Corydon Animal Hospital

Corydon, Indiana
General Info
Corydon Animal Hospital is in the hearts of local pet parents because of its approach to animal care. Corydon Animal Hospital, located in Corydon, Indiana, leverages the ongoing monitoring approach which tracks animal health across the state while focusing on seasonal and age-related wellness indicators. Veterinary appointments commence with extensive owner updates, which include any notable changes in the pet’s behavior, appetite, energy levels, sleep patterns, and environmental exposure. Every animal receives a detailed examination that looks at mouth health and checks weight, hydration, joint mobility, and vital signs. It is prudent to look at the previous records of visits for purposes of devising questions and prediction of future problems. Corydon Animal Hospital provides wellness visits, parasite testing, vaccinations, chronic care consultation, dental scaling, nutritional planning, and diagnostic labs. Healthcare scheduling for arthritis or dermatology check-ups and flea or tick prevention aligns with those seasonal medical threats. Plans are tailored to the pet's lifestyle and risk profile. Owners will also receive a physical packet summarizing the visit and gain access to digital logs for prescriptions, nutrition, tracking, and care milestones. Additionally, households with multiple pets or those with aging pets that struggle to move freely need not worry because the product offers excellent flexibility. Staggered rechecks, at-home monitoring logs and reminders for the next season as well as return plans. Corydon Animal Hospital helps pet owners learn how to turn wellness into an established habit. Corydon, IN and nearby areas also use another way of building confidence as the pet care routine grows with the pet. The practice offers a wide array of services including Vaccinations, Pain Management, Surgery, Laser Therapy, and Diagnostics. Through these procedures, veterinarians aid pets at every life stage, from routine wellness to advanced medical care. Pet owners value the team’s expertise and the way they communicate with compassion. They feel that the clinic respects them as pet parents because it can explain medical decisions and care in an easy-to-understand manner. Whether it is senior pet care or something urgent, the staff wants to form lasting bonds by being consistent and caring. It also assists owners in learning and implementing appropriate preventive health measures. Corydon Animal Hospital’s community involvement lays a firm foundation for pet ownership. New and returning clients emphasize the continuously evolving and modern approach of the clinic.

Dr. Pelphrey is absolutely amazing. We are new to Corydon and our dog Sally became extremely ill. Sally wound having severe pancretitis and had to stay for five days. She is a very nervous dog and does not like new environments, but I never saw Sally stressed or uncomfortable every day that my husband and I visited, which is saying a lot! It gave us so much comfort to know that Sally was being well taken care for in our absence. Sally was able to come home today and is already looking like her old self. My husband and I will only be in Corydon a short time, but we will definitely sing Dr. Pelphrey's praises long after we leave. Read Less

My regular vet was out of town when my dog cut her leg & needed immediate attention. Small cut but it nicked a vein so the blood loss was considerable. The folks at the  Corydon Animal  Hospital told me to bring her on in, they fit her into their schedule, and took excellent care of her. I really appreciated the kindness of the staff because I was a bit emotional when I came in - I'm not so great with blood & having to apply pressure to control the bleeding on a pet I love doesn't bring out the best in me. Great follow up as well.  Mabel required a splint for a week & 2 days after the initial visit I received a call from Dr. Pelphrey, wanting to know how she was doing & if I had any questions. I wish I could get that kind of care from my own doctor. Read Less
