UPDATE: I spoke to the manager the next day, she was very understanding of the situation and told me my complaint wasn't the first about the lady at the front desk and that she would reprimand her. Thank you! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE, UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO BE OVER VACCINATED! The doctors might be amazing, but unfortunately they have a horribly deceptive/manipulative front desk that can't do their job. I called earlier today around 1:50 PM to request an appointment with grooming. The older sounding lady tells me that my cat Nala is due for a bunch of vaccines/rabies which I knew she already had gotten before, so I knew this couldn't be correct. Nala had been to two different vets prior to her visit to Griffith Animal Hospital, because my sister used to own her. Keep in mind, I gave them ALL of her past records a long time ago from both vets, yet they had the audacity to tell me she was due for so many vaccines, even though she was up to date with everything. She had the audacity to cut me off and argue before I could point out that I had already given them all her past records. She told me "I've been here two years. I deal with this everyday, etc.," and kept arguing that she was past due for everything she mentioned. Then finally I get a chance to tell her and she finds the records from the other clinic and doesn't even apologize, but blames the original lady who handled the paperwork. What a shame. So I told her I will go somewhere else. Later that day, I had to call them back to request proof of rabies for the new grooming salon I was planning to go to; someone else picks up this time (a younger sounding girl) I hear the other lady I spoke to earlier arguing in the background that Nala's rabies vaccine is past due even though it's not. Then they say they found the correct records and will fax it over to the grooming salon. I get a call from the grooming salon and it turns out they sent them old records, which state the rabies expired a long time ago. So now I'm just furious. I call the clinic back and the same girl picks up, and I explain the situation to her. She puts me on hold for about 3 minutes and hangs up. Keep in mind, this was around 5:50 PM when I called back the third time. The clinic closes at 6 PM. Clearly her hanging up on me was intentional. So this is why I say, if you want a trustworthy clinic with receptions who aren't careless for your fur babies, then DO NOT go here. Read Less

**From an 8 year customer** I brought my German Shepherd Jada in to have her ear hematoma looked at, the doctor bandaged it up, put her on anti-inflammatory meds and told me to come in Friday and she'll look and see if she'll need surgery. I got called into work but brought her in first chance i got Monday morning at 8 a.m. right after my 14 hour work shift to get looked at, and was told doctors don't even get there until 9 so I wasted what little time off work I had that day going there. The receptionist made me make an appointment for Wednesday even after I explained the doctor told me just to bring her in and she'll tell me yes or no to her needing surgery, did not mention needing any appointments or exams. So I brought her in Wednesday just wanting to see if my poor dog needs surgery or not and they tried charging me for another exam! I said "The doctor just needs to glance at her ear and we'll set up a surgery date, I already paid for an exam for this I'm not paying for another" and the doctor refused to see her without paying for another "exam". I asked to speak with the owner, the employe refused to allow that. I asked for the owners phone number, the employee said "That's not going to happen." I was not allowed to speak with anyone with any kind of authority about this situation, and when I said "You are going to lose an 8 year customer who has spent thousands of dollars here and is about to pay for a $500 surgery (I also was going to get her a dental which I know is not cheap" because you want to charge me for another $40 exam??" I was told "That's our policy". No attempt was made to try to contact a supervisor or an owner and see if something could be done about this situation. The staff obviously has no business sense or respect for long term loyal customers. I'm very disappointed lack of willingness to try to resolve a simple issue and upset I wasted 2 days going to this office and getting no help. An 8 year customer and untold thousands more dollars was just lost to your business over a $40 exam fee. I will have to take my business elsewhere, and I hope my dog Jadas ear is going to be ok.Read Less

Wont do surgery on my sick 3.8 lb chihuahua with a 2 rows of teeth that are infected and wont eat until I do a rabie shot, deworm, and 7 and 1 vaccine..As you see below you should never vaccinate a sick dog let alone vaccinate before surgery.I explained that to them and they said it would ok if they vaccinate a couple days before. You should not vaccinate a month before or a month after surgery especially a small dog with high risk of a reaction. I need to find a Vet that has my babies best interest.I offered to do a month prior but they said no. Its all about the money. She is a hoise pet and is not at high risk for rabies. You need to be your pet's advocate. Here is an example of bad medicine. This animal was admitted to the hospital for vomiting and diarrhea, needing IV fluids and medication. The NEXT DAY the pet was vaccinated for Rabies, Influenza, Distemper, Hepatitis, 4 strains of Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Coronavirus, and Bordetella. First, I would never give all those vaccines at one time. Second, I would never give them to a sick dog. Third, I don't recommend most of these vaccines anyway. There is a whole chapter on vaccines in my book "From Needles to Natural: Learning Holistic Pet Healing". Do not allow this to happen to your pet. Tell your veterinarian you will not allow your pet to be vaccinated while ill, while having a surgical or dental procedure, or to be given a dozen vaccines all at the same time. Speak up and be heard. #immunesystemshot, #drjudymorgan, #naturallyhealthypetsRead Less

I called here today and asked if they have any kittens available for adoption. The lady on the phone said "yes, we have alot of kittens available" I then asked if we could come see them, and would be right down...said thats fine...once we got there, they took us to there cat room with 3 cats (not kittens) in it. Clearly said that I saw on your website u had 12 kittens some being only a few weeks old, and I preferred to look at those kittens. The vet tech told us we would have to wait bc someone was back there with them...no big deal we waited...she kept trying to push the older cats on us...so we went in their waiting room to wait to see the kittens. She then said from the front desk "is there anything else I can help u with" I said " I thought we were waiting to see the kittens" she said "well I dnt even know if there are any available, and their isn't anyone able to show you them"....what??? Don't tell someone you have kittens and then not let them see and possibly adopt one. My 2 girls were heartbroken. If a stable home with 2 girls isn't a good enough home for their kittens what is????Read Less

Wonderful, caring, I can't say enough good things about Dr. Peg and her staff! I have to drive 25 miles one way to get here, and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
