My 15 yo dog was really sick. We thought we were going to have to put him to sleep. They were understanding and the vet didn't make us feel bad that we were considering that option. The vet checked him out carefully and said she thought we might be able to save him if we wanted to try. The first estimate was too expensive for us so my mom asked if there was a way we could save him for less. They worked with us and my dog is doing so much better! They're good people and they really care.

Noah’s was incredible. When I had to lay my sweet dog, Soph, to rest, they were so accommodating and patient and even set up the most cozy room, equipped with silk blankets for my sweet girl. They allowed us time to lay with her and mourn before and after. Everything was done simply and respectfully. We opted to have her cremated and when we picked up her ashes, they provided the SWEETEST card along with a sweet paw print of my baby girl and a lovely poem. Amazing and caring staff!

Our Vet (another provider) incorrectly prescribed a medicine that caused an allergic reaction in our elderly dog. Our furry friend began to vomit repeatedly for over an hour before we realized that something was seriously wrong. It was a friday night and we had limited options, but Noah's was somewhat nearby so we drove our dog over. They were able to do a series of tests and provide her with the correct medicines to stop the bleeding that had formed into her gut (if I'm understanding everything correctly). Our dog needed to stay overnight for her care but had made significant improvement overnight while under their care. Several days later she is back to her normal self.
We're incredibly happy with the service we received and grateful for the 24 hour schedule. It would have been a different story if we had to wait until morning. Thank you!

I went here after some blood was found in my cat's stool and this was one of the best experiences I've ever had! They were all extremely kind and helpful and my already timid and nervous cat was treated as kindly as possible and at the end, she was rubbing up on the vet's legs. They were very communicative, kind and quick! After we found out she was fine and just stress constipated, they even helped carry her and some specialty food on out to my car. I'm very pleased with how our visit went and I'm incredibly thankful for all of the work they've done. Thank you!

We called in the middle of the night because we were sure our little pug Bella was in her last few hours. The staff was so sweet on the phone gave us all the answers we needed and encouraged us to take her to the closest vet even if it was not them. We arrived at Noah's and they gave us and our little girl the best possible care and walked us gently through the whole process without being pushy but with such sincerity and their apologies for our loss. Our dog went into the vet for yet another exam and to trim some nails that were missed the last time he was in. The nail was cut and this caused bleeding.
Noah's answer to this: Wrap in a cast that cannot get wet while its pouring down rain outside. Charge extra money for antibiotics to keep any type of infection at bay and then on top of everything else they want us to come back in 3 - 5 days? Did I mention they would not curtail the bleeding until after we were forced to pay for it?
Cutting my dog and blaming it on a past error was the first mistake. However charging my wife for services after the cut was made was irresponsible and poor business practice. No we will not be coming back in 3 - 5 days. No we will not be coming back.
What we will attempt to do, is raise awareness with our friends and family about the practices that go on at Noah's and help them make a safer decision regarding pet care moving forward.

I just left Noah's (at 56th and Emerson) and my experience was phenomenal! My dog has some special needs that make vet visits very nerve-wracking for him - and for me! He needs added supports and attention and Dr. Johnson and the Vet Tech Rachel were just Amazing! They provided him with exemplary care and attention and took the time necessary to reduce his stress and anxiety. The visit was great - thanks in such large part to their efforts. They also support and allow "Happy Visits" so that your dog can gain comfort in that environment and, when we did those, all the staff loved on my dog and made us feel very welcome. A BIG thank you from me and Powder!

Very disappointing. I have been taking my collie there for 6 years and another dog 1 year before that. The emergency care they gave my collie on January 1st was good, but then they sent her home with the WRONG MEDICINE and were very rude when I noticed and brought it back the next day. I also had to call 4 times before getting the results from the last test. I only got that when I reminded them I had paid for it and they owed me the results. The doctor finally called and said this was the first time she was notified that I was waiting and there was a problem She sent me the results. The office manager finally returned my call over a week since I notified them of the wrong medicine. They did refund the cost of the last test and the medicine. but that doesn't even begin to make things right for a customer that they have had for 7 years! I paid over $1,600 dollars for this emergency visit and they refunded just over $200. Sarah, the office manager was very rude when she called me on the refund. Seriously, the wrong medicine! It could have been something that killed her! Plus when I went to get the correct medicine, the technician wasn't sure how to fill the prescription and said I might want to come back the next day as she wasn't very good at that! The doctors are good, but the rest of the staff is seriously lacking in skills, knowledge and customer relations.
So disappointed and serious questions have been raised in my mind about the care my pets have been given there in the past. What didn't I catch?

Caring, very caring. We'd gone here once for annual check ups when we first moved to Indianapolis with our cats and dog, but then found a more downtown location as we figured that would be easier for us and we hadn't created a relationship with Noah's yet.A couple of years later and a sick, tiny tiny foster kitten.... we came here. They were just so awesome. She didn't make it, but they even made a little paw print for us. I think that if we hadn't finally found a vet that we really like here in Indianapolis, Noah's would be the one. In our previous town, our vets also handled their patients' emergencies, and I was surprised to find that very few vets here do that. If you have a pet emergency, this is the place to go. And if you're looking for a new vet in the Indianapolis area, check them out! Walk in Saturdays can take a while... but it's a walk in on a Saturday, so what can you expect? And who else even ha that option?

