeking his meds if needed and following up on his care. Thank's to you and the staff, he is now doing wonderful and loving and living life to the full again. Can not thank Bethany enough! You truly saved his life!

Bethany Animal Hospital could not have been more compassionate, accomodating and professional when I called with an emergency. My dog collapsed without warning. They let me bring her in immediately, helped get her from the car and waited until I got there to get the info so they could treat her more quickly. Unfortunately I had to let her go but they made an awful experience bearable. From the front desk to Dr. Dominguez they were outstanding. I will return under better circumstances with my other pets.

I transferred my cat from an emergency clinic to Bethany Animal Hospital after he suffered a urinary blockage on a Sunday. Dr Stover was very caring, and thoroughly explained my options. She regularly called me with updates, and I felt that he was very safe in her care. Upon his release, she went over the home care instructions, including the medicines and food she was sending home with me, along with a printout of everything for reference. She called to follow up a day later, and I had some questions for her. She gave me the reassurance that I needed. She is also planning to follow up with me in a week, and we have an appointment in 4 weeks to check on his progress.I cannot say how thankful I am to have taken my cat to Bethany Animal Hospital. The staff there are very friendly and helpful, and Dr Stover is by far the best veterinarian I have ever worked with. I thank her for taking such good care of my Thomas!!

We switched over to Bethany Animal Hospital for our dog, and then switched all of our parents' dogs as well because of the excellent care we received by the veterenarians there. Our dogs range in size...
We switched over to Bethany Animal Hospital for our dog, and then switched all of our parents' dogs as well because of the excellent care we received by the veterenarians there. Our dogs range in size from 15 lbs. to 68 lbs, and they were very good with all of them... our only complaint is that they don't have a vet on call in the evening or on weekends to even answer questions, and the closest vet that does is VCA in Aurora.

I just moved to the area and took my cat in to get him set up at a new vet and to have a vet authorize us to get a heartworm preventative (Revolution). I got an appointment the next day! The clinic was very clean and nice, the receptionist was clear and helpful, and they even had a nice waiting room for felines only! I really appreciated it. I did not have to wait long before the vet assistant brought us to the room. After she did preliminary stuff we did not have to wait long for the vet to come in. Dr. Melissa Corson was great and knows her stuff. My cat had a clean bill of health except his teeth reallyyy need to be cleaned. She gave me a very detailed estimate of what a cleaning would cost and entail. I even received a 40$ off coupon! I booked a cleaning before I left. I had a great experience and trust them with my cat. Once of the best (if not the best) clinics I've been to.
Edit: the dental cleaning went excellently. No problems, all good. They are top notch professionals at what they do and communicate to you clearly. So friendly and really do want the best for you and your pet. Attached are pictures before and after the cleaning.

While the staff seems knowledgeable and helpful, they really need to get their pricing together.
When I brought in my 6yo cat, they told me she had horrible gingivitis and needed at least 2 teeth pulled and a cleaning, for $900, not including the recommended blood work, for a grand total of ~$1050. I told them I'd need to think about it, because that is a lot of money to just drop.
It turns out they were trying to rip me off. I got a second opinion from the Cortland vet (I recommend them to everyone) and it was estimated to be about $300, including the blood work. I moved away from the area before I got the chance to take my cat in, so I wasn't able to take advantage of that option.
I got a third quote for $350 for the cleaning including blood work and xray. I was also told that my cat needed no teeth pulled. In the end it was still only $305.
I'm still not sure what the vet at Bethany Animal hospital was trying to pull, but thank goodness I didn't go through with that. Plus, my kitty didn't need teeth unnecessarily pulled, so it was good for her, too!
They get a 2/5 stars because when I brought in my puppy, they were always patient when he was too excited and peed on the floor multiple times.

It was recommended by our trusted vet that I bring my pooch here for a pretty major surgery, and two minor surgeries while he was going to be "out" anyhow. Each staff member was friendly and understanding- not only with our dog, but also with us as anxious and scared parents. We left him knowing he was in great hands. We were filled with contentment when Dr. Dominguez took the time to call us and give a thorough review of how everything went post op, while showing compassion and professionalism. When we got to pick our pooch up, Dr. Dominguez, and his staff members spent time with us, (even after close,) to make sure we were ready to take care of anything that could arise while our dog heals up. We left feeling educated, confident, and relieved. I highly recommend Bethany!

