I came in as a new patient last week: I was heading out of town for the week the following day and had 1000 things to do before my PM work shift, followed by my 2am flight. I had not enough time, including dropping off my bulldog at The Range, as Companion Animal Hospital was our normal vet. After a stressful drop off and farewell to my toddler, I got to The Range and was told that my dog wasn't updated on his shots (my mistake) and they wouldn't take him until I had that taken care of. With no time to spare and on the verge of a break down, I attempted to take him to Companion to get those vaccines shot in and on our way. Another road block: they said I'd have to wait in the waiting room for a good while before they could take me. I had no choice but to call around for anything else available. I called one vet, unavailable. Then Google gave me The Cottage. I called and was refreshed by an empathetic receptionist that told me to come on in; they could take us right now. Maybe 2 minutes later, my exhausted dog and I rushed in and they took care of us immediately--no wait. I was a mess, but the tech was so calm and soothing. I think her name was Amanda. She was great, as was the vet that came in promptly after, whom I believe was Dr. Lesh. Companion was having a hard time faxing his files and I wasn't sure exactly which shots he needed off the top of my head. Furthermore, my method of payment wasn't with me, so I only had manual cc entry as an option. Thankfully, the great staff at The Cottage worked with me and kept things simple. Plus, they only charged me for the medical services; they didn't charge me for my doctor visit. In conclusion, this place is great. I realize that I got lucky that they had the availability to take in this hot mess off the street, but it was the hospitality that I was shown that is extremely important. Thanks guys! Read Less