Unfortunately I had to euthanize my daughter's guinea pig due to a tumor/mass which could not be treated. I called several vet's to do so but a limited number would perform due to a guinea pig being an "exotic" pet. When I called I provided all the appropriate information and was told to bring the little guy in. I showed up and there was confusion on how to enter into the system the cost associated with the procedure. I was told $25, the system showed a different amount, but they honored the price. Honestly, it didn't matter the cost as I wanted the animal not to suffer and wanted a humane ending to his life. We dropped him as we were told that we could only drop off and they would handle the procedure. We dropped him off around 1:30 pm and left after saying "good-bye".At 3:00 I received a phone call back from Noah's and was told that I needed to come to the office immediately because it was urgent that I signed the paperwork. I was told that they need my signed permission to handle the procedure and they could perform the procedure until I signed off. When we checked in there were 3 people at the desk and no mention of paperwork. I understand protocol and liability but it is ridiculous that not one person remembered the necessary paperwork and for a family to come back to complete when thinking their animal was already put down. I understand my daughter's pet was a rodent and probably not as high of a priority as a dog or cat but it's still someone's pet. If this was the best they could do then I'm really not impressed,

Normally I only write restaurant reviews but feel compelled to write this review, as it's important for me to let others and Noah's know about my experience with this clinic. I have a 12 year old Yorkie and an 11 year old Weimaraner. My dogs have been going to this Noah's since the day I brought them home. Additionally, as a child we always took our dogs here. I always remember Noah's being a very customer friendly clinic. The vets and techs were extremely nice, caring and truly cared about pets and people. When you walked in you knew the employees and they knew you. It felt like family. Since I can remember, this location has always had issues with scheduling and long wait times. Even with an appointment I'd wait 30 minutes before seeing a vet. They leave you sitting in the lobby and then the tiny exam room for way too long. When someone finally opens the door it's a tech asking you questions that are usually unnecessary (because the info is in the system).The tech then has to write down that information, leave the room and then finally a vet will come in 5 minutes later. This is what I dealt with for years. I knew I would always end up spending way too much time in that office even for a simple vaccination. Partly, I believe the long wait times are because they are an emergency clinic and get a lot of walk-ins but some of it is just bad service. However, I always dealt with that because the people were so nice. Unfortunately, in recent years I started noticing that the vets and techs that had been there for years started disappearing. I kept going because it was what I was used to and I still felt comfortable. However, as new vets and techs were hired the atmosphere started to change. These people were not friendly at all and seemed to only care about money. It's like these people weren't even bothering to look at charts or history. I had a vet speak to me like I was a first DAY dog owner when I once came in. Had she bothered to look in the records she'd know I've been coming to Noah's for over 20 years. I then got extremely fed up with their pricing. I started calling around and found out they were often times charging double or even triple compared to other clinics. The last straw came when I needed both my dog's teeth cleaned. Not only did I need to suddenly pay an extra $150 (per dog) for the canine flu vaccine to get their teeth cleaned, but when it was all said and done I would walk out paying almost $1,000 for cleanings...NO extractions. This is when I finally said NO MORE. I called another clinic, who got both my dogs in within a few days and they both got their teeth cleaned for around $400. Walking into that clinic, I realized I'd forgotten what it was like to have people be friendly and really care about you and your pets. I also realized even more how Noah's was taking my money. Most clinics are on a yearly exam schedule, Noah's requires every 6 months. At one time Sentinel at Noah's was close to $30 a pill, I get it now for $6-10. I could go on but I will stop. The point is, I have officially decided to take my business elsewhere. It's sad but this place isn't what it used to be.

Found an injured kitten under my wife's car after work. I live just down the road so I brought the cat here. They refused to even look at it unless I signed financial responsibility. They told me to take it to the humane society. So off I drove after a long nights work, poor baby died in my wife's arms on the way. To not even look at an injured animal should be considered neglect. Probably notHong could have been done to save a life, but probably could have eased suffering. The cat was struggling to breathe and was bleeding. Worst animal hospital I've every seen.

I am new to Indy and my beloved cat of ten years and many, many adventures, Musette fell ill very suddenly over the Christmas holiday. Not knowing where to go, I quickly searched and found that Noah's Animal Hospital was open. I called, and was told to come right in. Our wait was short, and they immediately placed her on oxygen. The vet came in and shared what info she had and encouraged an x-ray, which we had done, later explaining the results to me. Alas, there was not much they could do for her. They were incredibly compassionate, sharing options with me to transition her peacefully. They gave me time to be with her and I said my goodbyes. I agreed to have her cremated and they provided me with the details I needed to do so. It was a completely shocking, unexpected experience, and they did everything to help me cope. Approximately a week later, they sent me a kind condolence card for the loss of my Muse which was a kind and considerate gesture. I no longer have a pet, but if I should ever select another, Noah's Animal Hospital will be my preferred veterinarian home. I thank you for your kindness in a very difficult and unanticipated New Year's Day tragedy; your staff is amazing.

