Nursing staff is friendly and nice but that does not out weigh the importance of animal care. They are fine for dogs and cats but I would urge any one to go somewhere else to a more experience vet for other types of animals. I've had all 3 veterinarians see my dog Mimi. They are attentive, give sound advise & care. Mimi has had tummy problems since birth. With the doctor's guidance, Mimi is doing much better. If she has a bad day the medicine she was given relieves her quickly. Everyone is helpful including all office staff. Mimi went to obedience class at the vet and is doing much better ( she is a very independent, head strong girl). I confidently recommend Auburn Hills. Read Less

I have taken my animals here for 15 years. I had to put my elderly cat down a few months ago and it broke my heart. I still cry about it. The staff was so good to me. They sent me a card with condolences a few weeks afterward and it made me feel a little bit better. Read Less

I used to love going to this place. There were a few things here and there that bothered me. But I overlooked it, because no place is perfect. But finally, I have reached my linit with this place. Over the last year I had made arrangements for my elderly dog, her end of life services. Between arthritis and cancer, I knew the day would come. But she was terrified of the vets office. So I made arrangements with AHAH to see her outside. But when the day came, they took back everything they had agreed to do. Keep in mind I had confirmed the plan several times over the last year and once a few fays prior. I refused to let my dogs last moments on this earth to be terrified and scared. AHAH has lost my business from here on out. They may be good vets, medically speaking, but they are severely lacking in the compassionate care department. Read Less

My dog wasn’t feeling well and the staff was very kind by fitting me in last minute to their schedule. They did an X-Ray and found a very large tumor. They put her at the top of the list for surgery and they took wonderful care of her. The doctor was able to remove an 8pound tumor with success. They gave her fluids through an IV to keep her hydrated and after surgery washed her blanket so that it would be clean for an overnight stay. The staff has an obvious love for animals, I trust and would recommend them to anyone searching for a vet. Always Happy with our visits! Read Less

Thanks to all the staff and Dr. Tom for saving my daughter's cat, Cairo, who went in there with pneumonia and couldn't breathe very good. They did such a great job and saved his life. That cat was my daughter's soulmate, after losing her loving cocker spaniel 11 years ago, while pregnant with her daughter, to cancer and having to let her go. Tough time in her life and she felt that Cairo was another soulmate, so I thank you all so much for helping her out. You guys are super and I would recommend anyone to come see you for a sick pet. My 2 yr old chihuahua/Pekingese got very sick & seized for over 2 days, was in the vet for almost a week. The vets there are amazing & so knowledgeable, the techs cuddled my baby the times I couldn't be there & gave such love and comfort to her & to my family & I.. when she started to eat through a syringe they gave up their breakroom so we could sit and feed her & 1 tech (Kim) even shared her yogurt. They're all around amazing people. I've taken my animals there for years & always trusted them but after this I have an all new respect & love for this group of people! Read Less

My 6yr old cat had been very sick for over 1wk. He had been to 2 different vets before calling Auburn Hills. The lady was very friendly on the phone and told me to come in right away. Needless to say the vet was very thorough, professional and could have possibly saved my cats life if I would have went to him in the first place. There was a string embedded under my cats tongue 2 vets had missed. It was a week later by then his bowels were in knots and torn from this approx 3ft. long string. After loosing my beloved fur baby a year ago because of an (auburn) vet I have not had my animals back since. My cat hurt herself and was crying in pain so I knew I had to trust again and have her seen. Had multiple friends suggest auburn hills so with great hesitation I had no choice if I wanted my poor baby out of pain. Other then the lack of eye contact when speaking to me about the options for my cat I felt better after the apointment was done. She started turning around within a couple hrs and tried walking again. I found a baby kitten outside during the first real snow fall two Sunday's ago. She was hungry and sick, I had her here seeing the vet almost everyday since then. I became the kittens foster through the shelter allowing the vet to treat her without charging me. I can't emphasis enough how patient and caring the staff was. We love the staff at this office, they are very informative and not in a hurry to do expensive surgeries, they proved that to me when I brought my @[10153367461364389:Lucky] in the office and when they found out his bladder was full of stones and instead of pushing for the surgery to fix his bladder they thought it was better to check his kidneys first, and when we found out his kidneys were failing, they treated him and us as a family and were concerned for all of us and his suffering....
