The customer service is very helpful. One of our dogs has a lot of health issues, and a nurse offered a different program which would save us money in the end. The vets and staff clearly care, not only about the animals but about your wallet. They’re patient and kind with our dogs who tend to be a bit anxious at the vet. Great place to go if you want scammed !!!!! They don't care about your pet only your money. There like " click bait" on the internet. Hide additional fees until you show up for your appointment. The reason I chose this place was the great reviews. Why couldn't you be professional and honest the first time ???!!! Wow. I'm seriously blown away by this clinic. My regular vet is on hiatus and I was desperate to get my kitty in for fear of ringworm. I called BPWC and they were able to get me in same day and since it was our first visit there, the exam fee was waived. Every single person I encountered, phone lady, front desk lady, vet tech, and vet were all top notch, caring, friendly and very accommodating. This is a good place to take pets for routine care. The staff is friendly and helpful, and if you have an appointment, your pet's name will be on the welcome board you see when you walk in. When I first started going there, their pricing was below average to get new customers coming back. Now it's on par with the market, so I have migrated back to the Iconic Dr. Doyle. Sorry about that, but I'll be back after he retires. It's a convenient location, but beware of the crossing stoplights on Binford, both at Graham and 71st street. I say this because the red lights constantly get ran by fast moving N-S traffic on Binford, so check both ways before you cross Binford. Having your beloved pet in the car would be the worst time to get T-boned. Read Less

I've been taking my cats here for a few years since I moved to Indy. The people who work here never stop making me feel like they really love what they do. They're reasonably priced and  aren't into upselling additional products like other vet offices. Also, they sent me a video of my cat after I got his teeth cleaned. The only teensy weensy criticism I have is that I wish they could do major surgeries out of their office too. Many of us go through financial down-turns and pet expenses can be heartbreaking; we need our pets still in our lives when we go through traumatic times. I had to go to Noah's once when one of my cats needed his leg re-set after being hit by a car. Because Noah's is the only place in Indy that does major surgeries like that, the cost was about 4k (they did a great job though!). I even initially checked with the Purdue vet school, which had a higher price of 7k, so...I definitely didn't go there. More vet surgeons in Indy would mean more choices and the costs would be lowered for us pet parents. It's so tough out there now; people are really struggling to pay vet bills for emergencies. I'm glad I could use my savings to pay for my kitty (I didn't qualify for their credit plan), but other people may have had to consider euthanasia simply because of the cost.  No one should have to choose whether their furbaby lives or dies simply because they cannot afford the price of surgery. I've been taking my pets here for a little over a year. They always receive excellent care at BPW. The staff are extremely welcoming and kind, and Dr. Darden is knowledgeable and professional. As mentioned in other reviews, prices are reasonable and charges and procedures are always explained up front so you know what to expect.Recently while visiting from out of town my parents' dachshund fell ill. We found out she had a series of cancerous tumors in her chest and did the hardest - and most humane - thing we've ever had to do: we had her put to sleep. Dr. Darden and the BPW staff were so careful with her and so comforting to me on that difficult day. They even had a bouquet of flowers sent to us in sympathy. A sad turn to this review, but all of that is to emphasize how compassionate the skilled professionals at BPW are. I hope with all my heart I never have to make another difficult visit there again, but because of the staff's kindness and support, I will keep bringing my beloved animals here for all their care needs. I took our new fur baby here Thursday morning for her first veterinary visit.  The staff was great with her!  I wasn't sure what my dog would think about it all as she was a stray a family member had found, but she loved all the petting and attention.  There was such a calm atmosphere about this place too and that helped set me at ease.The exam was extremely quick and thorough.  Dr. Darden and the technician (I wish I could remember her name) were great at explaining the tests and different vaccinations and preventative options available to me.  They were also very upfront about all costs so that there were no surprises when it came time to pay the bill before leaving.  Rosie left with a clean bill of health, all of her vaccines, a flea/tick preventative, and heartworm preventative all for a reasonable price.  She was a happy girl and I was a happy dog mom!  