Interesting experience for sure that has even led me to write a negative review for the first time. I personally like having a vet that takes the time to examine my pets and doesn’t spend time outside smoking a cigarette. The lady in front was giving attitude in response to the questions I was asking even though as a pet owner I should rightfully so ask. I also find alarming that upon entering the exam room with my pets I see the counter scattered with medicines everywhere even syringes out in the open not disposed of properly. I have friends who’ve gone to vets where they are given the proper treatment but this vet was just not it. I would recommend people to not bring their pets here and find a better veterinarian that truly cares for your pets. Our animals deserve the proper care and attention from a veterinarian. Stay away from this veterinary clinic.

I had a legal case with my dog, and i couldnt ask for better service. Doctor is most professional person I met dealing with vets for the last 11 years in USA. I was already in stress coming to the clinic and doctor as well as his assistant took the best possible care of our case at the highest of possible professional level. They both made sure that as me as well as my dog felt further only comfortable, he is unobtrusive to an animal, asses the situation quick, finally he’s intelligent and down to earth doctor of an amazing intuition.
He even helped me deal with a women from animal control over the phone who was biased towards us even though he didn’t have to do it. His confidence, intuition and down to earth posture meant literally everything to me that day. Not only genial vet but - a human being. Im not afraid entrust him most precious thing I have - my dog. And my dog trust him - from the first sight.
Reasonable price they don’t treat patients like an opportunity to make money - like most places these days.
We feel blessed we found this place and can’t say thank you enough ❤️🌹

We love Dr. Shapiro and Nurse Natasha. They are the kindest, most compassionate and most professional animal health specialists out there. I've had a lot of dogs and cats and been to numerous specialists for different reasons, but Dr. Shapiro seems to always find an answer. His interest is only in the animal. So happy we were referred to him. Additionally, if there's a problem with your pet, Natasha the nurse said you can contact Dr. Shapiro on his cell phone. He's always there for you. Who does that? Nobody in the world!!

I can't say enough how pleased I am with Dr. V.Shapiro. When it comes to your pet being in trouble - you just panic! To have a veterinarian who you trust and rely on is extremely important! Over time He had been treating my cat and two dogs. Today I made a call after hours... my dog had the bites wounds. After talking to him on provided for the emergency number, This Doctor made a special trip back to his clinic, just to make sure that my dog was ok. I am amazed how caring and come he had been - it made me right away less worried. It's not a large clinic, but has up-today technology, reasonable prices, knowledgeable vet and personable service I highly recommend!

My elderly cat started peeing blood so we took her here. Dr. Shapiro and Natalia are really good, caring people. The costs are very reasonable and I felt that they were very practical with their advice for my kitty and did not order any excessive tests or recommend expensive procedures that ultimately would not have helped her. Unfortunately, unlike another reviewer, they were not able to save her from her advanced kidney disease. I do, however, appreciate how well they cared for her in her last few days. When my other cat started throwing up blood, I took her here as well, and she is doing much better. Additionally, I feel that they are very available. They answer the phone reliably, and are often able to make appointments the day of, which I very much appreciated as my kitty's health debilitated quickly and without much warning.

We have this amazing cat, that suddenly started pulling his hair out from both sides of his back. I consulted with a veterinarian whom consulted with a few other veterinarians from another animal hospital, not one of them had any type of a decent diagnosis.
Then a miracle happened, my friend gave me the phone number of this magical diagnostician Dr. Shapiro, our problem was solved immediately.
On another visit he diagnosed and treated our cats coughing problem.
We highly recommend this magical diagnostician Dr. Shapiro to anyone, we were extremely happy with his knowledge and service far beyond any other vet.

I have been a customer for over 15 years and very satisfied with service. Always feel the doctor takes time and care with my dog. Dr.Shapiro and Natasha treat my dog and myself like family.Dr. Shapiro is knowledgeable and professional expert in his field. His sharp diagnostic skills save life of my fog multiple times. Dr Shapiro is a phenomenal vet. He has been looking after my dogs, who are now 11 and 13 years old, for years. The office is always clean, the staff is amazingly courteous and go out of their way to ensure all my dogs' needs are met. When one of my dogs became very ill, Dr Shapiro went above and beyond with his knowledge and expertise to save his life. His attention to detail was impeccable and he personally called, after business hours and on weekends, to ensure my fury friend was getting better. I would never go to another vet. I highly recommend him.

