Big difference between this place and Naperville animal hospital and Boulder terrace vet.
This place bought a $27,000 in-house urinalysis machine (see picture for report), and I was able to both get a written analysis within 5 minutes, but also a visual picture of the microscopic blood and crystals in my cat's urine.
Dr. Nancy Vigil says they reinvest a lot of money each year in buying the latest high tech equipment (dental x-ray, digital x-ray, urinalysis machine, and more.) She stresses that her job of caring for animals is very important, and I like hearing that they take great care rather than focus merely on profit.
Their price was about the same as Boulder at $60 for the basic exam. I think this is less than Naperville animal hospital if I remember correctly. It's bigger than Boulder, but less rooms than Naperville.
It's very big and spacious, the rooms are huge, and I love that you can make an appointment rather than being pushed to be a walk in by Naperville animal hospital.
The staff was very nice, you could tell they liked working there, and on Thursday at 11am, it wasn't crowded at all - I didn't have to wait.
They have everything you need including prescription food.
Unlike Boulder and NAH, the Warrenville Grove animal hospital vet had superior knowledge (probably due to the in-house equipment), and Dr. Nancy Vigil was super experienced and took the time to explain things.
The only thing I wish they did was have 24 hour emergency care like NAH.
Anyway, this was my first experience here - I give them 5 stars. Conversely, I give Boulder 2.5 stars, NAH 1 star (something changed in the past half year over there - new management??). I also have experience with VCA in Downers Grove that I also give 5 stars, but definitely stay away from Danada is my advice.
Tip: take a look at the uploaded pic of the urinalysis - it's very cool and educational to actually see what's going on. The dots are blood and the rods are crystals, both of which could block tract.
Unlike HAVING TO GUESS what the problem is and give my cat medication he didn't need like Boulder (because they had to send out for the analysis and lab work), this place is there place to be if you want the BEST care with an accurate diagnosis on the spot without having to wait for a follow up appointment or call day(s) later like Boulder. I do not appreciate that Boulder sent me home with medication, then called a day later to say he didn't need it and I could stop - not only a waste of money (big $) for me, but also a big hassle and added stress for my cat!
