I took my dog, wauly, here for digestive issues. Not only was Dr. Dave and is staff knowledgeable, but they were quite friendly and attentive to his needs. Augusta is very clean and not as expensive as the big box clinics. Was able to make a same day appointment and walked straight into the exam room. I had my first vet experience with the new puppy at Augusta. I took him in for his vaccinations. The whole process was so easy, I couldn't believe it. The appointment was very easy to set up, the appointment time was kept and I was able to get right in. When I got the puppy into the clinic, the staff was friendly and laid back. I am getting emotional just typing this post! We are so glad to have found Dr. Dave and his staff. He is the most caring animal dr. I have ever met. We feel that our pups are an extension of his family and that is super important to us. Before our very first visit there in April this year, we had a sudden loss of our healthy 10 yr old lab, Sadie. Her sudden death has been a mystery because she was fine one minute.. and gone the next. It prompted us to search for a vet to make sure our other dog Piper was in good health. When I took Piper in, he sat down with me and just wanted to talk about our history. I told him of our recent loss and you could just tell her wanted to bring me closure by explaining what he felt happened. I was just so surprised that most of our first visit was him consoling ME about a dog that he'd never meet! That's when I knew he's the dr. for us. Since then, we've added a new puppy to our family and she adores Dr. Dave. She was in this week to get a lump checked out.. and turns out it was just a reaction to her recent vaccines. We recently switched to Augusta Animal Clinic due to incompetence by our previous vet.  The staff are all very friendly, knowledgeable, and seem to actually care about your pet's needs.  Our previous vet (Banfield) failed to properly diagnose an issue which should have been very apparent to someone properly trained, however, Augusta Animal Clinic noticed the problem right away and set our dog Lucy up on an affordable and effective treatment plan.  If you're thinking about switching from your current vet, give these guys a try and you'll wish you had done it sooner! What an amazing Doctor & clinic!!!!!! I am always picky about the medical care of my now 8-year old Yellow Labrador Retriever, Dwight Kurt Schrute-Dunn, and I have been blown away by this amazing Veterinary Clinic. The clinic itself is very clean and inviting when you enter, and the receptionist is extremely friendly and genuinely happy to greet you and your pet. They are polite, and spend time letting you know what the days process will be, a completely different experience from every veterinary clinic we have encountered. Doctor Dave, is the most incredible and compassionate veterinarian I have ever met. If you want a vet who truly cares about the health and well-being of your child (pet), this is the place for you. He was also very present and involved in the appointment. My past experience with vets, you spend ten minutes with the vet tech, and the Veterinarian you max out at five minutes. Today, Dr. Fenoglio spent 30-45 minutes with me and my pup, thoroughly examining his medical history and talking to me about his current status. He also was very informative on the exams (X-Rays, meditations, preventive solutions, and nutrition) explaining what could be going on, and prioritizes needs based upon your ability to afford them. After much research, the average cost for one X-Ray with sedation is around $700. I was prepared for that. The price he quoted (which I will not post, as it can vary based upon each situation) was significantly less, and for more than one. I was given a detailed report on what treatment he would receive, and would get a call upon completion. They weren't kidding, and the ACTUAL Veterinarian called me (Dr. Dave) !!!!!!!!! He gave me the results of the X-Ray, and several treatment options, and identified the best program for my son. He also was detailed in explaining the costs associated with each option, and spent significant time considering my budget issues, and where he could reduce costs, and I have to tell you, it was such a relief to feel so comfortable in spending money on my Dwight. The Veterinarian and the clinic staff are the most supportive and compassionate professionals I have ever had the honor of meeting. Dr. Dave and Vicky have been taking care of my pets--cats and dogs--since 2000. My pets have led long and healthy lives, and Dr. Dave has helped me make wise and compassionate choices regarding their medical care and end-of-life issues. I adopted a scrawny, sickly kitty from the Humane Society, and when it was time for me to take her home, they told me she was too sick and would not live. I begged them to let me take her and they told me I couldn't get a refund if she died. I took her to Dr. Dave, and he gave her all manner of antibiotics and de-worming medicines. That was 15 years ago! She is still like a kitten! My first dog was terrified of vets, and no vet in town would treat her. I called him, and he agreed to see her. She warmed up to him and let him examine her. He always takes the time to make your pet comfortable, and he also feels like a friend whom you can trust. When I've had to say tearfully say goodbye to my loved ones, Dave and staff shared the tears with me. Most veterinarian offices are fancy and well appointed. Dr. Dave puts his resources into excellent medical care instead. His place reminds me of the country vets of the good ol days--and it is obvious he loves pets. He has five dogs of his own. It harkens back to the days of veternarians who ran clinics out of their home and put more emphasis on animal care than on posh interior decorating.Dr. Dave is down to earth and most of all, he loves pets. He is thorough in his exams, and makes excellent recommendations. His small staff have been with him since he opened the clinic, and they all went to college together. This is a fantastic testament to the environment of loyalty he has created.I previously went to other veterinarian clinincs around town and could never find one that either a) actually cared about pets or b) didn't cost me half my life savings to cover their cost of interior decorating.