Everytime there was a concern with the health of one of my pets, the doc was spot on, right away, about the underlying issue. Never in a panic mode, always calm and collected. During emergencies in off hours, my calls were returned very quicklyPrices are very reasonable and atmosphere is "good". Yes, once in a while you have to hold your pet while the doc administers a shot, if doc's assistant isn't there. But who better to hold your pet than you?Try for comparison to go to one of the bigger pet clinics.. OMG, feels like a well run financial organization first and foremost.

If i could give this clinic a rating of negative negative & negative stars I would. Dr Shapiro is an awful human being. He does not care about being a vet and only cares about making money. I brought my dog here when he was sick and Dr Shaprio basically told me my dog is going to die..um excuse me? He said yeah..he'll probably die..those were his exact words. Obviously I broke down and he said he needed to keep him for the night because he was loosing blood. My dog at the time was a healthy 5 year old and had no problems whatsoever. He kept him overnight and when I went to go get him in the morning he was groggy and looked like noone had even taken him out to the bathroom. Thank god he ended up being total fine and just needed some antibiotics but what I want to know is what kind of doctor tells you oh..by the way..your dog will probably die! The only reason I brought my dog here was because my parents brought their cat their for years and I don't know why they said he wasn't that good but I think they were just used to him. I've never seen anyone at the clinic and there's no nurse just Dr. Shaprio. I've never met a vet that doesn't like animals and he is one of them. He doesn't even pet the dogs and cats or give them any attention like most vets do. He is an evil person and an awful vet..stay away!!!

I am surprised people keep taking their pets here. Why? I guess it's because the prices are reasonable compared to large/full service animal hospitals, but it's not worth compromising your pets health over. I brought in my cat for a simple yearly check-up and vaccinations. He doesn't handle going to vet well, and he has to be sedated. When I brought him in, there were no assistants around. I was expected to "assist", even though I explained my fear of needles (not to mention my lack of qualifications). The "sedative" given to my cat caused a sort of paralysis; he fell to the floor (luckily was not injured from the fall of the examination table); he was then partially paralyzed for nearly two days. He was clearly in pain, and could barely move. Whatever was given to my cat was clearly not an appropriate "sedative". The next year, I took him to the Wheeling Animal Hospital. The cat still had to be sedated during the exam, but he was awake within minutes and back to his old self with no negative side effects. Do not bring your pet here. There are much better animal hospitals in the area.

Dr. Shapiro, he is a great Doctor. He has been taken care of my Ari since he was a puppy. Every advise he has given us has been right for
Ari's health. There were some health issues and his diagnosis and his care was just perfect. My dog is part of my family and I wouldn't trust anybody else. I highly trust and recommend Dr. Shapiro.

I can't say enough how pleased I am with Dr. V.Shapiro. When it comes to your pet being in trouble - you just panic! To have a veterinarian who you trust and rely on is extremely important! Over time He had been treating my cat and two dogs. Today I made a call after hours... my dog had the bites wounds. After talking to him on provided for the emergency number, This Doctor made a special trip back to his clinic, just to make sure that my dog was ok. I am amazed how caring and come he had been - it made me right away less worried. It's not a large clinic, but has up-today technology, reasonable prices, knowledgeable vet and personable service I highly recommend!

My elderly cat started peeing blood so we took her here. Dr. Shapiro and Natalia are really good, caring people. The costs are very reasonable and I felt that they were very practical with their advice for my kitty and did not order any excessive tests or recommend expensive procedures that ultimately would not have helped her. Unfortunately, unlike another reviewer, they were not able to save her from her advanced kidney disease. I do, however, appreciate how well they cared for her in her last few days. When my other cat started throwing up blood, I took her here as well, and she is doing much better. Additionally, I feel that they are very available. They answer the phone reliably, and are often able to make appointments the day of, which I very much appreciated as my kitty's health debilitated quickly and without much warning.