Our dog died while we were traveling. As he was older, we recognized he wasn't going to be with us forever but death is never easy. We loved him dearly! We contacted Noah's Animal Hospital and staff were remarkably kind and exceptionally professional. I cannot recall who we spoke to after hours (as we were devastated) but her compassion for our situation was very much so evident. It was easily arranged that Noah's would store our beloved boy and we would pick him up after we finished our travels to Wisconsin a few days later, all for a small financial deposit. It could not have been an easier process. Our beloved dog was stored (frozen) and we picked him up three days later, without incident. He was in a simple white box that was perfect for burial. We cannot thank Noah's Animal Hospital and its staff enough. Thank you for being there during one of the darkest periods in our lives. You made a really difficult situation easier.

Very reasonable costs and they work with you if you need the flexibility.

We bring our pets to Noah's when there is an after-hours emergency, and we're glad they're there, but we always experience very long waits to be seen. We've been there four or five times over the past few years. Their staff is generally very caring, but they are perpetually understaffed during emergency hours. One of our dogs had a severe case of pancreatitis with a fever of 103 and was unable to walk due to the pain, and we had to wait more than four hours for her to receive care because of other more critical emergencies. I understand that they need to triage, but since their peak hours tend to be in the after-hours emergency times, and I've heard techs explaining the long waits by saying they're understaffed, it doesn't make sense that the lack of available staff is a recurring issue. I'm also baffled by the choice of music in the exam rooms. It's a short loop of slowed-down classical music that repeats every twenty minutes or so, and its depressing and anxiety-inducing! It's the last thing I want to hear when I have a pet in trouble, and since we're usually in the exam room for over an hour, we have to hear the loop repeat several times. I know this seems like a small concern, but it makes a difference. Overall, I believe we've received quality medical care for our cats and dogs, and that's the most important thing, but there seems to be a theme of short-handedness and a busy waiting room that can cause frustration when we're there for an emergency.

Holy crap. Slow, expensive and completely unresponsive after 6 hours when I cursed (asked wtf was going on) i was then immediatelh informed by a doctor that I was banned but still did not know what was going on with my dog. About 15 minutes late, so 6:15 in, I was finally advised on the dx. Still no dog but they will be prompt to collect cash. I have been in and out of ER at Methodist faster. They explained they were not properly staffed and hence being slow.

I highly recommend the Brandywine Animal Hospital, the Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Care facility on Stop 11, and the Noah's Animal Hospital on Millersville Road to pet owners encountering sudden and serious emergencies. They, together with the oncologist at MedVet to whom they referred me, not only guided me through my cat's unexpected diagnosis and treatment for a hemangiosarcoma, but compassionately cared for us both through the final hour of euthanasia. From the young vet techs to the senior veterinary surgeons and specialists, all excelled in communication: they listened to my questions and concerns, and they replied carefully and clearly to alleviate my anxiety. They've been my vet team for many years, and they've earned my respect.

Recently had an emergency with my dog breaking out in hives over the weekend. It progressively got worse as the night went on and benedryl didn't seem to help. My dog was so uncomfortable and it was a little scary to see her in such distress. We ended up taking her to this 24 hour vet since our regular vet wouldn't be open until Monday and we couldn't wait another 2 days for some resolution. Noah's was very helpful, compassionate, and accommodating considering it was 3am in the morning. Definitely not what we wanted to do be doing in the middle of the night. They provided her a steroid shot and some steroid medication that helped alleviate some of the symptoms. We never found out what caused it but we narrowed it down between her dog food (online reviews stated that Blue Buffalo changed manufacturers recently and lots of dogs began having reactions - even pending lawsuits now and we did open a new bag of food that day) or a bug bite earlier in the day. All in all, given that this is an emergency vet, prices are higher but still reasonable so I didn't feel like we were taken advantage of by any means! Better safe than sorry so well worth the visit.

This place is awful.We brought our cat in for two different issues. The first time, she had what we suspected to be ringworm, but the vets failed to give us any specific diagnosis or medication that worked. The whole process was an expensive trail and error which left our cat in a cone for more than a month. The second event, we brought her in for frequent vomiting. My sister found live moving worms in her vomit, and called this vet who advised her to bring her in for an $80 emergency visit. The vet didn't believe my sister about the worms and wanted to do an expensive X Ray, and was perturbed when my sister refused it.Went to another vet who quickly diagnosed it as roundworm and dewormed her. She has been fine and healthy since.Honestly this vet was just an overall headache and frustration. Save your money and sanity.

I used them for about 15 years. They were expensive but I thought their care was good, they had modern technology, and were open 24 hours for emergencies. In fact I liked them so much I purchased their contract to do all bloodwork, shots, and routine exams for a year. "Know your costs" they advertised. 2 months after purchasing this contract they send me a letter saying they have decided to require more shots but the cost is on me. When I reminded them we had a contract, they denied it was a contract. They said they'd discuss with practice management and get back to me. The practice administrator, Crystal, was rude and condescending. When she did call me back she informed me I was no longer welcome as a client because I accused them of breaching their contract. So now I cannot even visit the vet who has cared for my dogs since they came to me. The business owners here are dishonest and disrespectful people. Beware that they may cut you off from your vet if you call out their deceptive practices.

