Wont do surgery on my sick 3.8 lb chihuahua with a 2 rows of teeth that are infected and wont eat until I do a rabie shot, deworm, and 7 and 1 vaccine..As you see below you should never vaccinate a sick dog let alone vaccinate before surgery.I explained that to them and they said it would ok if they vaccinate a couple days before. You should not vaccinate a month before or a month after surgery especially a small dog with high risk of a reaction. I need to find a Vet that has my babies best interest.I offered to do a month prior but they said no. Its all about the money. She is a hoise pet and is not at high risk for rabies. You need to be your pet's advocate. Here is an example of bad medicine. This animal was admitted to the hospital for vomiting and diarrhea, needing IV fluids and medication. The NEXT DAY the pet was vaccinated for Rabies, Influenza, Distemper, Hepatitis, 4 strains of Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Coronavirus, and Bordetella. First, I would never give all those vaccines at one time. Second, I would never give them to a sick dog. Third, I don't recommend most of these vaccines anyway. There is a whole chapter on vaccines in my book "From Needles to Natural: Learning Holistic Pet Healing". Do not allow this to happen to your pet. Tell your veterinarian you will not allow your pet to be vaccinated while ill, while having a surgical or dental procedure, or to be given a dozen vaccines all at the same time. Speak up and be heard. #immunesystemshot, #drjudymorgan, #naturallyhealthypetsRead Less
