I've been bringing out dog to Hazel Dell Animal Hospital for 4 years and I have always appreciated the care and attention they give to my dog and her medical history. All of the staff members are cheerful and attentive to your needs. Before the vet enters the exam room she has already reviewed the medical history and the brief I've given the vet tech in order to provide input to the examination and help give a more accurate diagnosis and treatment. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

After only one visit here, I already know I've found a great vet clinic for my fur baby. I didn't feel rushed, they seemed to really care about the service they provided, and gave my little guy lots of attention. I also received a thank-you note, hand signed by the staff...that's a first for any vet I've ever been to. I also didn't feel like they were "up-selling" any products in order for me to spend more money. They seemed to recommend only what was really needed and didn't overcharge. Definitely will recommend Hazel Dell!

She passed away in her sleep at home. This experience was overwhelming and Cindy helped our family to get through this ordeal. She provided me referrals to two great companies that would help us. Awful. They nickel and dime you every way they can, doing unnecessary tests and procedures and scaring you into thinking you need them done and immediately. If you call in tears and they schedule you for an "urgent" visit, they will still make you wait 45 minutes and see another patient first while you are sweating and worrying that your pet is dying. And terrible communication by staff overall. Go elsewhere and get the personal attention you and your pet deserve.

HDAH has been amazing!!! Just recently had to rush my senior dog for an unscheduled urgent appointment. Dee Ann up front did a great job squeezing us in on a busy Saturday morning as she could tell my dog was in need. The detail of the exam and ruling out all possible options made me feel so much better for an older dog where it really could be just about anything. They do a terrific job of detailing out instructions and responding to questions for treatment. Then the follow up is very sincere and focused on the animal! Everyone I have had the pleasure of interacting with has been as genuine as can be and truely love the "patients!"
Hazel Dell Animal Hospital is the only place I recommend to anyone and I trust them with EVERYTHING!

I have nothing but good things to say about this practice. Dr Greg McDaniel has been the best vet for my two cats and dog. He has gone above and beyond in the treatment of my dog that you can tell he really cares. The staff is also great. Always treated with respect. I've been going here for over 15 years and wouldn't trust anyone else with my pets care. He also will go into detail and spend as much time with you to make sure you understand your options and never tries to push you into expensive treatments unless he really feels it will help. He wants you to be informed so you can make the best decision that makes sense for you and your pet. I just can't say enough nice things about this place.

I would give them more stars, if I could! Hazel Dell Animal Hospital is, in my opinion, a wonderful veterinary hospital!
I have read all of the reviews posted and can honestly say that in the 12+ years they have been my pets' vet, I have never had a negative (or even neutral) experience. They care for our 12 year old dog (since we got him), very sensitively handled the illness and subsequent euthanasia of a young kitten (including sending a sympathy card), care for our 2 cats and are now caring for the newest addition to our pet family -- a puppy.
The staff, vet techs and nurses, and vets are warm, friendly and welcoming, as well as being helpful on the telephone and in person.
I originally went to them because they were very close to my home. About 8 years ago I moved into Indianapolis, so they are no longer "conveniently" located for me. While there is a well known veterinary hospital within a mile of our home, I continue to drive to Hazel Dell Animal Hospital -- I like and trust them and would not entrust the care of my precious pets to anyone else.

We LOVE Hazel Dell!!! We always look forward to taking our fur babies to the vet because we know we are going to be greeted with a smile from the time we walk in until the time we leave! Dr Basset and Dr McDaniel spend time with you during your visit and explain things very well! I know when I have to leave my babies there for a long appt or something that Dee Ann will give me updates happily when I call and love on my babies for me! I honestly would not take my dogs anywhere else! This place is top notch from the front desk staff to the Dr's themselves!!!!

This is by far the best vet and office ever. The front desk staff is amazing and anytime I call, they know who I am, and our pets by name. Anytime we've had an urgent situation they've been able to get us in right away, even on Saturday's. They accommodate for my dog who is "other-dog-aggressive" as well. The appointment reminder cards have their photos, and usually they give our dog a bandana when he leaves. We had a very special needs rescue dog at one point, and after he passed away, they made a donation to Purdue In his honor and memory of him. Honestly I wish they could be my human doctor, truly they are THE BEST!