They try to help your pet without a lot of expense and I'm so glad to see a vet office that cares about the animal. This office has been such a life saver I think we may become permanent clients!!! I absolutely will never bring my pet into this show called veterinarian hospital. There would rather euthanize your dog then actually do something for it or give you advice on what you can do for your dog this dog was not at all where it needed to be euthanized. That's the only thing that they kept talking about was euthanizing the dog. And the staff was very very very rude and also the only thing that they seemed really concerned with was not with all the puppies but was with the money and the payment that they were going to be getting for the services provided we all know that when we go into veterinarian clinics and veterinarian hospitals that we're going to have to pay for it. But you should not be treated rudely and you should not be told that your animal needs to be euthanized when it doesn't and you also should not be treated as if you just walk through the door and the only things they see are money signs and they don't care about your animal! Never take your animal to this sick disgusting place! I'm putting you guys all over Facebook I'm obviously on Yelp doing a review and I will not stop I'm an animal activist and places like you actually need to be closed down!

i am so impressed with this animal hospital.i have never found a place for my dogs with such friendly warm and welcoming staff. My dog Tilly is currently at Noahs after having emergency surgery last night and i have been able to talk to the doctor multiple times since last night. She had called to let me know when they were starting surgery, she called during surgery to "ok" things with me, and she called after surgery to let me know how Tilly was doing. They encourage visits while your pet is staying with them during recovery which i think is awesome! i feel comfortable leaving my baby here because they do so much to make sure we are all on the same page ... and i like knowing i am in the loop too.this is an amazing place to take your pet... Noahs truly is a diamond in the rough! i feel very lucky to have found this 24 hour emergency vet.

A complete racket! They prey on your concern and love for your pet. After a very cursory look at your pet they recommend a long list of costly and unnecessary procedures. If you don't seem willing to agree to all of their recommendations they magically come up with a second less costly list of recommendations (but still very long list and costly). This is my second experience with Noah's after-hour care and I will never go back. Why can't they just act like a regular vet? Why can't they examine your pet and provide treatment for your pet like your vet would and then charge twice or even three times the amount? I'd be happy to pay extra but the hard-sell fear-tactics they use are absolutely unacceptable and unethical. It is impossible to trust anything you are told from the moment you walk in there. Getting the maximum amount of money out of your pocket is their only objective.

Terrible experience. The technician didn't have any people skills. We were there for 1 hour, until Dr. Pailer could see our golden retriever. She recommended x-Rays (potential blockage), but it took 2 extra hours to get those taken. The first time she saw our dog she said he was dehydrated, yet 2 hours later he hadn't received anything to make that better. While waiting, there was no staff to who we could ask questions. We told them we would leave and find another hospital, since we weren't receiving any attention, but then when faced with the threat of not receiving that paycheck....woah! All the sudden they had all the time in the world for us. The technician was not knowledgable, . They didn't show care and seemed they only cared about the money they were going to receive. Definitely not coming back here. Find another 24 hour vet to go to.

I understand that many pet owners have had positive experiences at Noah's, but I will be unable to join that group. I took my mixed breed dog into their facility after he'd had 3 grand mal seizures in 24 hours. He had no history of any seizure activity. Rather than giving me all the possible options and their respective prices, they only offered me the most expensive treatment. When I explained that I couldn't afford that, they suggested I get a loan for the amount. When I told them that I want comfortable going into debt there was a sense of judgment, like my comment was just barbaric. Then began the used car salesman-like game of switcheroo between the vet and the vet tech. The vet would come in and explain a different level of treatment, then the tech would come back and let us know the cost, which each time would be only slightly lower than before. After quickly tiring of this game, we reluctantly agreed to a $50 phone call to some poison hotline only to discover what we already suspected: our dog was probably NOT poisoned! That, coupled with the $100 free just for coming meant we were out $150 abs absolutely nowhere in getting out dog treated. No meds were offered, nothing that would cost less than an additional $500 was ever offered. The fact that another couple was in an open room with their dog who was clearly passing away (instead of letting them go somewhere private) didn't help. My dog had 4 more seizures throughout that night. The next day we ended up taking our dog to a neurologist who gave all options and price points up front and explicitly stated that not choosing the "Rolls Royce" treatment didn't mean we were bad pet owners. He let my husband and me discuss what we'd like to do in private. We left with medication and instructions for treating my doggie going forward. Night and day compared to Noah's!

I took my dog there for an ear infection and some other pains that he was having about a month ago. After they checked him out, they also said he had some teeth that needed to removed. The vet bill came to 600 plus dollars. I took him to his regular vet for a follow up and they said some of those tests weren't needed. After his dental cleaning, they said his teeth were fine He has no rotten teeth. They were going to charge me $1000 to remove those so called teeth but really just clean them. Never going back!!!!

Awesome! They were the sweetest people and gladly held my new puppy while I filled out some forms. They introduced themselves and went over all the offers for the puppy's shots and check ups. I came in during walk in hours and they took us right away! What A genius idea walk in hours for a vets office, another woman walked in and apologised saying she didn't have an appointment and they told her no need to apologise its walk in hours. My pup didn't even noticed the shots he got. Looks like going to the vet will be a lot easier than I expected.

Brandy had a major surgery here and 8 weeks later she couldn't be in better shape.My 4 year old boxer mix needed the TTA surgery. She had a 90% tear in her right knee. Noah's Animal Hospital was recommended as one of the hospitals we should call and it was in our neighborhood. Noah's Animal Hospital has a YouTube video with their doctors explaining how successful the surgery could be, even for large dogs, so we decided to sign Brandy up for her TTA surgery here. Brandy was in such good care at Noah's. Not only did she do well with the surgery, but each follow-up appointment was free of charge (we had 3 of them) and the information they gave us on her medicine and exercises was very easy to understand and gave us confidence that we could take care of our post-op pup.If I need to take my dogs to the vet, I'll be going to Noah's Animal Hospital over any other local vet.

