This place does not even deserve 1 star! The veterinarian is horrible with dogs and probably all animals at that. I took my Newfoundland who is a hyper puppy in for a kennel cough vaccination before taking him to training. My dog barked at him and he instantly got scared and asked for him to be muzzled. After that appointment against my better judgment I scheduled my newfie to be neutered at this place. So I changed my work schedule, got a sitter before work for my kiddos so that I could take him in for his procedure and when I get there they check me in and put me in a room to wait . After about 10 minutes the veterinarian pokes his head through the door and asked me if I have someone to help me hold him for a shot my dogs needs. I said " no I was not informed that I needed someone to help me". I am pretty sure there are people called vet tech's that are responsible for that! I am not asked to hold my children down when they get shots so why would I need to hold my dog down?! Not sure if they are too cheap to hire tech's or for some reason didn't want to neuter my big guy but either way the way they handled the situation was very unprofessional! Read Less

My beloved pet Katie was very sick. We brought her here and the doctor was very honest with us about her prognosis. She gave us all options and the out come of each. We took Katie home to think about what to do. The next morning we called and told them we wanted to end her pain and suffering. When we brought her in later in the day, everyone was so nice and sympathetic. The doctor explained everything to us and allowed us to spend some time with her before and after the procedure. We chose to have her cremated. A week later they called to have us pick up the ashes which were nicely presented in a decorative gift bag. Inside the bag was a wooden box with a velvet bag containing her ashes. This was so hard on my family, however the doctors and staff here made us feel like they really cared and made it a bit easier. Last week we received a sympathy card from the office with Katie's paw print inside. They did something I never even thought about doing! I am so grateful to these caring people. This animal clinic is a JOKE. When i first walked in i thought it would be fine because the lady who greeted me was so welcoming. Once i was taken back to my room the nurse came. Ack and she looked miserable along with the doctor. The doctor didnt know what to do or suggest. I made all the suggestions. They didnt even offer to do an xray just was like "well i dont know whats causing the bleeding in the nose. His stitches in his mouth came loose." So i asked if they could do an xray and fix the stitching. Oh no. Oh no. They just looked at me like thats the last thing thy want to do. Instead he says "its not that serious. He does need stitches but i think he'll be okay for a few days." Even tho he also said food can get up in there and cause an infection. LOL. I was so upset at this point. They were so aggressive to my dog to the point he tried to bite them and was shaking from being so terrified. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR DOG TO FRANKLIN ANIMAL CLINIC. there is one in greenwood. They treated my dog with kindness and actually cared. The doctor there new exactly what to do and what to suggest to help my pup. This place only gave me medicine and sent me on my way. A JOKE.
