College Station Cat Clinic

Wheaton, Illinois
General Info
Families in Wheaton rely on College Station Cat Clinic to manage multi-pet veterinary care through steady insight and adaptable support across Illinois. During initial consultations veterinarians examine detailed accounts of each pet's background alongside behavior patterns and recent alterations while assessing their household roles. Examinations become unique to each animal by evaluating its posture along with ear and eye clarity while assessing skin health and hydration together with gait patterns and temperament around both humans and other animals. Shared symptoms such as mild coughing and low appetite receive contextual evaluation because multi-pet environments can obscure or amplify health indicators. College Station Cat Clinic delivers customized wellness planning alongside diagnostic services and surgical consultations while offering weight monitoring, dental examinations, and preventive care scheduling. Care plans undergo staging to accommodate both owner logistics and pet personalities by spacing out visits when necessary or grouping procedures to enhance time and energy management. This establishes routine sustainability for households managing new adoptions alongside age-related slowdowns and travel schedules. Clinic staff present families with options in a clear manner that provides sufficient detail for decision-making while avoiding overwhelming them. At every appointment phase owners have the opportunity to ask questions while built-in communication ensures ongoing dialogue through follow-ups. The College Station Cat Clinic assists Wheaton families and those from nearby Illinois areas in establishing veterinary patterns that align with their home routines to ensure each pet receives a voice and each veterinary visit gains significance.

Very kind and caring staff. Thorough cat exams with vets who answer all your questions and are available after hours as well. As with all good things in life, a little on the expensive side, but if you consider your cat a member of the family, well worth the added expense. Dr. Watson in particular is a favorite. He never rushes you through the exam, is attentive, caring, gentle and kind. Definitely enjoys his work and is extremely personable as well. Read Less

We love this place. Great vets and excellent techs ( nurses or what they should be called). I get a call back about any of my questions and usually from the doctor not from somebobdoy else. The doctors actually listen and do not seemed rushed even though I know that they are busy. I also see the same staff of doctors, receptionists and techs (or nurses) there for the last 7 years. We first came to College Station when seeking out a more informed second opinion after a very negative experience with another vet, and we were impressed with the quality of care and attention to detail. We moved away for a little while and never found a place we liked as much as this one. I'm especially impressed at how diligent they are about following up after visits, to ensure any problems have been resolved. And the one time I had an issue that really worried me, they were great about fitting us in, it just involved some extra waiting so they could take care of their scheduled kitties first, which was more than reasonable. If you are picking something up from their clinic, the office closes from 12 pm-1 pm daily. One time I had to pick something up when I was living further away and ended up not able to make it there until 11:50 am. The office was already solidly locked up, so unfortunately I had to wait around until 1:05 pm or so for them to reopen. If it's out of your way, I definitely wouldn't cut it too close to lunch hour. Loved the Drs, they were patient and understanding. HOWEVER, getting someone on the phone here is mission impossible. I wanted to board my cat, could not get a hold of anyone, did not return voicemails. Getting an appointment is super difficult because they do not return calls, or answer the phone during operating hours. The doctors promise follow-up, and while they do, if you are away from your phone and try returning the call back, the dragons that answer the phone (should they actually answer) will not let you talk to the doctor.
