Most people do not feel compelled to leave reviews when a business does the right things. However, in this case, Dr. Scott Kruse at Village Veterinary went well above and beyond the job for us.
Dr. Kruse saw our 7.5 year old Bernese Mountain Dog - Staley, in the waning days of his life. Unfortunately he developed a rare cancer that this breed often gets. Dr. Kruse saw us through one of the most difficult times and decisions my wife and I have had to make in our life to date.
His consultation ran the gamut. At first continuing to troubleshoot Staley's illness, change diet, help bring back some energy - which eventually shifted to helping him feel more comfortable in his final days. His final consultation was for us (and Staley) - how to feel confident in the decisions we are making, what was the right thing for Staley, how to cope with the loss of a loved one.
You just don't find that personal touch in most businesses these days. As much as this is shout out to the business, it is much more telling of the genuinely good man behind the business. Thank you Dr. Kruse.

Village Veterinary in Western Springs is the best. They took care of our dog for annual check ups, and helped us when she got sick. They were flexible, compassionate and caring for our dog and our family. What a lovely gesture to receive sympathy flowers and a personal card when our dog passed away signed by everyone on the team. It really meant a lot at a difficult time. I highly recommend them.

Village Veterinary in Western Springs is the best. They took care of our dog for annual check ups, and helped us when she got sick. Thanks to Village Veterinary for their years of care to our 2 dogs since we moved to CH. We recently lost our second dog, and while the end for our furry friend came at an emergency vet on a holiday weekend, the emergency vet must have notified them of our loss and we received a condolence phone call and a memorial plant. Nice to know that they treat their patients (4 legged and their family) with such compassion.

Dr. Hayna is amazing. I went to two other local practices before settling down at Village Vet in Clarendon. Dr. Hayna is never in any rush, is easy to get an appointment with and truly cares about your pet. She diagnosed a heart murmur in my pup, after 2 other doctors saw him and missed it and we have been on a preventative treatment plan ever since. I highly recommend this small, friendly and extremely welcoming practice!!

Most people do not feel compelled to leave reviews when a business does the right things. However, in this case, Dr. Scott Kruse at Village Veterinary went well above and beyond the job for us.
