The staff is friendly, however it's quite obvious after two visits that Pet Pals and it's Veterinarians are most worried about the money and much less about your pet and you. You can call and get cost information, then once you get to the check out counter you are hit with excessive hidden costs. In our case, a "reexamination fee" for a dog that was in a week prior for a chronic problem. Moreover, there was no examination, just straight into the therapy. When questioned about the fee, it was clear to us that they were more worried about the $46 than keeping a customer or the well-being of our dog. I steer clear of clinics with these ethics and refuse to be taken advantage of. Lastly, our visit was for accupuncture therapy where they inserted the needles then left my wife, baby, and I to try and keep our dog unsuccessfully from knocking out hair thin needles. If you choose to use Pet Pals, you should be prepared to open your wallet.

This place is wonderful!! I had rescued a big rottweiler pitbull mix (90lb) that was not treated very well. They staff and doctors are patient and go slow do to his fear and they have been able to treat him with no problem. We also have a 90lb Akita malumunt mix that they saved her life when she was ran over by a car. With all the laser therapy and herbals helped her to walk again sooner than later. We love this place

They staff and doctors are patient and go slow do to his fear and they have been able to treat him with no problem. I took my new adopted dog for a check up. I ended paying more money than I had planned for. When I made my appointment they told me it was going to be about $59 a firsdt time office visit plus additional fees for vaccines and flee, heartworm, ticks, Ect. I ended up paying $119.50 JUST for the office consult visit, which did not include the heartworm, tick, flee , and parasides check, ect!! I know that owning a dog can get pricey and as a dog owner I take full responsibility and I don't mind paying, but I just feel like they should be more specific and honest about their pricing. When I asked why I was charged that amount for the office visit they told me that is about $59 per 30 mins appointment and mine took 1hr, which I feel like half of it was me waiting on exam results and me filling out first patient documentation. I'm sorry, but ME filling out paperwork and waiting on exams should not count as part of my appointment time. Also, they had to run the exam twice through their machine because their machine was acting up so it meant more time was passing by for them to reach the hr and charge me more. Also, When I made my appointment I was told my appointment was going to be around $59 and that it was going to be 1hr long, but never that I had to pay $59 per 30 mins. So if you plan on taking your doggie here for the first time just be aware of their pricing. Anyways beside the pricing confusion, the staff took great care of my dog and was super patient and sweet to both of us.

I took my two dogs to this office with the understanding that they would have a holistic approach to caring for my animals. I'm sorry but giving dogs Chinese herbs or offering questionable acupuncture does not make an office "holistic". My older dog wasn't even offered a blood test. Had I known that Dr. Natalie was not planning to help him survive, I would have walked away. They pulled quite a bit of money out of my wallet and my dog died. This location changed when they kicked out the original owner. It's a money machine now.

I was thoroughly impressed by Dr. Shaw and her staff on my first visit. The level of detail of the history and physical exam gave me the assurance my dog was in the best hands he could be in. She was patient, elaborated and explained things till I felt comfortable with the game plan. I am in the medical feild so when I see they are basing their treatment protocols on the most up to date research, combined with a loving touch, I know this is the only vet I will bring my four legged family members to.

I've been very happy with our visits so far. My 12 year old dog has pretty severe heart disease and we had seen other vets up until going to PetPals without much improvement. We went here and they adjusted his medication and I have seen marked improvement! I'm so happy we went here! I just wish they were closer to my house! We drive from Bloomington, IN to get to them but I feel it is worth it! They call me about once a week between my dogs appointments to check on him and make sure the medication is still working. They are always very sweet and seem to care about my dog's well-being!

I brought our rescued pit bull here after having been refused service from multiple different vets due to his fear aggression. With other vets he would not let anyone handle him, and I felt like everyone had just given up. I 100% understand that safety is paramount, but I didn't know what else to do to get him basic vet care.
I called Pet Pals almost in tears after yet another failed appointment at another office and the understanding and care I was met with from Diana was amazing. I brought him in to Dr. Olden-Stahl at Diana's recommendation. From the time I walked in until we left, everyone went out of their way to help him and us feel comfortable.
Dr. Olsen-Stahl was so understanding of the trauma he likely experienced in his past and was adamant that we not push him past his comfort zone. She kept the door open during his visit to help him feel less trapped. She focused on a solution for his anxiety that will not only help him with future vet visits but help him in his regular day-to-day life too. I can't tell you how relieved I was that a vet understood instead of judged or sent us elsewhere. He was just there for a heartworm test, but she also offered us advice with other aspects of his care.
I can't say enough how kind and helpful everyone I have interacted with has been. You can tell the staff has a real love for animals and want to do right by them. I will be taking my other, much easier, dog to them in the future because I've been so impressed with them.

