My family took our dog to the clinic because he kept getting sick and we weren’t sure what was wrong. The staff put him on IV’s due to dehydration and wanted to keep him overnight for observation....but no one was going to be there with him overnight to observe him, so we took him home with us. That night he passed away. I am highly disappointed in this clinics lack or urgency, and not advising us of the severity of our dogs condition. If we would have known he was such high risk, we would have taken him to a hospital, but that was never communicated to us. Due to their neglect, we lost a member of our family. We 1st saw Dr. Risser starting abt 10 yrs ago when we lived just 1 mile from his office. We loved him then! Since then, our wonderful pup passed away and we moved abt 20 minutes away. We just welcomed a new addition to our family and tried a vet right around the corner. From the moment I met the new vet, I knew we needed to switch immediately and drive the distance back to Dr. Risser. He takes SO MUCH time with you, is so thorough, there is no dumb question. I cannot recommend Fall Creek Veterinary enough. Dr. Luth is amazing. He is so good at making my pets feel comfortable and he is very good at diagnosing their ailments. He is very warm and you can tell he truly loves animals. The vet techs are awesome and so helpful... Answering any and all of my questions. The front desk staff is efficient but still personable. After several moves we continue to drive here despite the distance. It's totally worth it. My pets just love it here. :) Read Less

Our family loves Dr. Risser and he is the reason we trust him with our pets. Back in April we had to put our cat down and he handled it with such care and respect. We never felt rushed and stayed with her long after she passed. The next day flowers were sent to our house followed by a letter signed by the staff. We were very touched. Dr. Risser and his staff went above and beyond. As for the building, it's new and kept very clean. The reception is very large with a fireplace, a mini fridge with beverages and snacks, and plenty of seating. There is a play area off to the side for children. The visitation rooms are well equipped, clean, and comfortable. The staff is all very professional; we've seen Dr. Luth and Dr. Risser and we are very pleased with them both. Read Less

I brought my dog in on July 5, 2016. He had been ill and it was time to let him go. Dr. Luth and his staff made me feel good about my decision. Although it was tough, it was right. Dr Luth and his staff were kind and compassionate. Almost like my dog Lou was one of their own. The staff at fall creek also sent me a condolence card signed with a message from everyone there. My husband and I are long-time clients; we have entrusted FCVMC staff with our own 3 Shih Tzus as well as many, many dogs who have passed through our home as foster dogs. Attended this clinic from March 2015 to September 2015 and have had nothing but issues. My dogs have had anal gland issues, ear infections and needed preventative medications. Each time I went in I was assured everything is fine and nothing else was needed. Fast forward to my new vet and he proved that the anal gland issues were actually an anal abbess, the constant ear infections were caused by bad allergies and Fall Creek "forgot" to notify me when it was time to put my puppies on certain preventative treatments for heart worms/roundworms/etc. I will never go back and since I've left I have had 3 other friends/co workers that have had the same issues with this vet. Dr. Risser and his staff are some of the most caring people, and the type you want taking care of your four legged friends.We have been coming to Dr. Risser for 4+ years with our dog.  In this time, we also have had a cat that has needed some emergency visits for various urinary tract blockages.Sadly, in February, I noticed our cat had something a-typical and it ended up being Squamous cell carcinoma.  Dr. Risser took the time to explain what it was, what our options are and provided a very professional and non-emotional overview so we could make an unbiased decision as far as how to proceed with the news.  It was one of the most professional interactions I can remember with any type of doctor (animal or human!)Sadly we had to make a tough decision earlier this week about what to do with our cat who was in so much pain.  The level of concern, compassion and professionalism that the entire office had made the moment as comfortable as possible.Then much to our surprise, we received a note/expression of the office's sympathy the day after we had to say goodbye.  This was completely unexpected.  This speaks VOLUMES to the care and concern this office gives each of its patients.I highly recommend Dr. Risser to anyone looking for a vet in the Northeast Indy/suburbs area.
