I adopted my first dog by myself a couple weeks ago. My family vet is in Monrovia and since I live in Broad Ripple, I had to find a clinic closer to me. I did a bunch of research and decided to take my girl to MAAC for her first vet visit. They are so nice in there and very helpful! They answered all questions and were quick to fit me in for our second visit when my pup seemed to develop a UTI. Very happy with this clinic! Read Less

He was all fixed up and we got good info about the procedure and what to keep an eye on and stuff. He's back to his old self. I like this place. first visit, signed up for the pet care club thing (i might be misnaming it) which saves you a bit (not a ton) on 2 visits in a year. the appointment was super fast, but on second thought i don't feel like my dog was examined thoroughly. her coat was never removed, so at least half of her abdomen was not examined. additionally, i did not see the Dr or Tech look inside her mouth. once i use my next visit, if it goes similarly, i would probably look at another practice. I just rescued my dog a little over a week ago, and took him to Mass Ave Animal Clinic to get checked out/caught up on vaccines. They were very friendly, prompt and helpful. I had quite a few questions, and they answered realistically. I could tell they truly care about my dog! We started taking our Australian Shepherd, Walter, there when he was just 8 weeks old. The staff and Vets at MAAC have been absolutely awesome! They are always so excited to see Walter and have treats for him (and always ask before offering one, which I know a lot of pet parents are keen about!). We have mostly seen Dr. Ryan, and she has been nothing but helpful. The facility is clean and well-run. We will be taking him back to get neutered in a few months. Read Less

Great customer service and great care provided by the veterinarian and veterinary techs. We brought our cat into have his teeth cleaned and they were wonderful about answering all of our questions,  providing us with an estimate of the charges and ensuring our cat's health and safety. We then were able to buy the necessary prescription food for our cat and were given several options to try if that food didn't work out. We are scheduled to establish care for our dog and other cat and will be able to see another veterinarian there so we can get to know them all. They really take the time to get to know you and learn your name and your pets' names.  I highly recommend them. The only downfall is they are a bit pricey but, it seems like all pet care is pretty pricey these days. They do offer carecredit and they dip have a rewards program which is really worth it if you have more than one furbaby! Read Less

I have nothing but praise for Mass Ave Animal Clinic! They're always incredibly timely, but more importantly, genuinely care about the animals that come through the door. Each time I bring in my cat, they call and email me to make sure she was okay after her visit. My cat can be skittish in unfamiliar places, but she was right at home in the exam room and socializing with the techs! Seeing her comfortable gave me a huge sense of relief. Mass Ave Animal Clinic is the best veterinarian experience I've ever encountered. Though our cat was not a previous patient, when she started showing signs of a UTI this morning, I knew I needed to take her to a vet ASAP. Mass Ave Animal Clinic was able to see her within a couple of hours and everyone there was SO nice, and SO helpful. I called in this morning and they were able to see my sweet Shar Pei Sugar within a few hrs. The vet assistant for Dr. Emma Ryan was amazing and so gentle with Sugar. I am just beyond words and over the moon about Dr. Ryan and what she did for my sweet Sugar Bear. Sugar has an ear infection and her akin is itchy and Dr. Ryan was excited and knew what her plan of treatment was right away, and made me feel so much at ease. Edit: I am adjusting my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars. I purchased the puppy package for my new puppy which seemed like a great idea at the time. "Everything is included" I was told "even his neuter". Perfect, right? No. My account was deducted a nail trim, with out it ever happening. I was charged for 'recommended' proprocedures during the neuter. The girl who checked me in got frustrated with me and told me "I can't tell you what to do". Excuse me, but that's what I pay you to do! I am not a vet! I need YOU the PROFESSIONAL to tell me what's necessary. And it was an extra charge? Either it shoud be included in the "inclusive" price, or it's not needed. Then I was charged for a med refill I was told I requested (I didn't) and another charge with my "inclusive" microchip. The discharge was a joke, waited for 40 min, then was handed dog, wearing cone that he is too short for and it was tied around his neck with gauze. No real discussion of other methods for lick prevention even when I asked. I'm tired of driving all the way here for bad communication, extra charges and what feels like zero craps given. I just had my first appointment at this location and it was great. They gave pup a ton of treats and made her feel so comfortable. She was more relaxed than usual at a vet. They gave me a ton of information since I'm new to town and even have text message reminders for appointments. So far, really impressed. And parking wasn't bad! I expected it to be super crowded on street parking but I found a spot right away. Read Less

First visit and we were impressed!From check in, check up, and check out we (and our cat) were treated warmly and professionally. They were able to handle our cat's needs without sedation and really kept the cost down. Brandon was very knowledgeable about ways to help our cat lose weight and he was really easy to talk to while waiting for the vet. I have never seen my 7 year old Irish Setter so at ease with a Veternary office in her life. She started coming to Mass Avenue Animal clinic early this year and I am very happy with all of her visits and there have been a few! I rarely review places but I felt compelled to immediately write this after just having my first visit here with my dog. By far the best vet experience I have ever had with my pet. The staff was extremely competent and very friendly. Nicki the vet tech was incredible and very thorough. She understood my dogs lifestyle and recommended vaccines that she actually needed and we ruled out many that she did not but was previously being vaccinated for. She even helped me figure out my dogs microchip information so I could switch information. Paying in the exam room rather than out front was an amazing touch. Speaking of paying...did I mention the price?!? I paid close to $100 less than at my last vet but I still received premium care. Five stars isn't enough!!! Read Less