My 15 yo dog was really sick. We thought we were going to have to put him to sleep. They were understanding and the vet didn't make us feel bad that we were considering that option. The vet checked him out carefully and said she thought we might be able to save him if we wanted to try. The first estimate was too expensive for us so my mom asked if there was a way we could save him for less. They worked with us and my dog is doing so much better! They're good people and they really care.

Noah’s was incredible. When I had to lay my sweet dog, Soph, to rest, they were so accommodating and patient and even set up the most cozy room, equipped with silk blankets for my sweet girl. They allowed us time to lay with her and mourn before and after. Everything was done simply and respectfully. We opted to have her cremated and when we picked up her ashes, they provided the SWEETEST card along with a sweet paw print of my baby girl and a lovely poem. Amazing and caring staff!

Our Vet (another provider) incorrectly prescribed a medicine that caused an allergic reaction in our elderly dog. Our furry friend began to vomit repeatedly for over an hour before we realized that something was seriously wrong. It was a friday night and we had limited options, but Noah's was somewhat nearby so we drove our dog over. They were able to do a series of tests and provide her with the correct medicines to stop the bleeding that had formed into her gut (if I'm understanding everything correctly). Our dog needed to stay overnight for her care but had made significant improvement overnight while under their care. Several days later she is back to her normal self.
We're incredibly happy with the service we received and grateful for the 24 hour schedule. It would have been a different story if we had to wait until morning. Thank you!

I went here after some blood was found in my cat's stool and this was one of the best experiences I've ever had! They were all extremely kind and helpful and my already timid and nervous cat was treated as kindly as possible and at the end, she was rubbing up on the vet's legs. They were very communicative, kind and quick! After we found out she was fine and just stress constipated, they even helped carry her and some specialty food on out to my car. I'm very pleased with how our visit went and I'm incredibly thankful for all of the work they've done. Thank you!

We called in the middle of the night because we were sure our little pug Bella was in her last few hours. The staff was so sweet on the phone gave us all the answers we needed and encouraged us to take her to the closest vet even if it was not them. We arrived at Noah's and they gave us and our little girl the best possible care and walked us gently through the whole process without being pushy but with such sincerity and their apologies for our loss. I would highly recommend them. Thank you to all the staff at Noah's for everything tonight!

Our dog went into the vet for yet another exam and to trim some nails that were missed the last time he was in. The nail was cut and this caused bleeding.
Noah's answer to this: Wrap in a cast that cannot get wet while its pouring down rain outside. Charge extra money for antibiotics to keep any type of infection at bay and then on top of everything else they want us to come back in 3 - 5 days? Did I mention they would not curtail the bleeding until after we were forced to pay for it?
Cutting my dog and blaming it on a past error was the first mistake. However charging my wife for services after the cut was made was irresponsible and poor business practice. No we will not be coming back in 3 - 5 days. No we will not be coming back.
What we will attempt to do, is raise awareness with our friends and family about the practices that go on at Noah's and help them make a safer decision regarding pet care moving forward.

I just left Noah's (at 56th and Emerson) and my experience was phenomenal! My dog has some special needs that make vet visits very nerve-wracking for him - and for me! He needs added supports and attention and Dr. Johnson and the Vet Tech Rachel were just Amazing! They provided him with exemplary care and attention and took the time necessary to reduce his stress and anxiety. The visit was great - thanks in such large part to their efforts. They also support and allow "Happy Visits" so that your dog can gain comfort in that environment and, when we did those, all the staff loved on my dog and made us feel very welcome. A BIG thank you from me and Powder!

Very disappointing. I have been taking my collie there for 6 years and another dog 1 year before that. The emergency care they gave my collie on January 1st was good, but then they sent her home with the WRONG MEDICINE and were very rude when I noticed and brought it back the next day. I also had to call 4 times before getting the results from the last test. I only got that when I reminded them I had paid for it and they owed me the results. The doctor finally called and said this was the first time she was notified that I was waiting and there was a problem She sent me the results. The office manager finally returned my call over a week since I notified them of the wrong medicine. They did refund the cost of the last test and the medicine. but that doesn't even begin to make things right for a customer that they have had for 7 years! I paid over $1,600 dollars for this emergency visit and they refunded just over $200. Sarah, the office manager was very rude when she called me on the refund. Seriously, the wrong medicine! It could have been something that killed her! Plus when I went to get the correct medicine, the technician wasn't sure how to fill the prescription and said I might want to come back the next day as she wasn't very good at that! The doctors are good, but the rest of the staff is seriously lacking in skills, knowledge and customer relations.
So disappointed and serious questions have been raised in my mind about the care my pets have been given there in the past. What didn't I catch?

Caring, very caring. We'd gone here once for annual check ups when we first moved to Indianapolis with our cats and dog, but then found a more downtown location as we figured that would be easier for us and we hadn't created a relationship with Noah's yet.A couple of years later and a sick, tiny tiny foster kitten.... we came here. They were just so awesome. She didn't make it, but they even made a little paw print for us. I think that if we hadn't finally found a vet that we really like here in Indianapolis, Noah's would be the one. In our previous town, our vets also handled their patients' emergencies, and I was surprised to find that very few vets here do that. If you have a pet emergency, this is the place to go. And if you're looking for a new vet in the Indianapolis area, check them out! Walk in Saturdays can take a while... but it's a walk in on a Saturday, so what can you expect? And who else even ha that option?

