Never will go again. The staff seemed to love animals but the doctor took less than 30 seconds to exam my poor sick kitty. It's been 3 days since I took him there and he is now worse than when I originally took him. Definitely will not go back. Update..drove an hour to take my sick cat to the vet we used for years with wonderful success. When she examined him and I told her what the vet from the Avon hospital said was wrong with him, she was less than happy. A complete misdiagnosis. Because of the misdiagnosis my cat had to stay at our original vet hospital for 4 days. He's home now, but just be aware that just because someone seems to love your fur baby doesn't mean they know how to give them the correct medical care. Read Less

We had the best experience here! I will definitely use this hospital for all of my pets health needs. The staff was AMAZING!!!!! Very friendly. Even brought Murphy (my cockapoo puppy) a chew to work on while we waited. He was very loved by all of the nurses. Dr. Nancy Fox was very informative and really took the time to talk with me about my puppy's health. She was willing to take her time with me and answer all of my questions. Price was very reasonable!!! I got the impression that they are only there for the pets best interest and not concerned about making an extra dollar. Rocky was having issues since he lost his sight. then the Vets and the staff worked hard to get him over his last illness, but no treatment worked. They made it easier for me to make the hard decision to let him go, but knowing that they tried everything possible and they are the nicest people, it was a lot easier to do. Read Less

Upon moving to the Avon area, my wife and I knew we would need to find a good vet (we have two cats and a dog). We decided to check out Animal Hospital of Avon since it's very close to our house and one of my wife's co-workers recommended it. Our first visit was nothing special - they did their jobs well and charged a reasonable price. But then, between all of our pets' check-ups, minor issues, and other vet needs we seemed to be going fairly often for a few months, and always on a Wednesday. It didn't take long for us to get to know the staff that regularly works then and for them to know us too. Soon we would show up with one pet and all his "aunties" would be all over him, offering him treats and cuddled and asking us about the other pets. We really love the staff. They do a great job and I highly recommend them - just go on a Wednesday if you can! Read Less

So I was looking for a vet in the area and just showed up in a few places to see how these ppl are with my furry babies, Animal Hospital of Avon was the ONLY place that didn't ignore me, wasn't rude to me and acknowledged me when I walked in. The Staff was wonderful and very helpful with my questions. They even let me take a view of the place. Even though it was a smaller place all these girls have big hearts! The vets make you feel bad if you do not get every optional test for checkups. They also get mad if you do not buy medicine from them. They have even taken measures to make your purchase of medicine from online sources as difficult as possible. They are probably the least friendly, most unhelpful vet I have ever been to. Horrible, horrible, horrible! This is the worst vet office I have ever visited. The staff is extremely rude, unfriendly, and will try to talk you into buying products your pets don't need. I would never trust these people to care for my pets. Animal Hospital of Avon is terrible on so many levels! I give this place zero stars my dog went in for a routine visit to have teeth cleaned and nails trimmed he was perfectly fine when we took him in bloodwork came back negative for anything and it just seemed like he never fully recovered from them putting him out for it, I took him in because he looked really bad they took blood from him and I was told I would be called first thing Monday morning and didn't hear from them till late that night and they told me he had liver disease and gave me a bunch of medicine to give him.
