Kayla Little, I am sorry for your experience. ...truly. With that being said, I have NEVER had a vet email me personally every 2-3 days asking for pictures of my dog's nails, progress, and overall comfort because he is in pain. I FINALLY got a diagnosis after 2-1/2 years (all in other states.. Yes, we are frequent movers as well) with nothing other than "he has a split nail". Dr. Roach was so wise to say, "I can't do find the problem (after only 6 months and MILLIONS of trials for minimal $ damage as possible)....let's get someone else involved". She referred me to a specialist. Expensive for the dermatologist? Again, yes. Worth it?.... I've been followed home by 4 different people, from 3 different vets in 3 different states, literally, pulling in my driveway, wanting my dog. You tell me..... Obviously not only in my 'mother eyes', but my Ralph is very special. He is a living testament to the dedication of Dr. Roach, the business manager, Tom, who called 5 different places and gave me numerous prescription discount programs to try, and THEN asked if it was okay for HIM to CALL ME BACK after 9 P.M??? ...... when he was done with work. Who does that??? I challenge you to find a more dedicated group of vet techs, dr.s and a network that truly cares as much. If you do, please let me know. I will send their information to GA, SC, MS and FL because God knows, they could use some down there. As for Noah's on Sunnyside Rd. .... I'm keeping them as close as I can. Our dog, Tex, is a patient at the Noah's clinic in Wheaton, IL, but we were in Indianapolis for the Thanksgiving holiday when he needed some help. Tom coordinated everything with our vet, their vet and staff and we got in immediately. The attention and care Tex received along with the peace of mind we received can't be beat. I am very irritated with this place. My dog had an allergic reaction on his paws from grass. Medication was prescribed. Come to find out, this is a brand new medication that the vet admitted to knowing nothing about and just wanted to "give it a try." My dog then developed an even worse allergic reaction all over his body from the experimental medication. The hives were making his hair fall off in patches and he was clearly very uncomfortable. I went back yet again to address... the hives and they had no remorse for prescribing an unknown medication that caused my dog harm. The vet told me he had no idea what was going on with my dog and he wanted to experiment (yet again) with some skin scraping. All in all, it sounds like they have no idea what they're doing. The staff and services provided at Noah's caring hands are five stars. I have taken my animals to the Geist location for many many years and have always been treated well and, more importantly, our animals have as well. I most recently have taken on the responsibility of a bull terrier puppy. He is high energy, full of personality, and a complete maniac and he LOVES the staff at Caring Hands. They also love him in return. We had a scare two weeks ago in which our little bully ate a squeaker and had to undergo surgery to remove it. The surgery was performed at the 24 emergency clinic and then we used Caring Hands as our post operation resource. They were an incredible support to us and made us feel 100% confident in the care our dog was receiving. They patiently answered my questions and concerns on a daily basis, looked at my dog's incision daily, and educated us on the proper steps needed to get him to full recovery. All with smiles and genuine caring for our little maniac :) I have recommended Caring Hands to many of my friends in the past and will continue to do so in the future. I wish I could give this place zero stars honestly. I am writing this review after the horrible experienced I just had at this vet clinic a few hours ago. Being an animal person that has worked for many vet clinics and has been to various vet offices around the country, (due to moving a lot) I have never been treated so poorly by a fellow animal lover. I brought my dog in for a simple nail trim today and that was it. He is pretty fussy with nail trims but mostly just squirms a lot and it can be hard to do by myself. So I decided to pay to get it done this time by some professionals. When I first arrived I was greeted by a very nice vet tech. She was very sweet and took me into the room. No problems there. The next tech that came in was by far the most disrespectful women I have ever came across in the animal community. She accused me of not keeping my dog up to date on regular vet visits or vaccines. This will now have been the 2nd time I have brought him there and they have "lost" his vaccine records and accused me of not keeping him up to date. She then accused me of not bringing him in for a check up in over two years when I had just brought him in a few months ago for a dental, pre-surgical blood work, and to evaluate a tumor on his eye. She insisted they had no record of that so I must be mistaken or I was at the wrong vet clinic. This vet clinic is two minutes from my house so I am pretty sure I know what vet clinic I take him too. She then proceeds to take him back to do his nails. She is gone for MAYBE 3 minutes and then brings him back saying he was out of control and too stressed to do it so I need to come back another day. She then says I need to put him on meds next time I bring him back to the clinic. I have brought him to this clinic multiple times and he has never once acted out aggressively or done anything to a person or another animal in his entire life that would ever suggest that he needs to be put on meds for his "behavior". After this she then tells me I still have to pay for the nail trim because they were able to clip one or two nails. She then walks me out of the place guarding other dogs from my dog like he was going to attack any minute. My dog didn't even notice the other animals or humans like he does every time he enters that building. I was in tears at this point and tried to explained to her after we get the door that I didn't understand why she had to do that since he rarely notices other dogs. Before I even finished she responded with a short and sarcastic "okay" and then she pulled the clinic doors shut behind me. I was mortified and will never take him back there again. Working in the animal community I understand that animals can act differently behind doors away from their owners. But in the 6 yrs he has been alive he has never hurt or even tried to be aggressive to another animal or human. I deserved more of an explanation than "He was stressed" and then kick us out of the door like we were monsters. This tech might have been having a bad day and was not wanting to do his nail trim but we should never have been treated that poorly. Read Less