Unfortunately I had to euthanize my daughter's guinea pig due to a tumor/mass which could not be treated. I called several vet's to do so but a limited number would perform due to a guinea pig being an "exotic" pet. When I called I provided all the appropriate information and was told to bring the little guy in. I showed up and there was confusion on how to enter into the system the cost associated with the procedure. I was told $25, the system showed a different amount, but they honored the price. Honestly, it didn't matter the cost as I wanted the animal not to suffer and wanted a humane ending to his life. We dropped him as we were told that we could only drop off and they would handle the procedure. We dropped him off around 1:30 pm and left after saying "good-bye".At 3:00 I received a phone call back from Noah's and was told that I needed to come to the office immediately because it was urgent that I signed the paperwork. I was told that they need my signed permission to handle the procedure and they could perform the procedure until I signed off. When we checked in there were 3 people at the desk and no mention of paperwork. I understand protocol and liability but it is ridiculous that not one person remembered the necessary paperwork and for a family to come back to complete when thinking their animal was already put down. I understand my daughter's pet was a rodent and probably not as high of a priority as a dog or cat but it's still someone's pet. If this was the best they could do then I'm really not impressed,

Normally I only write restaurant reviews but feel compelled to write this review, as it's important for me to let others and Noah's know about my experience with this clinic. I have a 12 year old Yorkie and an 11 year old Weimaraner. My dogs have been going to this Noah's since the day I brought them home. Additionally, as a child we always took our dogs here. I always remember Noah's being a very customer friendly clinic. The vets and techs were extremely nice, caring and truly cared about pets and people. When you walked in you knew the employees and they knew you. It felt like family. Since I can remember, this location has always had issues with scheduling and long wait times. Even with an appointment I'd wait 30 minutes before seeing a vet. They leave you sitting in the lobby and then the tiny exam room for way too long. When someone finally opens the door it's a tech asking you questions that are usually unnecessary (because the info is in the system).The tech then has to write down that information, leave the room and then finally a vet will come in 5 minutes later. This is what I dealt with for years. I knew I would always end up spending way too much time in that office even for a simple vaccination. Partly, I believe the long wait times are because they are an emergency clinic and get a lot of walk-ins but some of it is just bad service. However, I always dealt with that because the people were so nice. Unfortunately, in recent years I started noticing that the vets and techs that had been there for years started disappearing. I kept going because it was what I was used to and I still felt comfortable. However, as new vets and techs were hired the atmosphere started to change. These people were not friendly at all and seemed to only care about money. It's like these people weren't even bothering to look at charts or history. I had a vet speak to me like I was a first DAY dog owner when I once came in. Had she bothered to look in the records she'd know I've been coming to Noah's for over 20 years. I then got extremely fed up with their pricing. I started calling around and found out they were often times charging double or even triple compared to other clinics. The last straw came when I needed both my dog's teeth cleaned. Not only did I need to suddenly pay an extra $150 (per dog) for the canine flu vaccine to get their teeth cleaned, but when it was all said and done I would walk out paying almost $1,000 for cleanings...NO extractions. This is when I finally said NO MORE. I called another clinic, who got both my dogs in within a few days and they both got their teeth cleaned for around $400. Walking into that clinic, I realized I'd forgotten what it was like to have people be friendly and really care about you and your pets. I also realized even more how Noah's was taking my money. Most clinics are on a yearly exam schedule, Noah's requires every 6 months. At one time Sentinel at Noah's was close to $30 a pill, I get it now for $6-10. I could go on but I will stop. The point is, I have officially decided to take my business elsewhere. It's sad but this place isn't what it used to be.

They told me to take it to the humane society. So off I drove after a long nights work, poor baby died in my wife's arms on the way. To not even look at an injured animal should be considered neglect. Probably notHong could have been done to save a life, but probably could have eased suffering. The cat was struggling to breathe and was bleeding. Worst animal hospital I've every seen.

I am new to Indy and my beloved cat of ten years and many, many adventures, Musette fell ill very suddenly over the Christmas holiday. Not knowing where to go, I quickly searched and found that Noah's Animal Hospital was open. I called, and was told to come right in. Our wait was short, and they immediately placed her on oxygen. The vet came in and shared what info she had and encouraged an x-ray, which we had done, later explaining the results to me. Alas, there was not much they could do for her. They were incredibly compassionate, sharing options with me to transition her peacefully. They gave me time to be with her and I said my goodbyes. I agreed to have her cremated and they provided me with the details I needed to do so. It was a completely shocking, unexpected experience, and they did everything to help me cope. Approximately a week later, they sent me a kind condolence card for the loss of my Muse which was a kind and considerate gesture. I no longer have a pet, but if I should ever select another, Noah's Animal Hospital will be my preferred veterinarian home. I thank you for your kindness in a very difficult and unanticipated New Year's Day tragedy; your staff is amazing.

