Usually enjoy taking my pets here but the most recent experience was HORRIBLE. We brought our 17 year old dog here to be put to rest and the process was terrible. We were wanting his paw print (for necklaces, etc) and his body cremated, BUT THE TECH CHOSE TO JUST CREMATE HIM WITHOUT TELLING US SO NOW WE CANT GET HIS PRINT. I am livid that this even happened, my family is upset, and nothing can be done to change that.

The reason for my visit to Saint Joe Veterinary Clinic was to take my daughter's cat. I have been here on one other occasion. This is a very neat and clean facility. The staff are attentive and make sure that you are welcome. The first thing after getting you registered is their attention immediately turns towards your sick pet placing it at ease as best they can. Then they get all the pertinent information concerning your pets visit in order to take the appropriate care. Since we left the pet we had no other contact beyond the registration desk. However I can say that I was at ease leaving our pet behind for evaluation. The staff are top notch people who always have your pets best interests in mind. Overall our experience was warm, reassuring and professional.

I have been very impressed with the care that my dog has received here. It is easy to schedule an appointment, and there is never a long wait. The staff are very patient with my pup that is scared of the vet. They always answer my questions and seem to want to make sure that I am satisfied. I also really appreciate that they have Saturday hours.

Heartbreaking experience!
Young woman vet here did ultrasound on my westie telling me 5-6 puppies. One week before due date did x-ray on her telling me 2 puppies. My dog went into labor Friday night 12/11/15. Called vet Saturday morning when we noticed black green discharge. Same young woman vet (sadly) told us (only thru receptionist) that this was "perfectly normal", "nothing to be concerned about." Monitored my westie, feeling puppy movement for 2 more hours. When puppies became still, we really began to worry. Called emergency vet (now afternoon) for second opinion and was told black/green discharge not at all normal, indicates premature placenta separation. Long story short: 3 beautiful but completely dead puppies (not 5-6 OR 2.)
We have been taking our 2 westies to St. Joe Vet Clinic for years, the momma all her life. This was my 7 year old westie's first litter. Because of her age, I was very concerned and asked if a vet could be available to talk with me on phone if her labor should be occurring during non-office hours and we saw anything that concerned us. Response (from receptionist): Our doctors have families and lives. You'll have to go to the emergency vet. I would have thought that 7 years of patronage could have gotten us at least a phone number for a calming conversation or advice that emergency vet is the place to go now!
Sadly, we noticed the discharge during Saturday office hours. Had it happened late Friday night or later Saturday, our only option would have been the emergency vet's number and we would likely have 3 beautiful puppies alive today! Never, never again.

The reason for my visit to Saint Joe Veterinary Clinic was to take my daughter's cat. I have been here on one other occasion. This is a very neat and clean facility. The staff are attentive and make sure that you are welcome. The first thing after getting you registered is their attention immediately turns towards your sick pet placing it at ease as best they can. The staff are very patient with my pup that is scared of the vet. They always answer my questions and seem to want to make sure that I am satisfied.