We took our 1 year old pit to Bethany when our regular vet couldn’t get us in for an ear infection and rear-end issue. Dr. Brown and our vet tech were fantastic! He’s normally a nervous wreck at the vet, but they were so gentle and quick (yet attentive and answered all our questions) he didn’t have time to freak out. Dr. Brown’s genuine love for animals shines, and our pittie showed her lots of love back! Thanks for making it such a pleasant experience. We’ll be back.

I'm very particular about my vet being a cat friendly environment. Its stressful for cats to travel and its way worse when you arrive at a dirty office full of barking misbehaved dogs and piles of hair in every corner. I just moved to the area and was nervous about a new place but after getting countless recomendations, i chose bethany. They were overly accomodating to cats! They had plug ins giving off hormones throughout the specialized feline areas to help make them more r...elaxed and feline only rooms with dimmed lights and places to set the carrier up next to you. The doctor was sweet and gentle with my Merlin and the office was spotless. They even sprayed his carrier with the hormones to help his ride home be less stressful and it really worked. Only been here once now but i was extremely impressed and will definitely not hesitate going back with my felines! See more

Dr. Dominguez is not only an exceptional Veterinarian but a highly skilled Veterinary Surgeon as well. He actually formed artificial leg architecture for my rambunctious Beagle not once but twice since she mistakenly 5hought she could fly off a high exterior deck on two occasions. Results weren't Olympic calibre in that she fractured a back leg each time. Dr. Dominguez to the rescue in fixing both so well she doesn't even limp from either accident--amazing! I don't think you can go wrong entrusting your "fur baby" or mature animal family member to Dr. Dominguez.

We normally see another vet, but there was a time when our dog had a bit of an emergency. She had a suspected UTI, but the vet tech at our usual vet wouldn't schedule us to be seen before her next annual (which was 12 days away). We knew she needed to be seen sooner than later, so We called Bethany. I explained her symptoms, and they scheduled us in the very next day! It was a serious issue that would have quickly become worse. They seemed passionate about taking the best care of us, and they took the time to explain everything. I highly recommend Bethany Animal Hospital.

From a cat momma: This is a cat friendly practice (not all animal hospitals or per boarding facilities are), which means they study the unique needs of cats. They use pheromones to calm cats down, have a separate waiting room for cats, etc. I boarded my cat at Bethany, and my cat got the white parts of herself noticeably dirty, because she likes to roll around on the floor. I was ecstatic to find that they'd given my cat a bath on the day I picked her up, and her fur is all beautiful, clean, and non-irritating to my skin. I don't know how they did it, because my cat was a feral little monster to everyone who wasn't me.

What normally would be a very frustrating experience is made far less stressful by the dedicated feline waiting room, cat-only Saturday ("Caturday") morning availability, feliway dispensers, and friendly vets and techs.

When our cat Mina suddenly fell ill, Dr. Corson thoroughly explained all of the treatment options available to us. Since my husband was unable to accompany me to the appointment, Dr. Corson made several phone calls to him over the course of testing to explain the results and suggest the next steps. Her knowledge, patience and compassion were a huge comfort to us ...in a very stressful time. I am extremely thankful for her guidance. We were unable to treat Mina, so we returned to Bethany for her end of life care. Every single employee (front desk, vet techs, Dr. Brown) was extremely kind to me in my grief and I knew that Mina would be handled with dignity once I left. Thank you, Bethany Animal Hospital. We moved to Dekalb in 2014. This is the 3rd vet we've used. First 2 were inefficient and inconsistent. We find that Bethany has folks who are both kind and efficient. Prices are probably high end of normal range. My only issue is that there is no after hours emergency service. We had to drive to St Charles in a snow storm to get help for our dog who got sick on a Sunday morning. But, I don't know of any other vet that provides emergency service in this area either. Kind of worrisome.

