American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited Veterinary Medicine, Surgery, and Dentistry. Serving the medical needs of pets and the veterinary community in Northeast Lake County, IL and Southeast Kenosha County, WI since 1988. We understand and value that special bond between pets and their families. We are proud to maintain a full on-site medical laboratory with blood count and chemistry values available for immediate urgent care, a dental suite with one of the few digital radiology units dedicated for animal oral procedures in Lake County, and complete Surgical and Radiology Suites providing the best possible medical care for dogs and cats of all ages. Our on-site Ultrasound imaging compliments X-Ray views to dramatically improve our diagnostic capabilities. Ultrasound allows us to provide ultrasound guided biopsies when necessary, allowing patients to go home sooner, often the same day. Most of our dedicated and compassionate team members have an average of over 15 years of veterinary medical experience, despite their youthful appearance!

You only get one chance to make a first impression. You guys have made a lasting impression on my wife and I.
After 13-years of horrific experiences with our last pet, and five different vets, my wife and I agonized over finding a good vet for our new puppy. We were extremely impressed with the quality of care and hospitality we received by Dr. Bartlett and all of the staff members we came in contact with on our first and second appointment at Harbor Animal Hospital.
You guys are awesome! We hope this is the beginning of a long-term relationship and that we will never need to search for another vet again.

I had selected for my Cats was too far away. Getting a closer vet just made sense. After doing a lot of reading on reviews, I selected this place. My cat was very sick and had just been to the ER vet three times, but wasn’t showing any signs of improvement. I called Friday and got in Friday. They were wonderful! The entire team! My cat got home and after not eating for a day and throwing up what he ate the day before, he went to his food dish ate a meal and kept it down! The next day he ate even more. His ibd can kill him so the right treatment is critical. I am very pleased. They are my cats new vet.

I LOVE Harbor! After switching vets twice, we finally found you guys! Our cat, Bob, suffers from constipation issues and had a broken tail. No matter how many times we insisted on an x-ray, his previous vets just wouldn't do it. Eventually Bob's constipation got so bad, he was vomiting and not eating. I had read great reviews about these guys so gave them a shot. I'm so glad we did! They did an x-ray to see how constipated he was (bad, you had to anesthetize him to clear it o...ut) and we finally got to see the extent of his broken tail. A few weeks ago, his tail started causing him pain and he was ripping out his hair, so we opted to have it amputated. From the techs to the desk staff to Dr Bartlett, you all were amazing and so supportive. As a mom of a toddler, it's always hard to wrangle a cat carrier and my daughter. The staff always goes the extra mile to help me out to my car with my load lol. I love you guys! Thank you so much for making Bob comfortable again. He's back to his old crazy self! I recommend you to everyone! See More

The care & compassion exhibited when I had pets requiring terminal care was wonderful and greatly appreciated. The doctors really care and seek out all avenues in order to assist my pets. I have been going to the Harbor Animal Clinic for 40 years. I have always been treated well. Dr. Bartlett and the rest of the staff always had compassion. Unfortunately, over the 40 years we've had several animals pass... One bit of knowledge he installed in me, he said it's lucky that we can put an animal down and it's too bad that people have to suffer. That help me put my pets suffering into perspective. Overall, I've had a great experience with Harbor Animal Hospital throughout the years. I can't name any one of the staff as my favorite because they've all been good. I can also say that most of the staff has been there for a long time which is a sign they are doing things right. The only thing I can say is I miss not seeing Dr. Bartlett every time I go, but that's a sign that his staff is so good, he doesn't need to be there I think that's great. I do miss him and his sense of humor though.

Years ago I would have given them s higher rating. I have taken 3 of my dogs here through the years. My current dog needed surgery and they wouldn't do it. What made matters worse is that when my dog split a stitch, they would NOT help, because they didn't do the surgery. We are much happier at Beach Park Animal Hospital.

I switched to Harbor Animal Hospital when Dr. Kelly joined the team. We love her and wanted to stick with her when she moved. We've not regretted our switch at all! Michelle, Kim and all the others who work at the front desk are amazing, and they always remember me and my pets. I've worked with all of the Drs, and they've all given my animals their full attention and care. We have several special needs pets, so this has been very meaningful to us.
I never feel like I am overcharged, or that anyone forces medication or subscription diets on me. This is a great little animal hospital - I'd encourage you to check them out!

I have nothing but praise for the staff & doctors at Harbor Animal Hospital. They always go above & beyond to meet my pet's needs in good times & sad times. The care & compassion exhibited when I had pets requiring terminal care was wonderful and greatly appreciated. The doctors really care and seek out all avenues in order to assist my pets. I highly recommend Harbor Animal Hospital. I'll never go anywhere else for my pet's care.

I have been going to the Harbor Animal Clinic for 40 years. I have always been treated well. Dr. Bartlett and the rest of the staff always had compassion. Unfortunately, over the 40 years we've had several animals pass... One bit of knowledge he installed in me, he said it's lucky that we can put an animal down and it's too bad that people have to suffer. That help me put my pets suffering into perspective. Overall, I've had a great experience with Harbor Animal Hospital throughout the years. I can't name any one of the staff as my favorite because they've all been good. I can also say that most of the staff has been there for a long time which is a sign they are doing things right. The only thing I can say is I miss not seeing Dr. Bartlett every time I go, but that's a sign that his staff is so good, he doesn't need to be there I think that's great. I do miss him and his sense of humor though.

Years ago I would have given them s higher rating. I have taken 3 of my dogs here through the years. My current dog needed surgery and they wouldn't do it. What made matters worse is that when my dog split a stitch, they would NOT help, because they didn't do the surgery. We are much happier at Beach Park Animal Hospital.

I switched to Harbor Animal Hospital when Dr. Kelly joined the team. We love her and wanted to stick with her when she moved. We've not regretted our switch at all! Michelle, Kim and all the others who work at the front desk are amazing, and they always remember me and my pets. I've worked with all of the Drs, and they've all given my animals their full attention and care. We have several special needs pets, so this has been very meaningful to us.
I never feel like I am overcharged, or that anyone forces medication or subscription diets on me. This is a great little animal hospital - I'd encourage you to check them out!

Absolutely wonderful staff and a great environment for animals coming in and out. They have been a wonderful find since we've moved out here from the West Coast.
