My mother had been taking her pets here for approximately 13 years. Elvis was her Chihuahua that we all absolutely adored and was the best dog ever. Unfortunately his life was cut very short at the hands of this place. Elvis had a skin disorder in which they were giving him steroid shots to help with the itching. They specifically told her that the shots may cause diabetes but continued giving them to him about every few months instead of considering other options. Elvis always had routine blood work done quite often so anything going on they should have seen because after all they are a licensed veterinarian. He had just had more blood work done December 5th and by December 6th the veterinarian was calling saying Elvis needed to be brought in right away which meaning that same day because he needed an ultrasound of his abdomen. Needless to say they never called to say anything was wrong or that everything was ok but it was so urgent that he needed brought in that same day. So by January 6th he got so sick that on January 7th we were taking him to an emergency vet that done blood work right away and could tell he was full blown diabetic,was in liver failure,had full blown pancreatitis and had to be euthanized a month later😢 How could a place say they care about your pets but could let something like this happen? We just don't understand and may never understand. We trusted this place and everything they were telling us. If you love your pets do not take them here. Now we know it was just about the money. We are all forever hurt and heartbroken.

I made an appointment to have my dogs teeth cleaned and an extraction back in November 2017. I was told that if I made the appointment in February, I would receive a discount as it was Dental Promotion Month. This worked out great for me since I had scheduled time off for that month. Two Days prior to the procedure I took her in for blood work and was called the following day, to say everything looked fine and the instructions I was to follow for surgery the next day. A couple hours later, I was called back and has told that the vet was on vacation and the visiting vet was uncomfortable doing the procedure, and that I was being Re-scheduled for the following week. WHAT? Less than 24 hours before I was to have her there, they just now find out there is no one to clean her teeth? I made this appointment 3 months ago. I have taken time off. The male receptionist was less than apologetic. He told me I would have to take it up with the office manager. I said I would like to speak with her. Well needless to say, no one ever called to explain to me who dropped the ball. I called another Vet and was able to get right in for the procedure. Poor office management, and poor customer service.

Grateful to have a vet I trust so close to home!
Had a bit of a scare over last weekend with our dog, who has been with us now for about a month. The vet is out on Saturdays, but the front desk was very reassuring and knowledgeable. She set up an appointment for us Monday morning and gave us steps for what we could do in the meantime to make our pup more comfortable. Our appointment could not have gone more smoothly. Our dog was very nervous/anxious in the lobby, but they made him feel right at home during the examination! They answered all of our questions, gave us the appropriate medicine and shots, and our dog is feeling much better now! Everyone we met seemed very knowledgeable and they clearly make customer care a top priority. They also have a candle in the lobby that they light if anyone has lost their pet, which I think is very thoughtful.

We finish our last set and they inform us that they dont have the paperwork, they have nothing on our dog. Luckily we've kept everything they ever given us. If you can't manage to take care of your paperwork then I wont let you managae the care of my pet.

We have been going to Dr. M, since he came to Avon Vet Clinic. He is the most awesome vet. We love the entire staff there. All American Grooming does a wonderful job with our dogs and I have never been sorry for taking them there. They also have self wash stations, which are great too.

My mother had been taking her pets here for approximately 13 years. Elvis was her Chihuahua that we all absolutely adored and was the best dog ever. Unfortunately his life was cut very short at the hands of this place. Elvis had a skin disorder in which they were giving him steroid shots to help with the itching. They specifically told her that the shots may cause diabetes but continued giving them to him about every few months instead of considering other options. I made an appointment to have my dogs teeth cleaned and an extraction back in November 2017. I was told that if I made the appointment in February, I would receive a discount as it was Dental Promotion Month. This worked out great for me since I had scheduled time off for that month. Grateful to have a vet I trust so close to home!
Had a bit of a scare over last weekend with our dog, who has been with us now for about a month. The vet is out on Saturdays, but the front desk was very reassuring and knowledgeable. She set up an appointment for us Monday morning and gave us steps for what we could do in the meantime to make our pup more comfortable. Our appointment could not have gone more smoothly. Our dog was very nervous/anxious in the lobby, but they made him feel right at home during the examination!