Are Dog was sick and we usually go to Praire view so we called them they told us there were no openings and maybe we could get in later and they would call us well we are paranoid people so we called Bethany they said yes you can bring him in but there's a urgent care fee which we didn't care about a fee we want are dog heathy so we went there they got us right in did a exam and all the tests the doctor told me do you want a estimate on all these tests I said it doesn't matter how much it is the Doctor was great DR Brown went over everything with us X-rays and all the blood work didn't get picked up when it was supposed to so we had to wait a extra day but the doctor said she would call us from her home the minute it came in to give us peace of mind this is the kind of place I want to bring my kids cause that's what are dogs are to us you never want to go to the vet unless it's a checkup but if you have to its good to know there's a place that will be there for you and also they waived the urgent care fee thank you very much for giving us peace of mind and taking care of Geno we will be switching are vet to Bethany.. PS Praire view got back to us at 6pm to ask how are dog was after they were about to close

I have two dogs that I brought to Bethany. The first one who is almost a year I never had any issues/concerns with they always got her in. Always answered questions or anything I had. I brought my new 4 month puppy in and my feelings changed for them. I was going to do a Lepto vaccine for my new puppy. They wanted me to come back in 1 week for the start of the series and 2 weeks after that for a final one. I asked the receptionist if I had to pay for a vet visit each time. She advised she didn't know. They were getting close to closing so I decided to call back the next day and ask again. When I called back the receptionist confirmed I would have to pay for an exam visit and a shot. When I asked why she said a vet had to give the vaccine which I knew was NOT correct. I had worked at a shelter for a few years and gave vaccines to dogs/cats everyday. I simply took her to another vet who confirmed a vet did not have to give the shot a tech could. Also, confirmed I should not be charged for an exam visit. I'm not sure if both of the receptionists were really just unaware or if they were really going to charge.

All in all, amazing vet to take your pet. Positives: I have always left feeling reassured and confident, the employees fell head over heels for my dog and have always given him the utmost care. I have always been able to ask as many questions as needed, and never left feeling rushed or like the job was "half-assed" for lack of a better term. Dr. Brown has been amazing with my dog and always tries to find the option of treatment that fits our needs and his. Given there are times you just can't afford certain treatments, unlike other vets who pressure you to do the treatments anyway, they don't judge, but explore your options and work with you. I highly recommend BAH for your pet, and don't doubt they'll get the best care and you'll get the best service. Negatives: None. I would say the fact that they're one of the more pricey vets in town could be perceived as a negative, but pets are expensive. And you get what you pay for. Pay the money for quality service and ample knowledge/experience.

After my senior Chihuahua was seen at a different vet for more than a year and was mis-diagnosed with late stage heart failure, I was told that his lungs were full of fluid and the humane thing to do was let him go...I went to Bethany as a final hope that something could be done for him because he still had such life in him. I came to find out that Fritz did NOT have heart failure. He had developed chronic bronchitis and his heart was NOT abnormal. I almost euthanized my little old guy for a non existent condition! Thank you Dr. Domnguez for not only correcting this diagnosis but the care you have given Fritz. Always tweeking his meds if needed and following up on his care. Thank's to you and the staff, he is now doing wonderful and loving and living life to the full again. Can not thank Bethany enough! You truly saved his life!

Bethany Animal Hospital could not have been more compassionate, accomodating and professional when I called with an emergency. My dog collapsed without warning. They let me bring her in immediately, helped get her from the car and waited until I got there to get the info so they could treat her more quickly. Unfortunately I had to let her go but they made an awful experience bearable. From the front desk to Dr. Dominguez they were outstanding. I will return under better circumstances with my other pets.

I transferred my cat from an emergency clinic to Bethany Animal Hospital after he suffered a urinary blockage on a Sunday. Dr Stover was very caring, and thoroughly explained my options. She regularly called me with updates, and I felt that he was very safe in her care. Upon his release, she went over the home care instructions, including the medicines and food she was sending home with me, along with a printout of everything for reference. She called to follow up a day later, and I had some questions for her. She gave me the reassurance that I needed. She is also planning to follow up with me in a week, and we have an appointment in 4 weeks to check on his progress.I cannot say how thankful I am to have taken my cat to Bethany Animal Hospital. The staff there are very friendly and helpful, and Dr Stover is by far the best veterinarian I have ever worked with. I thank her for taking such good care of my Thomas!!

This place is great. We are always able to get in quickly and everyone is very nice and seem to love animals. We've been here for the routine to the serious and always had great service.

We switched over to Bethany Animal Hospital for our dog, and then switched all of our parents' dogs as well because of the excellent care we received by the veterenarians there. Our dogs range in size from 15 lbs. to 68 lbs, and they were very good with all of them... our only complaint is that they don't have a vet on call in the evening or on weekends to even answer questions, and the closest vet that does is VCA in Aurora.
