I had been to a couple of vets trying to help my little female Shih-Tzu who was battling a severe skin allergy. She was 15 pounds of the nicest little dog you would ever care to meet. This was the first time we had been to Helfritch. He walked in to the exam room, stopped several feet away from my dog, then he walked over and THROTTELED HER BY THE NECK! Her eyes were bugging out of her head as she struggled to breathe! I was shocked beyond belief! He did this in front of me! I can not imagine what goes on in that place when there is no one there. €Dr. Frank€ is a monster! If you love your pet, find another Vet! Read Less

The service my rescued dog and I get at Covington Veterinary Hospital is outstanding. This is the first dog I have adopted, and being a first time owner I was concerned about everything I thought was abnormal. They answer all my questions professionally and accurately and you can tell all the staff genuinely care about all pets that come through their doors. Dr. Helfrich does a thorough job at examining and diagnosing and making sure you understand what exactly is going on and he's quick with an answer. The customer service at the front desk just tops off the whole experience. I absolutely would recommend this vet to any pet owner, new or experienced.Read Less

Been taking my Labs to Dr. Helfrich for years. He has a very patient temperament and is great with my animals. He is through in his exams and fair with his prices. I would recommend to anyone. Note: the floors are slick in the entry area and my yellow lab hates slick floors, but it does make controlling her easier. Also, he schedules his appointments and sticks to his schedule, I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. We all know sitting in the waiting room with hissing cats and barking dogs is never fun, but Dr. Helfrich gets us in and out quickly! Read Less
