Treated my puppy with a leg fracture. Instead of informing us that payment is due in full before all services could be completed they waited until they couldn’t do anything due to Anathesia wearing off and left us with the option to put him under again for an additional $100 or just send him home with mild pain pills (no splint or brace to help with pain and stability) and to schedule a visit with the vet for surgery (no possible cast) or amputation. My 5 month old puppy started acting ill and had diarrhea. We had pitty for his upset stomach and wanted to rule out something more serious even though it was 1am. Everyone there was helpful and friendly. They got us in quickly, explained everything polielty, got him some medicine, and we were on the road again, very reasonably priced as well. In my opinion some of the poor reviews (if not all) are just from common ignorance. The most ill animals are cared for first (as it should be) and sometimes care is expensive. I greatly appreciate them being there for me and my pup! Read Less

I was willing to pay 500.00 but who has 1250.00 on hand . They stole my dog who was in pain. They took advantage of the fact I was in shock and couldn't make a racial decesion. The worst ! I am seeking legal advise! Plus they acted like they were doing me some kind of favor. If they were acting in the best interest of my dog they would have let me make payments. and let the dog go to her family after the tragedy and not strangers. Read Less

My husband and I brought our 7 month old Collie here after she began experiencing symptoms resembling bloat. As this is a very serious and life threatening condition, we brought her in right away. We were first seen my Toni, the vet tech. I have honestly never encountered such a rude and insensitive human. The first thing she did was scold us for not feeding her four times a day instead of three... after the actual vet ruled out bloat, Toni came back in trying to get us to agree to a $120 injection for nausea. We have nausea medication from our actual vet which we explained and nausea was not the reason we were their nor the problem at all. so we declined the injection. Toni gave us all of the dirty looks and made us feel like awful people. It’s upsetting that at an establishment of this nature that an employee would be so judgmental and rude. It turns out none of what they suggested was even accurate. After an exam, x rays, and $230s later, we found out she had a bad bout of acid reflux, which the $120 injection would have done nothing for. If upper management sees this post, I’d recommend Toni learn some manners before interacting with scared people and their sick pets. Read Less

Brought my dog in a little after 6pm. They took us to a room because my dog was vomiting(prior to arrive and never there) Took over a hour for the nurse to come in and do the basics then over another hour to come do a swab test. Was told results only take 10 mins 30 mins later was told the results Wasn't till 8:50 that I actually saw and talked with the vet and was told since the 1st test came back negative that it could be any number of thing Had a nurse pull the dog to get him weighed around 830 and she came back multiple times trying to sell me more exams and stuff they would do to my dog but never brought him back. Even after my 4 yr old asked her to bring the dog back because "the dog needed to see her and she missed the dog" Total time spent 4 1/2 hrs Spent 1/2 just waiting on paperwork Tried to up sale me all the procedures to $800 The vet and nurses wouldn't send pills home with me unless I did all the extra procedures even though I would agree to pay for them Charged me a "hazardous material clean up fee" supposedly my dog puked in the back Read Less

Back in the fall of 2016, I had spent Saturday day hiking with my medical service dog, Twinkle. When we got home, she began vomiting a white foamy stuff. After a little while of this, I called APEC and was advised to either bring her in or crate her for the evening. I drove to Evansville so should could be seen all the while thinking she must've gotten into something on the trail. I was completely shocked when the veterinarian said she had a flipped stomach a/k/a gastric torsion/bloat. She was going to need immediate surgery. Depending on how long the blood supply was cut off to her stomach, she could possibly not recover. I was extremely upset. Luckily, the surgery went well and today she is a healthy, happy dog. The staff at APEC were very understanding, explained everything up front and what my two surgical options for her were. Since my husband was out of town, I was able to get him on the phone to make the deposit and final payment when I picked her up. On Sunday morning following the surgery, the staff allowed me to stop in and visit with Twinkle for a short time before picking her up Monday morning. While the surgery itself was expensive, I felt the cost was inline for an emergency visit and surgery early on Sunday morning. Everyone there was super understanding and compassionate regarding the situation. I can't thank them enough for everything they did for Twinkle. Read Less

Payed 546.00 Dollars for them to put my dog under anesthesia only clean her tail after she got the tip cut off in the screen door. After taking my dog to her regular vet I found out that all they did was clean her tail and left the bone exposed . He scrubbed her wound and dressed it while she was awake . Now she has to have surgery to graph skin over the bone. ALL this could have been done while she was under anesthesia the first time. By the way it 200.00 for the anesthesia. Im just thankful that they aren't allowed to work on humans. THIS PLACE IS FULL OF CROOKS WHO PREY ON PEOPLE'S EMOTIONS! I want half my money back to pay for the surgery that has to be performed by another vet. Read Less

I brought my cat in last night 3/13/16, she had been vomiting for a few days and couldn't pass any stool. Before I took her in I knew she was very sick but she was still purring and would curl up in your lap and even hop up on a chair. The staff was very kind and helpful but....they gave my cat an enema, some anti-nausea medication, and some fluids under her skin because she was dehydrated. When they brought my cat back out to me she was limp and her head was just hanging to the side.... the nurse said that it was fine. I paid the outrageous price of $476.00 and started to head home with my Miss.Button......she died in my husband's lap not even thirty minutes later. I feel like they gave her too much for her body to deal with at once and of course I didn't question it before hand because I figured that she was in great care.....so I will never recommend them to anyone!!