Dr. Shapiro is an amazing veterinarian. Our family originally went to Blue Pearl and we were told our cat was going to die due to kidney failure, which they told us might not even work. We were also offered an option to put her to sleep. Our kitty had a death sentence, as we couldn't afford to help her out. We went to Dr. Shapiro with almost no hope. The receptionist at the front, Natalia, was extremely polite, nice and cared for our dear cat, Gracey, as if she was her own. After a brief examination, Dr. Shapiro told us our cat had a chance of recovery, He ended up saving our nice kitty. It has been a month since the procedure and she is back to her normal, sassy self. Thank you Dr. Shapiro, you have been truly amazing!

We have this amazing cat, that suddenly started pulling his hair out from both sides of his back. I consulted with a veterinarian whom consulted with a few other veterinarians from another animal hospital, not one of them had any type of a decent diagnosis.
Then a miracle happened, my friend gave me the phone number of this magical diagnostician Dr. Shapiro, our problem was solved immediately.
On another visit he diagnosed and treated our cats coughing problem.
We highly recommend this magical diagnostician Dr. Shapiro to anyone, we were extremely happy with his knowledge and service far beyond any other vet.

I have been a customer for over 15 years and very satisfied with service. Always feel the doctor takes time and care with my dog. Dr.Shapiro and Natasha treat my dog and myself like family.Dr. Shapiro is knowledgeable and professional expert in his field. His sharp diagnostic skills save life of my fog multiple times. Dr Shapiro is a phenomenal vet. He has been looking after my dogs, who are now 11 and 13 years old, for years. The office is always clean, the staff is amazingly courteous and go out of their way to ensure all my dogs' needs are met. When one of my dogs became very ill, Dr Shapiro went above and beyond with his knowledge and expertise to save his life. His attention to detail was impeccable and he personally called, after business hours and on weekends, to ensure my fury friend was getting better. I would never go to another vet. I highly recommend him.

Everytime there was a concern with the health of one of my pets, the doc was spot on, right away, about the underlying issue. Never in a panic mode, always calm and collected. During emergencies in off hours, my calls were returned very quicklyPrices are very reasonable and atmosphere is "good". Yes, once in a while you have to hold your pet while the doc administers a shot, if doc's assistant isn't there. But who better to hold your pet than you?Try for comparison to go to one of the bigger pet clinics.. OMG, feels like a well run financial organization first and foremost.

I brought my dog here when he was sick and Dr Shaprio basically told me my dog is going to die..um excuse me? He said yeah..he'll probably die..those were his exact words. Obviously I broke down and he said he needed to keep him for the night because he was loosing blood. My dog at the time was a healthy 5 year old and had no problems whatsoever. He kept him overnight and when I went to go get him in the morning he was groggy and looked like noone had even taken him out to the bathroom. Thank god he ended up being total fine and just needed some antibiotics but what I want to know is what kind of doctor tells you oh..by the way..your dog will probably die! The only reason I brought my dog here was because my parents brought their cat their for years and I don't know why they said he wasn't that good but I think they were just used to him. I've never seen anyone at the clinic and there's no nurse just Dr. Shaprio. I've never met a vet that doesn't like animals and he is one of them. He doesn't even pet the dogs and cats or give them any attention like most vets do. He is an evil person and an awful vet..stay away!!!

I am surprised people keep taking their pets here. Why? I guess it's because the prices are reasonable compared to large/full service animal hospitals, but it's not worth compromising your pets health over. I brought in my cat for a simple yearly check-up and vaccinations. He doesn't handle going to vet well, and he has to be sedated. When I brought him in, there were no assistants around. I was expected to "assist", even though I explained my fear of needles (not to mention my lack of qualifications). The "sedative" given to my cat caused a sort of paralysis; he fell to the floor (luckily was not injured from the fall of the examination table); he was then partially paralyzed for nearly two days. He was clearly in pain, and could barely move. Whatever was given to my cat was clearly not an appropriate "sedative". The next year, I took him to the Wheeling Animal Hospital. The cat still had to be sedated during the exam, but he was awake within minutes and back to his old self with no negative side effects. Do not bring your pet here. There are much better animal hospitals in the area.