I have been taking my menagerie of furry children here for many years. Every member of their staff is kind, compassionate, and provide excellent care for your pet. As soon as you enter the facility you, as well as your pet, are greeted by name. You truly feel part of the family! Several years ago my dog was diagnosed with Addison's disease. Dr. Greg McDaniel diagnosed my dog quickly and effectively saving his life. He then provided us with an easy plan to help treat and care for his condition allowing him to return to his happy sassy dog self. I can't stress enough how important it is to find veterinary care you can trust and whom adore your pet as much as you do. This group of people really love what they do and most of them have been there forever. You can tell everyone is happy to be there which affects how your pet is treated and cared for. It's nice to always walk in and see the same familiar smiles each time you visit. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else!

These guys are just amazing! My dogs actually like going to visit. The girls working here are also GREAT!! They know your pet and his or her personality. It's such a comfortable environment. They listen to you and know just how to approach each pet. One of my favorite things about Hazel Dell Animal Hospital is that when you go to the vet there is rarely another animal in the lobby. If a animal is in the lobby when you arrive it's more then likely on its way out the door. I love that my dogs can go in there and visit for a few w/o other dogs making them excited or nervous. One of my dogs had a major surgery here, and when he came out it was like nothing happened. I trust Dr. McDaniel and Bassett 100%. The only possible con is the price. But you definitely get what you pay for!

Hazel Dell Animal Hospital is a wonderful environment for pets. The doctors, Dr. Bassett and Dr. McDaniel are outstanding doctors. I have seen their clinical work at Hazel Dell, as well as their clinical and hospital work at Northwood, the 24 hour animal hospital in Anderson. The vet techs. are amazing. They help make you and your loved one feel welcome. I cannot reccommend any better place to take your pet than Hazel Dell Animal Hospital.

Dr. Bassett and Dr. McDaniel are the best veterinarians you could possibly take your ""special family members"" to. I have seen them from a patient/client view as well as a seeing them in action when they worked at the local emergency hospital in Anderson, IN. These 2 docs truely care about their patients, and clients. They have excellent ""follow up"" skills, after the intitial assessment of any health related problems they may encounter with you pet. I trust them completely, and they are very experienced and up to date on current medical procedures. I wish them the best, and highly reccomed you give them a call if you are in the need of a good vererinarian.

After only one visit here, I already know I've found a great vet clinic for my fur baby. I didn't feel rushed, they seemed to really care about the service they provided, and gave my little guy lots of attention. I also received a thank-you note, hand signed by the staff...that's a first for any vet I've ever been to. I also didn't feel like they were "up-selling" any products in order for me to spend more money. They seemed to recommend only what was really needed and didn't overcharge. Definitely will recommend Hazel Dell!

She passed away in her sleep at home. This experience was overwhelming and Cindy helped our family to get through this ordeal. She provided me referrals to two great companies that would help us. Awful. They nickel and dime you every way they can, doing unnecessary tests and procedures and scaring you into thinking you need them done and immediately. If you call in tears and they schedule you for an "urgent" visit, they will still make you wait 45 minutes and see another patient first while you are sweating and worrying that your pet is dying. And terrible communication by staff overall. Go elsewhere and get the personal attention you and your pet deserve.

HDAH has been amazing!!! Just recently had to rush my senior dog for an unscheduled urgent appointment. Dee Ann up front did a great job squeezing us in on a busy Saturday morning as she could tell my dog was in need. The detail of the exam and ruling out all possible options made me feel so much better for an older dog where it really could be just about anything. They do a terrific job of detailing out instructions and responding to questions for treatment. Then the follow up is very sincere and focused on the animal! Everyone I have had the pleasure of interacting with has been as genuine as can be and truely love the "patients!"
Hazel Dell Animal Hospital is the only place I recommend to anyone and I trust them with EVERYTHING!

I have nothing but good things to say about this practice. Dr Greg McDaniel has been the best vet for my two cats and dog. He has gone above and beyond in the treatment of my dog that you can tell he really cares. The staff is also great. Always treated with respect. I've been going here for over 15 years and wouldn't trust anyone else with my pets care. He also will go into detail and spend as much time with you to make sure you understand your options and never tries to push you into expensive treatments unless he really feels it will help. He wants you to be informed so you can make the best decision that makes sense for you and your pet. I just can't say enough nice things about this place.