Our dog died while we were traveling. As he was older, we recognized he wasn't going to be with us forever but death is never easy. We loved him dearly! We contacted Noah's Animal Hospital and staff were remarkably kind and exceptionally professional. I cannot recall who we spoke to after hours (as we were devastated) but her compassion for our situation was very much so evident. It was easily arranged that Noah's would store our beloved boy and we would pick him up after we finished our travels to Wisconsin a few days later, all for a small financial deposit. It could not have been an easier process. Our beloved dog was stored (frozen) and we picked him up three days later, without incident. He was in a simple white box that was perfect for burial. We cannot thank Noah's Animal Hospital and its staff enough. Thank you for being there during one of the darkest periods in our lives. You made a really difficult situation easier.

We bring our pets to Noah's when there is an after-hours emergency, and we're glad they're there, but we always experience very long waits to be seen. We've been there four or five times over the past few years. Their staff is generally very caring, but they are perpetually understaffed during emergency hours. One of our dogs had a severe case of pancreatitis with a fever of 103 and was unable to walk due to the pain, and we had to wait more than four hours for her to receive care because of other more critical emergencies. I understand that they need to triage, but since their peak hours tend to be in the after-hours emergency times, and I've heard techs explaining the long waits by saying they're understaffed, it doesn't make sense that the lack of available staff is a recurring issue. I'm also baffled by the choice of music in the exam rooms. It's a short loop of slowed-down classical music that repeats every twenty minutes or so, and its depressing and anxiety-inducing! It's the last thing I want to hear when I have a pet in trouble, and since we're usually in the exam room for over an hour, we have to hear the loop repeat several times. I know this seems like a small concern, but it makes a difference. Overall, I believe we've received quality medical care for our cats and dogs, and that's the most important thing, but there seems to be a theme of short-handedness and a busy waiting room that can cause frustration when we're there for an emergency.

Slow, expensive and completely unresponsive after 6 hours when I cursed (asked wtf was going on) i was then immediatelh informed by a doctor that I was banned but still did not know what was going on with my dog. About 15 minutes late, so 6:15 in, I was finally advised on the dx. Still no dog but they will be prompt to collect cash. I have been in and out of ER at Methodist faster. They explained they were not properly staffed and hence being slow.

I highly recommend the Brandywine Animal Hospital, the Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Care facility on Stop 11, and the Noah's Animal Hospital on Millersville Road to pet owners encountering sudden and serious emergencies. They, together with the oncologist at MedVet to whom they referred me, not only guided me through my cat's unexpected diagnosis and treatment for a hemangiosarcoma, but compassionately cared for us both through the final hour of euthanasia. From the young vet techs to the senior veterinary surgeons and specialists, all excelled in communication: they listened to my questions and concerns, and they replied carefully and clearly to alleviate my anxiety. They've been my vet team for many years, and they've earned my respect.

Recently had an emergency with my dog breaking out in hives over the weekend. It progressively got worse as the night went on and benedryl didn't seem to help. My dog was so uncomfortable and it was a little scary to see her in such distress. We ended up taking her to this 24 hour vet since our regular vet wouldn't be open until Monday and we couldn't wait another 2 days for some resolution. Noah's was very helpful, compassionate, and accommodating considering it was 3am in the morning. Definitely not what we wanted to do be doing in the middle of the night. They provided her a steroid shot and some steroid medication that helped alleviate some of the symptoms. We never found out what caused it but we narrowed it down between her dog food (online reviews stated that Blue Buffalo changed manufacturers recently and lots of dogs began having reactions - even pending lawsuits now and we did open a new bag of food that day) or a bug bite earlier in the day. All in all, given that this is an emergency vet, prices are higher but still reasonable so I didn't feel like we were taken advantage of by any means! Better safe than sorry so well worth the visit.

This place is awful.We brought our cat in for two different issues. The first time, she had what we suspected to be ringworm, but the vets failed to give us any specific diagnosis or medication that worked. The whole process was an expensive trail and error which left our cat in a cone for more than a month. The second event, we brought her in for frequent vomiting. My sister found live moving worms in her vomit, and called this vet who advised her to bring her in for an $80 emergency visit. The vet didn't believe my sister about the worms and wanted to do an expensive X Ray, and was perturbed when my sister refused it.Went to another vet who quickly diagnosed it as roundworm and dewormed her. She has been fine and healthy since.Honestly this vet was just an overall headache and frustration. Save your money and sanity.

I used them for about 15 years. They were expensive but I thought their care was good, they had modern technology, and were open 24 hours for emergencies. In fact I liked them so much I purchased their contract to do all bloodwork, shots, and routine exams for a year. "Know your costs" they advertised. 2 months after purchasing this contract they send me a letter saying they have decided to require more shots but the cost is on me. When I reminded them we had a contract, they denied it was a contract. They said they'd discuss with practice management and get back to me. The practice administrator, Crystal, was rude and condescending. When she did call me back she informed me I was no longer welcome as a client because I accused them of breaching their contract. So now I cannot even visit the vet who has cared for my dogs since they came to me. The business owners here are dishonest and disrespectful people. Beware that they may cut you off from your vet if you call out their deceptive practices.