This vet is wackadoo! I took my dog there for an ear infection. Since she has anxiety they politely asked I come back with my dog tranquilized a week later however charging me s $130 for an office visit and hemp oil! This morning I go back for the visit after giving her the tranquilizer and when I arrived they told me the visit wasn't until the following day even though a confirmation call stated it was today. The vet said they were too booked to see her and I was left with no other options. So with my dog doped up I left and took her back to her normal vet. This place is all about feeling good, eastern meds, hemp oil and probably smoking a little themselves. The staff up front are disorganized, unapologetic and the office is aged and outdated for technology, I will never return or recommend this place! I believe they are not a professional vet office that truly had information on how to care for animals. The people that give other good reviews might have s screw loose also and want this kind of persons looking after their pets. When I left I took my dog to her. Penal vet who immediately saw her and is now treating her. Isn't the most important issue to take care of their health?! As you can see below the response was that I was a day early for the appointment. Yes the appointment time was communicated as Thursday but the voice mail message on that Tuesday said I was scheduled for Wednesday and I didn't get my message till after the office had closed. Yes the office staff was flustered and not very empathetic either. Again this place is unorganized and didn't really care about my dogs health more than being correct about the appointment. I think it's telling that they reached out on this review and covered themselves but never followed up with me by phone to apologize. Again more concerned with my review and the public opinion than serving the customer!

I feel heard and not judged at Pet Pals. I would love more affordable prices for aquapuncture but understand that it is an expensive (and voluntary, supplemental) procedure. I never feel pressured to pay for anything I don't elect to do. Positive experiences every time, even with a chronically sick dog. Thanks!

Dr. Towle is thorough, compassionate, and patient with both my dogs and me, and I wish MY "people" doctors communicated half as well! Yes, we sometimes have a fairly long wait, but that's because they are giving other patients the time they need and I know Dr. Towle will also spend as long with us as we need. My pets are my kids, and I feel confident trusting their care to the folks at Pet Pals.

I have been a client at Pet Pals for over 10 years. They have always provided excellent care and advice. The staff and doctors are amazing. This is not a place where there are new doctors all the time. Dr. Towle and Dr. Olden-Stahl know my dogs and have been there for their entire lives. Compassionately treating everything from the smallest scratch to the worst cancer. They are truly family now. I can't recommend them enough.

I just love Dr. Julie. She makes my boxers feel amazing. Recently, Trinity yelped when I touched her muzzle. Her regular vet thought she might have a bad tooth. $500 later, the X-Rays were inconclusive. We went to see Dr. Julie and she found the problem. Trinity had a vertebrae in her neck that had slipped. After her adjustment, Trinity was all better. Thank you Dr. Julie and your magic hands.

Dr Towle was so wonderful and compassionate when I had to put my beloved, geriatric kitty down, with late stage kidney disease. We would not take our pets anywhere else!

The staff is friendly, however it's quite obvious after two visits that Pet Pals and it's Veterinarians are most worried about the money and much less about your pet and you. You can call and get cost information, then once you get to the check out counter you are hit with excessive hidden costs. In our case, a "reexamination fee" for a dog that was in a week prior for a chronic problem. Moreover, there was no examination, just straight into the therapy. When questioned about the fee, it was clear to us that they were more worried about the $46 than keeping a customer or the well-being of our dog. I steer clear of clinics with these ethics and refuse to be taken advantage of. Lastly, our visit was for accupuncture therapy where they inserted the needles then left my wife, baby, and I to try and keep our dog unsuccessfully from knocking out hair thin needles. If you choose to use Pet Pals, you should be prepared to open your wallet.

They staff and doctors are patient and go slow do to his fear and they have been able to treat him with no problem. We also have a 90lb Akita malumunt mix that they saved her life when she was ran over by a car. With all the laser therapy and herbals helped her to walk again sooner than later. We love this place

I took my new adopted dog for a check up. I ended paying more money than I had planned for. When I made my appointment they told me it was going to be about $59 a firsdt time office visit plus additional fees for vaccines and flee, heartworm, ticks, Ect. I ended up paying $119.50 JUST for the office consult visit, which did not include the heartworm, tick, flee , and parasides check, ect!! I know that owning a dog can get pricey and as a dog owner I take full responsibility and I don't mind paying, but I just feel like they should be more specific and honest about their pricing. When I asked why I was charged that amount for the office visit they told me that is about $59 per 30 mins appointment and mine took 1hr, which I feel like half of it was me waiting on exam results and me filling out first patient documentation. I'm sorry, but ME filling out paperwork and waiting on exams should not count as part of my appointment time. Also, they had to run the exam twice through their machine because their machine was acting up so it meant more time was passing by for them to reach the hr and charge me more. Also, When I made my appointment I was told my appointment was going to be around $59 and that it was going to be 1hr long, but never that I had to pay $59 per 30 mins. So if you plan on taking your doggie here for the first time just be aware of their pricing. Anyways beside the pricing confusion, the staff took great care of my dog and was super patient and sweet to both of us.

