I took my senior Yorkie to this vet for the first time because she has some odd and scary symptoms (hard bloated belly and a persistent cough which has changed in both frequency and sound). When I walked in the exam room, the vet was busy reading something, standing at a table across the room. I don't know what he was reading, it wasn't the dog's vet records, we were new and her records hadn't been sent yet. It wasn't the entrance form because that is only one simple page of basic questions ( 4 second read). I explained and talked and he was silent multiple times because he was reading. He wasn't hearing me. He read whatever it was for the entire visit. He seemed angry and was very agitated that I was bothering him. He asked me a couple of questions and then when I tried to answer, he talked over the top of me, not letting me answer or explain. I had important things I wanted him to know but I couldn't get him to listen. The entire appt he never came to the table to touch her, look at her, feel her stomach. He never checked her ears, her paws...the only time he came to the exam table was to check her heart with the stethoscope. He was busy reading. I told him I want a heartworm test because she may have spit out her pill/I was a bit inconsistent, etc, We are at the river daily for walks, dog park etc and she has symptoms of HW from what I've read. He took bloodwork and a HW test and told me the results would be back in 24 - 48 hours. It has been 5 days - no results. I have called the office every single day. A HW test that is 5 days old is no good any longer - what if she was bit since then? She is on nothing for HW now bc we are waiting on the results. I can't put her on prevention without the test. And prevention doesn't kill the worms if she has them. The weekend is tomorrow so it will be 7 days by Monday. He also asked me which number to call because he said I have two numbers. I only have one number so that was odd and I wonder where he got that from? Was he looking at someone else's chart? I gave them $182.00 and all I got was a stethoscope on her heart. I've never seen a vet not check my dogs - I've owned dogs for 40 years. I didn't get what I paid for. I view this as an emergency because of my dog's symptoms and her age -and she isn't on HW prevention or meds bc we are out and I can't get any bc he won't give me the results. Also, when I made the appt originally, I had to call and reschedule. The guy answering the phone forgot to mark the calendar. I had a weird feeling and called the morning of the appt to confirm and he told me I missed my appt last week. I reminded him that he had rescheduled me and that I didn't miss. He "squeezed me in" that day (at the same time as my appt). This is the weirdest, most unprofessional doctor I have EVER encountered. It is scary that he is allowed to practice medicine. We are talking about lives here and he wants to read while I am in the room, not answer me, not listen to me, not look at my dog, not give me the blood work results I paid for. I asked the receptionist to call and check on the results at the lab. he isn't even going to do that. He insisted, "we WILL call you!" My dog could be dying but you want me to wait on you? He did Not give her a thorough exam but then charge me. Read Less

was really hoping this would be our new vet because the one we are used to is over an hour away since we moved. And this one is right down the road so it would have been very convenient. But sadly this place was extremely disappointing. This vet was very rude and disrespectful! Talked down to me and acted like I was an idiot and then tried to say that I was lying about my pets injury and that I didn't know what I was talking about. He was not the slightest but friendly or courteous at all and did absolutely nothing for my pet. I wasted $50 and I will not be taking another pet here! This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. The kid at the front desk was very friendly and kind. I really liked him. It seemed like it was going to go well. But when we got back to the vet and I was asking for advice and guidance he was useless! I am horribly disgusted by this place. I will be driving the hour to go back to our original vet! Read Less

I took my dog to this vet clinic when she was incredibly weak and dehydrated and the pink of her nose flared up bright red. They took a blood sample and asked if she had recently hit her head on anything because she was showing signs of a mental illness. After informing them that the dog was showing signs of being physically ill so obviously, that a blind man wouldn't have to touch her to see it. Then they wanted to charge me $200 for the blood sample only to keep advertising an animal MRI center in Lexington, KY that would be ten-fold the price. Went to another vet and it turns out she had parvo. Thanks a ton, jerks. My dog isn't mentally handicapped and I do take good care of her. Read Less

Took my momma cat in bc I was worried she had something wrong with her milk produce. Doc said she was fine she had a low fever. The next day had to take her to emergency vet to find out she had an infection and it was NOT safe to feed the kittens. We almost lost the kittens. And we almost lost our cat.