This place is always busy, but their boarding for cats is pretty fantastic and inexpensive. It's a bit of a drive if you live in Indy, but it's worth the price, especially if you have a cat that gets sick a lot, like ours. Clean facilities, groomer and boarding on site, and a large waiting area where dogs and cats can be separated. Also, they have coffee for clients and large, public restrooms. Tito has been going to Noah's for all of his 6+ years. All of his exams, medications, grooming and boarding--all have been done at Noah's. The past two times I've taken him to board at Caring Hands, the front office staff have been less than friendly. This past time the young woman who checked Tito in was haughty--almost rude. She did her own research, contacted outside sources, got all of his paperwork in order, and she and Danny acted as liaisons with our pet moving company, answering emails and phone calls with questions I couldn't answer. Just a week ago I was faced with the tough decision of putting my beloved chihuahua Claire to sleep. Having never gone through anything like that before, I contacted Tom and he eloquently described the euthanasia process to me. Even though it was still the toughest day of my life, knowing what to expect made it a little easier. The doctor was extremely compassionate, as was the tech. I sobbed like a baby through everything but they were so kind and gentle with both myself and Claire. It was such a peaceful passing and I left feeling like I made the right choice. I read below that someone said they try to upsale their clients but I can honestly say that I felt no pressure whatsoever. They actually credited me for the $54 wellness exam that I had already agreed to pay. How often does that happen? And there were several options depending upon your fiscal status. I never once felt like money was priority, it was all about my sweet 16 year old girl. They use scare tactics to get you to give your dog a vaccine he doesn't need. When you tell them you don't have $500 for a medication, they don't offer alternatives. Then they keep selling more stuff after you've told them you're broke. Unless your dog is sick already, their care package plan is a waste of money. I've lost money on it. I'm looking for a new place if anyone has suggestions. I need someone who cares about my dog. Read Less

I originally took my dog here in 3/2015 because of health issues and it was close to where I lived. At his original check up I told them he had what seemed like growth under his neck, he walked flat on his front and back paws and some other minor issues he was having. I was told that he had Osteoarthritis and thyroid issues and would need his blood worked checked until certain levels would be reached. The blood worked cost $99 each time and I did not have the money to do it as frequently as they wanted. I was told by their own staff member to have it done when I could. I never refused any service they offered, I just would do it at a later time. His levels finally became ok in November 2015, by now he was having issues with urinating in the house and breathing issues which I made them aware. The only thing I was told in November was that he might have a slight heart murmur and at his checkup exam in March 2016 they would look at it. I again had to have blood work done in order to get his pain medicine and again mentioned his constant urinating, but nothing was done. When I called on 3/22 to get a refill I was told that I needed to have his check up done prior to getting refills(mind you I had just done blood work less than two months ago) I told them I would not be getting the check up done right then, but would do it a bit later and there should be no reason he could not get his refills. This entire time my dog had a growth in his stomach and not once did they even acknowledge that.  I did what I should have done months ago and took him to the Noah's in Carmel where my brother takes his pets. Within one visit, less than an hour, Dr. Kirsch had done a simple Xray that showed the growth in his stomach was pushing against all his organs and spleen. At this point the only option was to euthanize him :(  When I look back at Noah's Caring Hands at Geist I realize their only concern was money. My family has always taken our pets to Noahs(Emerson) and received outstanding care. It was and is very disheartening knowing that my dog may have had a few more months or even years if they had been more about his overall health rather than trying to milk me for money. I even wrote the manager of the facility,Thomas Dock, to tell him my issues and concerns and he replied back that "his staff was not incorrect in the discussions about care for my dog made and that he would be glad to offer any hospice advice."   I was beyond hurt because at no time was hospice or even going down that path ever mentioned to me at any visits while at NCHAH@G.  I would never recommend Noah's Caring Hands Animal Hospital at Geist to anyone!!!   However, I do thank and appreciate Dr. Kirsch for her caring and kindness and would recommend Noah's Animal Hospital in Carmel because they are about your pet's well being rather than your wallet. This is our vet of choice. Close to home, but also great people. When our Husky had a random seizure they went above and beyond. When she had cataracts at a young age they took extra time with her to make sure there wasnt anything worse. Every time they do an exceptional job and really care about her whole being, not just what we are there for specifically. I had to take my very sick dog in to be euthanized, and I was just heart broken. We, my dog and I, we're treated with dignity and empathy. In our time of need I was grateful to be seen quickly, treated compassionately and allowed to be with my baby til I was ready to go. The staff is great and the location is just around the corner from my house, which makes anxious car rides a breeze! They have great rooms for cats, so they can look out the window. Noah's Caring Hands Animal Hospital at Geist is my go to vets office for my cats. The location is great and the staff is always helpful and friendly. They have some of the best hours that allow for after work and Saturday appointments, which can be tough to get last minute depending on your appointment need. They offer the Science Diet Food. If they don't have what you need, they can order it for you and you can get it relatively fast. I also like the fact that they have the cats boarding area completely separated from the dogs. They offer two options for cats, a Kitty Condo or Townhouse which is a bit more. The townhouse allows for the cat to view the staff at all times, as it is a window that faces the checkin/checkout counter. So if you have a shy/timid cat like mine, the Condo is the way to go.It terms for exam rooms, they do have two special rooms for cats. One of them has a window facing the wooded outside area where the cats can view the birds. They also have a small house where the cats can hide while they wait.Overall, your pets are in good hands. One of the downsides to this office is that Amex is not accepted. Read Less

I used to love this place until Dr. Veiling sold to Noah's. Since they took over down hill. I took my dog in for check up and excessive drinking. I was given a list of test they wanted to do and cost. Called my old college roommate who is a vet. His first comment was blood test for diabetes. Said ultra sound and x-rays is a common money making steps. Then took in for eye problems. Had me come back 3 times two of the times equipment for test was not working tried to charge me anyway until I threw a stink. Find an independent doctor not a big multi practice place just looking to make as much money as possible for unneeded tests. Read Less
