Clearly Laura's review is a total lie. I have been going here for years and they cured one of my dogs of cancer. 2 and 3 year rabies shots are also very common and none have been pulled for causing cancer. Laura is obviously distraught and looking for someone to blame , trolling or a complete sociopath. Don't let her mental health problems scare you away from the best vet clinic in the area. Read Less

I adored Dr Leahy but she talked me into getting my wonderful dog Sophie a 2 year rabies vaccine and I did not want it but she kept insisting. I had to bring the dog in next year for her shots so why is she pushing the 2 year rabies. 1 Month later I brought my golden retriever in and she didnt say anything about the 2 year rabies vaccine. I asked her why and she told me it was pulled off of the market and I asked her why. She said she didnt know. I found that hard to believe. I hurried to the laptop when I got home and it turns out the 2 year rabies vaccine had a fatal flaw it overstimulates the dogs immune system causing inoperable cancer. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVED that dog! Sophie died after a year of trying to treat the cancer she developed in her SPLEEN. I would have paid anything to have her alive and well. I would have sold my house my home. This is a horrible cancer and when she stopped eating and was suffering so much we had to put her to sleep. I never got an apology and I never got over my dog Sophie. She carry her leash in her mouth while I rode my bike and never left my side. Ever Du Page cops would laugh at how cute she was to carry her leash and everyone loved her. I have only met 1 other person who had the 2 year rabies vaccine and had the same result. I would be able to forgive had she just said I have to tell you what happened with 2 year vaccine and I am so sorry for what I caused your beautiful, loving best friend to go through. But I never even got an apology or a warning on what that shot does to dogs. The 3 year vaccine ironically didnt cause this problem in my friends who get it for their dogs. I however will never take that chance that I didnt even know I was taking. I would never get a multiple year vaccine again. They have to go in for distemper and all the other things anyway. Why did you do this to Sophie and me Dr Leahy, I trusted you with my most precious friend in the world and I cant replace her like you cant replace a child.I still cry and I still miss her everyday. We have taken our pets here for years. Miria, Kira, Krystal, Leela, Maya and Abby. So we have been coming here for over 27 years.  Dr Lage has always been honest and very helpful when it comes to caring for our girls. We have gone through many things wiht out pets over the years and the care has always been outstanding and the prices so much more reasonable than some of the other clinic and hospitals.When Dr Heigal was there , she was so good to my Leela and Maya. Now Maya is the one that has all the health problems and Dr Kopia ( Spelling is wrong, sorry) and Dr Lage is really helping me stay on top of all of her issues. Read Less

I'm so pleased to have found Hobson Vet Clinic. They are kind and informative about what they are doing and why. They make sure I understand how to administer the medicines and what to watch for so I know my animal is getting better. Prices are good and they never try to push the most expensive treatment first but will try less expensive treatments and tell you what to watch for to make sure the treatment is working. They've even called to check up on my pet. The clinic is clean and I never have to wait long. I've taken my cats here for many years and have recommended them to friends. Read Less

The negative reviews on this place are scary, and I hope I never have to encounter these. My experience so far has been great. I recently switched to Hobson Valley from VCA since it's closer and after some research, less expensive. Not just less expensive. Yearly vaccines for my dog cost half the price as the VCA, and the VCA prices were already half-off. That's 75% less expensive. I only have myself to blame for not shopping around earlier, but I won't be going back to VCA for vaccines again. The vet was so great with my dog, got down on the floor with her and gave her a pretty thorough exam. He administered the vaccines and gave her a clean bill of health. It's great to know we have a clinic so close, and I'm looking forward to future visits here! Read Less

The doctors and staff at Hobson Valley Animal Clinic are friendly and wonderful with the animals. They are excellent with diagnosing problems and providing treatment. My one cat had a kidney problem when she was only one year old. She needed to be there for four days and I was able to stop by after work each day to spend time with her and see how she was doing. They gave her excellent care and she has been healthy ever since. That was eleven years ago and I continue bringing my cats to them because I know they are receiving the best care possible.Read Less