I'm glad we found a great place to call our home veterinary clinic! After doing due diligence and confirming prices of a procedure before scheduling an appointment, we arrived to learn the price was going to actually be $200 more than quoted over the phone. Apparently, the incorrect estimate was due to a new employee, which I understand, but some financial flexibility on the bill I feel was necessary and not given. I do have to say when retrieving our pet the doctor acknowledged the mistake and offered a free exam at a later date. Although I appreciate the acknowledgment, all I feel that insured was that we return after a bad experience. We decided to switch because of an emergency situation And we have been so happy ever since... all of the problems with the skin allergies are completely healed and he's living a very happy comfortable life now! I'm pretty impressed with Binford Pet Wellness clinic! Their prices are reasonable. His normal vet quoted me $567 just for a reg dental cleaning w/ no extractions. Binford was less than half that price and that included antibiotics. They took great care of him. He even got an ID card and a cute bandana and he smelled so good! His teeth look great! WOW! We absolutely love the Binford Pet Wellness Center! Hands down best vet I've ever brought my pets to. They truly go above and beyond for your pets and for you as the owner. This clinic is very affordable, the staff is incredibly kind as well as informative, and they are very flexible and easy to schedule with. We won't even think about going to another vet as long as we live in Indianapolis. **We have two cats that we brought in for a spay, neuter, declaw and vaccines. We were nervous about the declaw at first because Binford doesn't use the laser declawing technique but our cat has actually healed faster and better than our other cat who had the more expensive laser declaw at a different clinic. They have both healed wonderfully from their surgeries with no complications. This is my vets office. I started going here because it is close to my house and reasonably priced. They are easy to make an appointment with. I have called in the afternoon and gotten an appointment the same day for a sick visit. My dog is groomed by Kristie, and he loves her. He runs towards her when I drop him off. Drop off time is between 7 and 8. Sometimes he is there longer than others, so make sure to communicate if you need to pick your dog up at a certain time. My miniature schnauzer costs around $40 to groom which seems reasonably priced. I have recommended this vet to others, and they have reported good service. I do think that they care about my dog and want to take great care of him. They are open until 6 pm and have Saturday hours as well. Read Less

If they suggested a product ( not prescription) they sold in the clinic, they were honest about saying similar products were available over the counter in retail shops. As a ridiculous pet owner who treats her dog like her child, I appreciate all that Binford Pet Wellness does to ensure I have a healthy mini dachshund.  I started bringing Buddha in when she was a pup, and Dr. Dardin and the staff always treat her with kindness and compassion.  One of my favorite little things is how they include her name on the welcome board outside of their office.  It's a small, meaningful gesture that sets a positive tone with every visit.We have learned the hard way that Buddha does not handle her vaccines as well as other dogs (aka her face blows up), and the staff is always accommodating in allowing her to stay for longer periods of time for monitoring in and treating those allergic reactions without charge.  They always follow up with a phone call, checking up to see how she is doing after visits.  I am incredibly grateful to take her to a vet that understands that my pet is family, and in turn they treat her like family too. After today's visit I can honestly say I highly recommend this wellness clinic! They offer affordable packages that meet all of your pets needs and have an incredibly friendly staff! I was a bit worried going into the clinic because my 9 month old Jack Russel Terrier is quite a shy guy and gets very nervous meeting new people! To my surprise, the staff was so friendly and gentle that he had no troubles at all! First thing I see when I walk up to the door was a white board that said "Welcome" and the list of pet names that had an appointment that day! That's not what sold me, although a very cute touch! What truly sold me was the compassionate receptionists/vet technicians and the entire staff!! When I walked in, there was no wait what-so-ever. They weighed my pup and set us up in an exam room with a vet assistant. The appointment was no longer than 30 minutes and all of my questions and concerns were addressed. I've had dogs my whole life and have been to many pet clinics. My current dog is the first one that I have taken to Binford Pet Wellness Clinic. Binford PWC is smaller than other veterinary clinics that I have taken previous pets to but the service has always been excellent. Little to no wait for an appointment. The technicians have been wonderful and have been able to handle my 90 pound dog. The veterinarians have always spent time answering my questions and providing me with reference material. Compassionate Care4. Emergency hoursI've had our new family puppy here for an initial checkup, with vaccinations and was very happy with 1,2,3, &4 above. They made sure I knew what options I had for ongoing care and made specific recommendations.Sadly, when it was time to visit again, it was for euthanizing an old cat. "Spend as much time as you need, we'll be outside". Then they took her gently into the back to place her catheter. Another offer for "all the time you need". They were very understanding and patient with the tears and emotional difficulty of this decision. It was quick, painless, and very very compassionate.To my astonishment, the next day they sent to our home a beautiful bouquet of roses with a condolence card attached. After much research, and an uncomfortable experience outside another vet clinic, I decided to take my dear kitty to Binford Pet Wellness Clinic. It's very close to my apartment and they seemed to be professional and their reviews were all through the roof. I'm happy to say that I've found a vet that I can rely on, who are great with animals, clean, professional, and very kind. Everyone in the clinic seems to genuinely love animals and their kindness shows in many ways. They have good hours, they're very efficient (I was in and out in under half an hour), the inside was spotless, and their prices are competitive.I only needed to have a consistent vet and my cat needed a full round of shots since she hadn't been to a vet since she left the humane society. First-time visitors get a free general health checkup, which I think is great, and a full round of shots was around $90. This includes the exam, rabies shot, distempter, feline leukemia vaccine, and a strong dose of heartworm meds. My cat was super groggy after all that, but what really stood out to me was that they called me the very next day to check on her and see how she was doing. She was definitely not herself after all the medicine, so it was relieving to get a call from them. This is definitely a vet clinic that you can rely on and trust. Read Less

