Took our dog Baylee in to the Martinsville Veterinary Hospital for his yearly shots and was told he had a tumor in his ear, he also had one one his chest and one on his right hind quarters. Made an appointment to have all three removed after being quoted a price of $246.00 after all was said and done the one in his ear was simply an ear infection, they didn't take off the one on his chest and they cut him on his left side saying they got the one between his ribs ( about 4" cut) and by the way that will be $376.00. I fill sorry for Baylee, we will be finding a vet that can communicate a lot better going forward, Baylee is family and I will not allow this to happen to him ever again. I am so thankful I got in so fast. My puppy had Kennl cough and wasn't doing so well. I called and they waited for the Dr to come out of a room and ask what they needed to do. Got us right in and fixed right up. No wait time at all. Now my baby is feeling much better. Read Less

I cannot say enough good things about the treatment my pets have received over the years from the Dr's and staff at this facility. I have had multiple pets cared for by them over the past 16 years. One example is Dr Johnson taking the time to call me after 9 pm on a Friday night to let me know my 13 year old dog came out of anesthesia and I can pick her up tomorrow. I have been to many vets offices in different states and areas over the years, they are really pretty great. The vets are knowledgable the office staff prompt and very kind. The prices are reasonable to below the average. And the major reason for 5 stars... Their quoted price is the price you pay. No surprise charges at the end when it's time for pickup. I give this 1 star only cause they don't have a negative option.  I called to get a price on getting a pups ears done. Was told 250 so I set up the appointment.  My wife took the pup in and we were charged just under 500 when I went to pick her up. Then you have to have the ears re taped that was 27 dollars each time which I was fine with until the last time I went in and they charged me over 50 because they said they examined her. I was in the room the entire time and no examination was performed.  I brought this to their attention and was told they did. So the first cost was double what they said and then getting the ears tapped were double what they said. The vet is very socially impaired  and even after the so called examination still thought my pup was a male. So if you already go here and like it then continue on. If your thinking about going here I'd think twice or be willing to pay twice what the say over the phone. Read Less

The doctors here have been AMAZING with my 18 year old cat! With all my pets actually. The staff have been very understanding and listened to every concern I've had. They examined my pets thoroughly and try everything they can to resolve any issue with my pet. I couldn't ask for a better place to take my pets! Just to let everyone know our cat came in he was sick and is about 13 years old. The doc did some tests and claimed his liver was failing and that we put him down in 3 days. We got a second opinion and it turns out he just had a cold. We were one day away from killing our cat...Btw 4 months later hes still alive and well it was just a cold. Now i question if he put our dog down after we left claiming that she died of other causes.. Wonder how many others he has put down. Read Less

I took my dachshund in after he had been attacked by another dog. They shaved him down, put medicine on him, gave him shots and told me to keep a close eye one him if I was going to take him home. He started throwing up after I got him home that night. I called the after hours line and they met me back at the office and ran blood work to check for any and all problems. They ended up having to do surgery due to kidney failure. THey had to keep him about 10 days after that nursing him back to health. All this happened to be over Thanksgiving and the following week. They were wonderful with my baby. If it hadn't been for them, I would have lost him. I can't thank them enough. Read Less

My daushand was very sick and I took her to this vet they gave her some fluids and a couple shots of antiboctics never once did they take blood work or do any xrays and they sent her home only for her to get worse as the night went on so I called them after hours which they dont have a after hour service so I had to drive her 45 miles to a animal hospital that was open 24hrs and they did full blood work and xrays and told me what she had and to call my vet the next day which I did and they wanted to do the same as the vet hopsital did and charge me again. Well we loss my daushand which I blame them if they would have done something when I took her to them the first time we could have saved her now I dont have my baby girl and Im out over 500.00 dollars.
