Edwardsville Animal Clinic

Georgetown, Indiana
General Info
The Edwardsville Animal Clinic is a well-respected establishment in the local pet community. Edwardsville Animal Clinic in Georgetown encourages Indiana families to make regular veterinary checkups a routine part of caring for pets, whether they are young or old. The visit starts with an organized discussion analyzing daily life, appetite, bathroom habits, sleep behavior and the environment changes. The physical examination involves checking joint mobility, heart and lung sounds, eye clarity, skin quality, and oral health. The findings are then compared to the baseline notes and previous visits to identify any subtle changes. Edwardsville Animal Clinic offers various services such as wellness and parasite testing, stool analysis, vaccinations, dental and mobility assessments, weight counseling, as well as treatment plans for skin or GI issues. Care evolves with age, breed, and household specifics. Active dogs undergo orthopedic evaluations more often than older indoor pets, who require chronic care plans for thyroid and renal health. Upon the visit, pet owners receive written records and future reminders. “Digital access” not only refers to the child’s health and prescription records but also includes developmental tracking tools and planning resources. Families with multiple pets or limited time can ask for combined visits, virtual consultations, or rotating recheck schedules. Senior pets get their adjusted care with additional comfort evaluations at home. Edwardsville Animal Clinic aids Georgetown families in implementing care habitually via established touchpoints and precise planning. Throughout Indiana residences, dependable performance generates quantifiable long-term benefits. The practice provides a variety of services such as internal medicine, spay/neuter, dental care, dermatology, and puppy/kitten care. These treatments ensure that the pet receives adequate support and care at every stage of its life. Pet owners appreciate the team’s approach and the way they communicate compassionately and clearly when explaining medical decisions. From senior pet care to urgent health matters, the team strives to foster long-term relationships built on consistency and genuine care. It also plays a major role in ensuring that pet owners are aware of the preventive strategies they need to implement. Edwardsville Animal Clinic’s active participation in community events helps build a solid foundation of responsible pet ownership. New clients say they are always happy to come back because the veterinary clinic keeps evolving as modern practices advance.

I DO NOT recommend this facility. I have two dogs and every time I brought my dogs for a routine check up, they were diagnosed with an illness. My little pup had some bumps mysteriously appear, so I rushed him to the vet....Three biopsies and 1500$ later they just went away. He just had allergies. The poor thing is still terrified of the vet. My big dog was super happy and healthy...a ten year old in a sudden and spontaneous second puppy-hood was diagnosed with Lyme disease. The vet said she ran a second test to confirm then sent off a $600 blood test and lengthy medicinal treatment strategy. I took my big dog for a second opinion...she was completely healthy...except for a harmless small polyp on her eyelid. Every time I took my puppies there, I was convinced they were on their death beds and me being the sucker mom paid the bill..usually over $1000. This place made me lose faith in the veterinarian purpose! Read Less

This is the worst vets office I been to. The rooms are so small you can barely move much in them. They fill you with false hopes and dreams on your pet getting better. I honestly do not think they deserve a vet degree. We too our cat in which had inflamed gums and they gave it stitches but did not even offer or recommend a cone so he won't scratch it. When we took him back I went off and they told us that they didn't even think about it. They have no idea what they are doing there and if you really love your animals you should avoid this place like the plague. Read Less

In my opinion, Loftus is exceptionally unprofessional & discriminating. After accompanying a client to pick up her dog, we were taken to an exam room, required to pay the bill in full in the exam room even before seeing the dog, & then, when I inquired why they held the dog from my client due to lack of payment, but allowed other clients to take their pets home & "make payments" Loftus exploded! She started carrying on about how much money she donates & what her account receivables are then she ordered myself & the client (who never spoke once) to NEVER return to her clinic & she exited the room. Not once did I raise my voice to Dr. Loftus. At this visit, Dr. Loftus NEVER offered this paying client the opportunity to discuss her dog’s life threatening situation, what had been done, or how to prevent this situation from re-occurring. Approx.10 minutes later, a clinic worker appeared, handed off the dog & answered several questions regarding the animals condition. Read Less