There would rather euthanize your dog then actually do something for it or give you advice on what you can do for your dog this dog was not at all where it needed to be euthanized. That's the only thing that they kept talking about was euthanizing the dog. And the staff was very very very rude and also the only thing that they seemed really concerned with was not with all the puppies but was with the money and the payment that they were going to be getting for the services provided we all know that when we go into veterinarian clinics and veterinarian hospitals that we're going to have to pay for it. But you should not be treated rudely and you should not be told that your animal needs to be euthanized when it doesn't and you also should not be treated as if you just walk through the door and the only things they see are money signs and they don't care about your animal! Never take your animal to this sick disgusting place! I'm putting you guys all over Facebook I'm obviously on Yelp doing a review and I will not stop I'm an animal activist and places like you actually need to be closed down!

i am so impressed with this animal hospital.i have never found a place for my dogs with such friendly warm and welcoming staff. My dog Tilly is currently at Noahs after having emergency surgery last night and i have been able to talk to the doctor multiple times since last night. She had called to let me know when they were starting surgery, she called during surgery to "ok" things with me, and she called after surgery to let me know how Tilly was doing. They encourage visits while your pet is staying with them during recovery which i think is awesome! i feel comfortable leaving my baby here because they do so much to make sure we are all on the same page ... and i like knowing i am in the loop too.this is an amazing place to take your pet... Noahs truly is a diamond in the rough! i feel very lucky to have found this 24 hour emergency vet.

A complete racket! They prey on your concern and love for your pet. After a very cursory look at your pet they recommend a long list of costly and unnecessary procedures. If you don't seem willing to agree to all of their recommendations they magically come up with a second less costly list of recommendations (but still very long list and costly). This is my second experience with Noah's after-hour care and I will never go back. Why can't they just act like a regular vet? Why can't they examine your pet and provide treatment for your pet like your vet would and then charge twice or even three times the amount? I'd be happy to pay extra but the hard-sell fear-tactics they use are absolutely unacceptable and unethical. It is impossible to trust anything you are told from the moment you walk in there. Getting the maximum amount of money out of your pocket is their only objective.

Terrible experience. The technician didn't have any people skills. We were there for 1 hour, until Dr. Pailer could see our golden retriever. She recommended x-Rays (potential blockage), but it took 2 extra hours to get those taken. The first time she saw our dog she said he was dehydrated, yet 2 hours later he hadn't received anything to make that better. While waiting, there was no staff to who we could ask questions. We told them we would leave and find another hospital, since we weren't receiving any attention, but then when faced with the threat of not receiving that paycheck....woah! All the sudden they had all the time in the world for us. The technician was not knowledgable, . They didn't show care and seemed they only cared about the money they were going to receive. Definitely not coming back here. Find another 24 hour vet to go to.

I understand that many pet owners have had positive experiences at Noah's, but I will be unable to join that group. I took my mixed breed dog into their facility after he'd had 3 grand mal seizures in 24 hours. He had no history of any seizure activity. Rather than giving me all the possible options and their respective prices, they only offered me the most expensive treatment. When I explained that I couldn't afford that, they suggested I get a loan for the amount. When I told them that I want comfortable going into debt there was a sense of judgment, like my comment was just barbaric. Then began the used car salesman-like game of switcheroo between the vet and the vet tech. The vet would come in and explain a different level of treatment, then the tech would come back and let us know the cost, which each time would be only slightly lower than before. After quickly tiring of this game, we reluctantly agreed to a $50 phone call to some poison hotline only to discover what we already suspected: our dog was probably NOT poisoned! That, coupled with the $100 free just for coming meant we were out $150 abs absolutely nowhere in getting out dog treated. No meds were offered, nothing that would cost less than an additional $500 was ever offered. The fact that another couple was in an open room with their dog who was clearly passing away (instead of letting them go somewhere private) didn't help. My dog had 4 more seizures throughout that night. The next day we ended up taking our dog to a neurologist who gave all options and price points up front and explicitly stated that not choosing the "Rolls Royce" treatment didn't mean we were bad pet owners. He let my husband and me discuss what we'd like to do in private. We left with medication and instructions for treating my doggie going forward. Night and day compared to Noah's!

I took my dog there for an ear infection and some other pains that he was having about a month ago. After they checked him out, they also said he had some teeth that needed to removed. The vet bill came to 600 plus dollars. I took him to his regular vet for a follow up and they said some of those tests weren't needed. After his dental cleaning, they said his teeth were fine He has no rotten teeth. They were going to charge me $1000 to remove those so called teeth but really just clean them. Never going back!!!!

Awesome! They were the sweetest people and gladly held my new puppy while I filled out some forms. They introduced themselves and went over all the offers for the puppy's shots and check ups. I came in during walk in hours and they took us right away! What A genius idea walk in hours for a vets office, another woman walked in and apologised saying she didn't have an appointment and they told her no need to apologise its walk in hours. My pup didn't even noticed the shots he got. Looks like going to the vet will be a lot easier than I expected.

Brandy had a major surgery here and 8 weeks later she couldn't be in better shape.My 4 year old boxer mix needed the TTA surgery. She had a 90% tear in her right knee. Noah's Animal Hospital was recommended as one of the hospitals we should call and it was in our neighborhood. Noah's Animal Hospital has a YouTube video with their doctors explaining how successful the surgery could be, even for large dogs, so we decided to sign Brandy up for her TTA surgery here. Brandy was in such good care at Noah's. Not only did she do well with the surgery, but each follow-up appointment was free of charge (we had 3 of them) and the information they gave us on her medicine and exercises was very easy to understand and gave us confidence that we could take care of our post-op pup.If I need to take my dogs to the vet, I'll be going to Noah's Animal Hospital over any other local vet.