I would give them more stars, if I could! Hazel Dell Animal Hospital is, in my opinion, a wonderful veterinary hospital!
I have read all of the reviews posted and can honestly say that in the 12+ years they have been my pets' vet, I have never had a negative (or even neutral) experience. They care for our 12 year old dog (since we got him), very sensitively handled the illness and subsequent euthanasia of a young kitten (including sending a sympathy card), care for our 2 cats and are now caring for the newest addition to our pet family -- a puppy.
The staff, vet techs and nurses, and vets are warm, friendly and welcoming, as well as being helpful on the telephone and in person.
I originally went to them because they were very close to my home. About 8 years ago I moved into Indianapolis, so they are no longer "conveniently" located for me. While there is a well known veterinary hospital within a mile of our home, I continue to drive to Hazel Dell Animal Hospital -- I like and trust them and would not entrust the care of my precious pets to anyone else.

We LOVE Hazel Dell!!! We always look forward to taking our fur babies to the vet because we know we are going to be greeted with a smile from the time we walk in until the time we leave! Dr Basset and Dr McDaniel spend time with you during your visit and explain things very well! I know when I have to leave my babies there for a long appt or something that Dee Ann will give me updates happily when I call and love on my babies for me! I honestly would not take my dogs anywhere else! This place is top notch from the front desk staff to the Dr's themselves!!!!

This is by far the best vet and office ever. The front desk staff is amazing and anytime I call, they know who I am, and our pets by name. Anytime we've had an urgent situation they've been able to get us in right away, even on Saturday's. They accommodate for my dog who is "other-dog-aggressive" as well. The appointment reminder cards have their photos, and usually they give our dog a bandana when he leaves. We had a very special needs rescue dog at one point, and after he passed away, they made a donation to Purdue In his honor and memory of him. Honestly I wish they could be my human doctor, truly they are THE BEST!

Dr. McDaniel is so kind and gentle with my cats. I love that separate cat area. They contacted me ahead of time with ways of keeping my male cat calm prior to coming in for a visit. I have been taking my menagerie of furry children here for many years. Every member of their staff is kind, compassionate, and provide excellent care for your pet. As soon as you enter the facility you, as well as your pet, are greeted by name. You truly feel part of the family! Several years ago my dog was diagnosed with Addison's disease. Dr. Greg McDaniel diagnosed my dog quickly and effectively saving his life. He then provided us with an easy plan to help treat and care for his condition allowing him to return to his happy sassy dog self. I can't stress enough how important it is to find veterinary care you can trust and whom adore your pet as much as you do. This group of people really love what they do and most of them have been there forever. You can tell everyone is happy to be there which affects how your pet is treated and cared for. It's nice to always walk in and see the same familiar smiles each time you visit. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else!

These guys are just amazing! My dogs actually like going to visit. The girls working here are also GREAT!! They know your pet and his or her personality. It's such a comfortable environment. They listen to you and know just how to approach each pet. One of my favorite things about Hazel Dell Animal Hospital is that when you go to the vet there is rarely another animal in the lobby. If a animal is in the lobby when you arrive it's more then likely on its way out the door. I love that my dogs can go in there and visit for a few w/o other dogs making them excited or nervous. One of my dogs had a major surgery here, and when he came out it was like nothing happened. I trust Dr. McDaniel and Bassett 100%. The only possible con is the price. But you definitely get what you pay for!

Hazel Dell Animal Hospital is a wonderful environment for pets. The doctors, Dr. Bassett and Dr. McDaniel are outstanding doctors. I have seen their clinical work at Hazel Dell, as well as their clinical and hospital work at Northwood, the 24 hour animal hospital in Anderson. The vet techs. are amazing. They help make you and your loved one feel welcome. I cannot reccommend any better place to take your pet than Hazel Dell Animal Hospital.

Dr. Bassett and Dr. McDaniel are the best veterinarians you could possibly take your ""special family members"" to. I have seen them from a patient/client view as well as a seeing them in action when they worked at the local emergency hospital in Anderson, IN. These 2 docs truely care about their patients, and clients. They have excellent ""follow up"" skills, after the intitial assessment of any health related problems they may encounter with you pet. I trust them completely, and they are very experienced and up to date on current medical procedures. I wish them the best, and highly reccomed you give them a call if you are in the need of a good vererinarian.
