I'm very upset that Dr. K. Herb gave my 7lb dog heartworm preventative meant for a 10-20 lb dog. When I returned to notify them the receptionist appologized for the mix up and gave me the correct dosage. But then I realized that the 12 month supply I was given was going to expire in 9months. So I returned again. This time the receptionist was short with me, making me feel like this was somehow MY fault. Dr K. Herb was at the front desk and didn't even issue an apology for her negligance in the matter. I am disappointed in the way they handled this situation. And I will not want my dog to be seen by this vet again. Had I not noticed these errors, who knows what would have happened to my pet! Read Less

When we moved to Elkhart I was worried about our dog who has had on going digestive problems but now that I've gone to Animal Care Clinic North for 3 regular visits I'm so glad to have a new vet. They are all very friendly with me and my dog. I don't even have to wait that long in the rooms before they are coming in and helping us. Our cat had been throwing up and losing weight. Blood work up showed high white blood cell count which can mean something as simple as an infection or as serious as leukemia. We opted for antibiotic injection, meds to stimulate appetite. Didn't work. No appetite and continued to weaken. Went back today and Dr. Havens was able to feel something in his intestines. Usually this is a type of cancer called lymphoma. Told us treatment option with caveat that it wouldn't be a cure. I was emotionally and mentally ready to let him go rather than heroic actions that would only prolong the inevitable. Can't say enough GOOD about the greatness of the Vet Dr's, the Speciallized Tech's quality of care, even the tenderhearted concern of the receptionists answering the phones. Patty Farr and Lauren exceeded OUTSTANDING Ratings as professionals along with skill and GENUINE Concern for me and my animals. We just began going to Animal Care Clinic after our previous vet had retired as they came VERY highly recommended from our neighbors. As we have FIVE furbabies, it was a tall order to get them all in as new patients, but the staff has been wonderful in letting them stagger them in for their initial visits. The are very competitive in pricing and considering how dedicated the team is, I would say worth every single penny! Most recently our darling kitty, Ralphie, ended up with an emergency blockage. We had not yet had him in for an initial visit, but they took him immediately for me when they opened at 7:30 and called me a little over an hour later with an update on him. He's doing wonderfully thanks to the caring staff here! I cannot thank you enough for what you did for our boy.... at three years old we certainly didn't expect him to have these issues, but we do what we do for the love of our furbabies. we had our fur baby in on Tues. the Dr. said she was about 100% sure he had cancer. That is ok we understand this. She knew it was bad but did not put it on the line instead she prescribed almost $80.00 in meds she knew he would not be able to take said to buy baby food , cottagecheese we did . syringes were even sent home with us. Tell me She didn't know. We lost our baby on Thursday morning. Needless to say he wont be back for his Followup app. Please be honest with people don't make us spend needless money and think our babies have more time left than 2 days. He died peacefully at home with us. you did all the bloodwork and you knew! WHY...???? It really hurts bad but please be HONEST with people. Read Less

Dr. Havens and Dr. Ellis are great and the staff is superior. Our little girl had surgery yesterday to remove a mass on her leg. In the middle of the night she had licked her stitches out and had to have them restitched this morning. Very caring and helpful. They turned what could have been a rotten Christmas into one of hope. I can't imagine what I would have done of not for Animal Care Clinic North. I had a beautiful Main Coon 11 year old tabby cat with white paws and a white bib. She became ill and needed care, I had been to the Clinic before but had not had an animal as sick as my Daisy. The first day was Monday morning we took her in and one of God's Angel was working, her name is Dr Tina Wallace. She and her staff took amazing care of her. She came home but didn't get better, she got worse. I took her back on Tuesday they tried everything to make her better they kept her over night but she didn't respond to the treatment. I made the decision to do the caring thing and let her go to kitty heaven. Dr Wallace was there for Daisy and for me, I am so grateful for all of the care and concern that Dr Wallace and her staff has given to us. On Saturday I received a call from Dr. Wallace asking us how we was doing. She is an amazing Dr and I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good Veterinary, any of the Dr's from Animal Care Clinic North will be there ready and willing to give your family's pets all the care they would need. Absolutely LOVE them! My friend recommended them to me after I had a horrible experience with another vet. My dog had great anxiety whenever we visited the former vet, and it was an all out battle getting him to even go in there. Animal Care Clinic North took the time to make him feel comfortable and welcomed. Now we can't drive past the clinic without him wanting to go say "hi" to everyone. They are amazing, and I'm so thankful I took my dog to them. I now have great peace of mind that I have found someone that cares about my dog as much as I do.
