Amicable, organized and very educated staff and vets. They are well versed in their field as well as extremely empathetic to the animals/owners. I have always taken my animals to "DR BAKERS" , as well as my parents, grandparents and (overall) extended family and friends. (canine, feline, rodent and even at one time equine/bovine) Not only have we taken our animals here for checkups, vaccinations, spay/neuter and even euthanasia. Dr. Frazier also worked with us when one of our animals had seizures, exhausting all options for the animals care as well as taking our financial situation into consideration. Our newest addition to the family survived parvo. Due to the immediate attention, direction and guidance of the staff she is well and thriving. The team of doctors have both an individual and unified approach to the animal and well being/care. They are open to building a care plan based on your desires and financial ability. My wife and I are very pleased with the dedication and service of this establishment!!! We would recommend Chesterfield Animal Hospital to any pet owner. I highly suggest this establishment. I went in to make an appointment for my cat. Two girls were sitting at the desk. The first girl on my left was assisting me and the heaver set dark haired girl on the right kept looking over at me with a strange look and interrupted the girl that was helping me. I had stated that I would like to bring her in the morning of the surgery and would be out of town for 2 days and would like to board my cat there. The girl that was helping me said that would be all right and it would be $20.00 per night. The girl on the right looked at me and said we don't board animals and then said the cost would be $50.00 per night. After thinking of this the next day I canceled my appointment. No due to the cost, due to the unprofessional uncalled for attitude. Read Less

I will no longer recommend and being using this facility. I brought my one of a kind Piper (dog) there after she got sick 4 days into moving to a new home. I told them I thought it was prarvo. She showed all the signs. I was talked out of a parvo test she said she swallowed something but wasn't sure. Didn't offer to take a xray. Gave her a nausea shot and antibiotics then sent me home. Less than 24 hours later My Dog died on the way to emergency clinic. I am beyond disappointed with the physician and lack of help I received. Which in the end condemned my family member to death. She was brought in there 8/18/16 so if anyone who has been in there with there loved one and they aren't up to date on there shots please keep a eye on them. Read Less

After using them for 15yrs I will not use them again. Doctor Rodger told us our dogs back did NOT require surgery only laser treatments. After doing this for over a month and them getting our money every other day, they asked what our thoughts were about surgery. So in 2 days we came up with the $4000 it would take for surgery. Then they tell us it progressed to far by now and we had to put him to sleep. He was only 6yrs old and if they would have done surgery from the start he would still be with us.... Read Less

Read Less

My great grandmother has taken her pets there since he was open. He has been very good with our pets and I wouldn't take mine anywhere else but to Dr. Baker. He has been a great vet to our pets and they have been well taken care of. My family knows him personally. He is just a great guy all the way around. I like all of the doctors and staff. They are efficient and very nice. They are always professional and sweet to the pets. I take my pets in there all the time and they love them. I love this place and I won't take any of my pets anywhere else unless he closes down. I hope that won't happen for a very long time.

Read Less