I took my two dogs to this office with the understanding that they would have a holistic approach to caring for my animals. I'm sorry but giving dogs Chinese herbs or offering questionable acupuncture does not make an office "holistic". My older dog wasn't even offered a blood test. Had I known that Dr. Natalie was not planning to help him survive, I would have walked away. They pulled quite a bit of money out of my wallet and my dog died. This location changed when they kicked out the original owner. It's a money machine now.

I was thoroughly impressed by Dr. Shaw and her staff on my first visit. The level of detail of the history and physical exam gave me the assurance my dog was in the best hands he could be in. She was patient, elaborated and explained things till I felt comfortable with the game plan. I am in the medical feild so when I see they are basing their treatment protocols on the most up to date research, combined with a loving touch, I know this is the only vet I will bring my four legged family members to.

I've been very happy with our visits so far. My 12 year old dog has pretty severe heart disease and we had seen other vets up until going to PetPals without much improvement. We went here and they adjusted his medication and I have seen marked improvement! I'm so happy we went here! I just wish they were closer to my house! We drive from Bloomington, IN to get to them but I feel it is worth it! They call me about once a week between my dogs appointments to check on him and make sure the medication is still working. They are always very sweet and seem to care about my dog's well-being!

I brought our rescued pit bull here after having been refused service from multiple different vets due to his fear aggression. With other vets he would not let anyone handle him, and I felt like everyone had just given up. I 100% understand that safety is paramount, but I didn't know what else to do to get him basic vet care.
I called Pet Pals almost in tears after yet another failed appointment at another office and the understanding and care I was met with from Diana was amazing. I brought him in to Dr. Olden-Stahl at Diana's recommendation. From the time I walked in until we left, everyone went out of their way to help him and us feel comfortable.
Dr. Olsen-Stahl was so understanding of the trauma he likely experienced in his past and was adamant that we not push him past his comfort zone. She kept the door open during his visit to help him feel less trapped. She focused on a solution for his anxiety that will not only help him with future vet visits but help him in his regular day-to-day life too. I can't tell you how relieved I was that a vet understood instead of judged or sent us elsewhere. He was just there for a heartworm test, but she also offered us advice with other aspects of his care.
I can't say enough how kind and helpful everyone I have interacted with has been. You can tell the staff has a real love for animals and want to do right by them. I will be taking my other, much easier, dog to them in the future because I've been so impressed with them.

This vet is wackadoo! I took my dog there for an ear infection. Since she has anxiety they politely asked I come back with my dog tranquilized a week later however charging me s $130 for an office visit and hemp oil! This morning I go back for the visit after giving her the tranquilizer and when I arrived they told me the visit wasn't until the following day even though a confirmation call stated it was today. The vet said they were too booked to see her and I was left with no other options. So with my dog doped up I left and took her back to her normal vet. This place is all about feeling good, eastern meds, hemp oil and probably smoking a little themselves. The staff up front are disorganized, unapologetic and the office is aged and outdated for technology, I will never return or recommend this place! I believe they are not a professional vet office that truly had information on how to care for animals. The people that give other good reviews might have s screw loose also and want this kind of persons looking after their pets. When I left I took my dog to her. Penal vet who immediately saw her and is now treating her. Isn't the most important issue to take care of their health?! As you can see below the response was that I was a day early for the appointment. Yes the appointment time was communicated as Thursday but the voice mail message on that Tuesday said I was scheduled for Wednesday and I didn't get my message till after the office had closed. Yes the office staff was flustered and not very empathetic either. Again this place is unorganized and didn't really care about my dogs health more than being correct about the appointment. I think it's telling that they reached out on this review and covered themselves but never followed up with me by phone to apologize. Again more concerned with my review and the public opinion than serving the customer!

I feel heard and not judged at Pet Pals. I would love more affordable prices for aquapuncture but understand that it is an expensive (and voluntary, supplemental) procedure. I never feel pressured to pay for anything I don't elect to do. Positive experiences every time, even with a chronically sick dog. Thanks!

Dr. Towle is thorough, compassionate, and patient with both my dogs and me, and I wish MY "people" doctors communicated half as well! Yes, we sometimes have a fairly long wait, but that's because they are giving other patients the time they need and I know Dr. Towle will also spend as long with us as we need. I have been a client at Pet Pals for over 10 years. They have always provided excellent care and advice. The staff and doctors are amazing. This is not a place where there are new doctors all the time. Dr. Towle and Dr. Olden-Stahl know my dogs and have been there for their entire lives. Compassionately treating everything from the smallest scratch to the worst cancer. They are truly family now. I can't recommend them enough.

Her regular vet thought she might have a bad tooth. $500 later, the X-Rays were inconclusive. We went to see Dr. Julie and she found the problem. Trinity had a vertebrae in her neck that had slipped. After her adjustment, Trinity was all better. Thank you Dr. Julie and your magic hands.