Mass Ave Animal Clinic is truly amazing! We started going there almost two years ago when we got our new family member, our little black lab mix rescue pup, who was 8 weeks old.They have since taken care of all of Charlie's needs, including a stomach surgery, a continuous prescription diet, and his basic vaccinations. All of the staff is extremely sweet, knowledgable, caring, and great with Charlie. We always feel very welcomed here.And on top of the excellent care you receive, their prices are VERY reasonable. We trust MAAC very, very much with our little guy - which says a lot - because I'm a crazy dog mom. We love Mass Ave AC! They are always crazy friendly, they are so flexible with scheduling, they have lots of treats for the puppers, and they have a kitty that runs the place. All of the vet techs are wonderful! They always make me feel comfortable and play with Watson. All of the vets I have met with are so knowledgeable and don't ever laugh at my silly concerns. YOU GUYS- I know most of you have heard me sing the praises of Mass Ave Animal Clinic, but they have really just gone above and beyond for me and I need you to know it. At the end of July, my dog Louie tried to OD by eating 15 days worth of one of his medicines, and I had to take him to the emergency vet. As emergency care for animals goes, it was really expensive, and for 2.5 days of care, I racked up a really large payment. However, Louie had a really adverse reaction to one of the medicines. Jordan from Mass Ave Animal Clinic called that drug company to let them know about it, and they (the drug company) offered to pay a very large portion of that bill for me. If you have a pet and you want vet that will go above and beyond for you and your furry baby, I cannot stress enough how much they have helped me just by taking the time to make a phone call. Earlier this year, my dog had a serious surgery at the VCA (had a section of his small intestine removed). He was poked and prodded so much that he started to get a little aggressive with the staff at times, so I was nervous to see how he would react to the vet and staff our first time at Mass Ave Animal Clinic, but he LOVED it! They won him over by giving him many treats. They gave him a shot and he didn't even react. The vet said he's one of the friendliest and best behaving shar peis she's ever had in there. I had a great first experience at the Mass Ave Animal Clinic! I went to another, small town, vet for the entire time that I have had my dog and she was very comfortable with the staff there, but she had reoccurring problems that the vet was not addressing. I began to look for another vet and finally settled on MAAC at the recommendation of a friend. First off, I really like the location and the space. As others have stated it's nice that they have a parking lot for people to use because of the limited parking sometimes available around Mass Ave.The staff was very friendly and since I have a more skittish dog they were nice and accommodating and helped get her into a room quickly without much of a wait. The vet tech then began to try and get to know my dog and by the end of the visit Pie was maybe even enjoying the visit. The Vet was very knowledgeable and understanding. She recommended a different type of medicine and recommended a trainer to help with some other issues. The medicine has been working and I was happy with the outcome of the visit. One great thing that I really want to point out is the price. The price of the visit, the price of the medicines, and how they take payment even is great. I always thought since I was going to a small, home town vet I was getting cheaper prices then what I would pay nearer to my apartment in Indianapolis. I was wrong, at least with MAAC. The vet visit was less than I usually paid and the medicines/vaccines were much less. They have a first time visit discount coupon on their website that you have to PRINT OFF and take in with you. The fact that you pay in the exam room and not in a crowded lobby, while also trying to control your animal is a great feature!I am happy to hopefully have found a new, permanent vet with a great staff, location, and price! Five Stars, hands down. I called them in a panic as my fur baby was open mouth breathing. They were able to get me in within an hour. They offered great directions and they even have a parking lot (which is rare near mass ave). Krista was my vet tech. She was very kind and knowledgeable. Dr. Phillips came in shortly after I arrived and recommended a blood draw and x-rays. They were able to complete both.After they diagnosed my kitty, they gave me the correct medications and explained how to administer them.You can tell that these people truly care about animals.  I was in and out within an hour and a half. They were so wonderful and put my worried mind at ease. My kitty showed signs of improvement within 24 hours and I am so thankful for that.I will definitely return and make this my residential vet! Coming from another city, I doubted I could find a vet for my dear Boudreaux cat that I loved as much as the one I left. I asked for suggestions from some locals, and many people recommended Mass Ave Animal Clinic for their affordable, high quality care. The suggestions were spot on!I was able to get an appointment after "normal business hours," which was crucial for me. Although it was on the later side, the process was not at all rushed. They even contacted my old vet on the spot to get my cat's information that I forgot to bring (oops!). Both the vet tech and the vet were personable, friendly, and informative. Although my "monster" was truly living up to his nickname, looking like a rabid raccoon when they gave him his shot, they took all of it in stride. They even brought him the in-house cat's snacks, as Boo apparently only enjoys very low quality junk food (no fancy, expensive Greenies for him!). The next day, they emailed to follow up. Their prices were fairly affordable (about $30 more than the FACE clinic, at which you cannot make an appointment and may wait 2-3 hours for services - in my opinion, totally worth it for the calm, clean environment).I also appreciate they have free parking despite being right off a busy street.