This is one of the best vet clinics I've taken my dogs to! They are so nice...since the moment I made an urgent dental appointment for my 13 year old Dachshund. They put your dog's name on the board outside the clinic, welcoming them to their appt that day. They greet you with smiles no matter how early your appt is scheduled. They don't make you wait very long at all and if you are a new patient/client, your pet gets their picture taken and an ID card with their shot records! SO CONVENIENT AND SMART! Once you get in the room, they go over your purpose for being there, any issues your pet is having, then the nurse/vet tech does her check. The Dr. comes in, still very sweet and welcoming, talk to you about what is going on, check your dog, and recommend their plan of action. The clinic then gives you an itemized estimate of all of your costs (from that visit and any upcoming visits if necessary). My dog needed a dental cleaning so they gave me an itemized estimate with optional but recommended things. They give you updates on your dog's progress throughout the procedure, calls, texts, and if there are needed changes throughout the procedure, they let you know and the cost.They call to check up on your pet later that day, the next day, and are willing to answer any questions you may have in the days after the visit. They even sent a Get Well card, signed by everyone. I can't stress how kind and thoughtful they are...they treat you like family. I have never had a vet that was this nice...it was almost unreal. This facility has friendly staff and vets. I have had my dog there routinely for immunizations and dental cleanings. Prices are reasonable. After a disappointing experience with a recent diagnostic issue, I was invited to return and see a different vet. My experience with Dr. Graves was superb! It was apparent right away that he is very knowledgable and dedicated. Although I had initially been inclined to seek other canine care, I'm glad I gave BPW a second chance. I would NEVER take any pets Here! I was NOT impressed with the way this vet performed business AT ALL! All they cared about was receiving money, rather than finding out what was wrong with my cat. They took my cat out of the exam room, and did not perform any of the examination in front of me. Once they brought him back, they stated my cat was dying and I should put him down. As I am sitting in the room bawling, deciding what to do (they stated he was in a crazy amount of pain), a staff member came in and let me know I need to make a decision because they have another appointment they need the room for. At that point I opted to take the medication they offered (which was over 500$) instead of putting down my beloved pet. After all, my cat was only 3 years old and had no history of health issues. I gave my cat the 500$ worth of medication for only a week (there was enough in there for months). The Binford veterinarian told me I would need to give my cat 3 different medications twice a day until all 3 bottles were gone. After I brought him home I decided I needed a second opinion. I took him to Allisonville animal hospital; they thoroughly looked at him (while I was in the room) as well as performed a blood test on him (which Binford "said" they had done). As it turned out, Allisonville Animal Hospital determined he has a grain allergy. After paying 500$ for medication he DID NOT need, on top of the staff trying to put him down, I would not recommend ANYONE take their pets here. Two years later he is doing amazing; all he needed was some grain free food. Shame of you Binford Pet Wellness Clinic for trying to put my cat down for ABSOLUTELY no good reason. All you care about is money, not your patients and their families. I'm so glad I decided to get a second opinion and not listen to you. I took my puppy to the Binford Pet Wellness Clinic today, and was so impressed. The technician did an EXCELLENT job explaining all the different shots and medicines they recommend, which I especially appreciate as a first-time dog owner.. There was absolutely no pressure to get any of the non-mandatory treatments, or to go with the pricier options. In fact, they did everything they could to help keep my costs as low as possible. I didn't know they had a deal where the 1st exam is free so I didn't mention it, but they made sure to let me know and to not charge me for it. They were quick, efficient, and knowledgeable. I started taking my Australian Shepherd (Rowey) to Binford Wellness Clinic last year after receiving a coupon in the mail for a free check-up.  After taking him to Broad Ripple Animal Clinic for years prior I was amazed at how affordable the care and grooming are here.  He used to hate going to the groomers but now he gets really excited when I tell him we are going.  The people there are incredibly friendly and show genuine interest in my pet's well-being.  The groomers do such a great job even though Rowey can be a handful.  I most recently took him in on a Saturday with a really bad cut on his leg.  Five staples and a week's worth of doggie pain pills were all it took to fix up my poor pooch.  The bill was right around $100 with most of it budgeted for the medicine.  If I could give this place six stars I would!  The staff cares for my dog as if he were their own at a very affordable rate.  What more could you ask for?
