I Love this place. They are all about your pet. Loving, caring, and close to home. No matter what Hope always loved going there. Had to recently have Hope put down. I took my dog in for a checkup, and he chose that day to be EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. Thank goodness we had chosen Magrane Pet Clinic, on the advice of a friend! The entire staff was patient and friendly. They succeeded in safely treating a very disagreeable client, and instead of grumbling about needing to spend extra time on my pet, they offered me very useful advice on how to reduce his anxiety next time. They even suggested bringing him in for a "fun vet visit" on a day they weren't busy, to allow him to associate the trip with treats instead of just heartworm tests. Highly recommended. Thank you! Today was my Yellow Labs first visit to this vet clinic. She seemed very comfortable & she got many rewards such as pretzel sticks with peanut butter on them & of course the mini treats that come along with every visit to a vet. One thing I didnt enjoy was that they seemed to push everything on you (heartworm prevention, tick prevention, etc...) instead of asking if its something you'd be interested in. We have a Shar-Pei puppy 7 months old now. We have taken him there for everything from the time he was 10 weeks old. The service at the time was fine, the fees were outrageous, but we thought at the time the care was fine. They seemed to care about him at the time. As time went on the fees kept mounting and so did the visits. It seems as though they will only take the PERFECT pets. If there is any problems with the pet, they don't want to address them, you are just told to get a trainer. We took our dog in and to have his ears cleaned and we had to sedate him and I don't think his ears were even cleaned and he also was to have his nails cut. He doesn't like having this done, the reason for sedation. This was done several times, and charged every time of course. This makes my 3rd Shar-Pei, so I'm not new to this breed. So on the weekend of May 6th, we boarded him with Magranes, we were only gone for one day but we had to leave him there for the whole weekend due to their policy. We took his own bed, food, & toys. This poor puppy had a very bad experience at the Emergency Animal Hospital and hasn't forgot it. So when we took him to be boarded we told the Vet Tech that if he needed to be sedated to make him more comfortable to please do so. I left a paper with instructions on it, I wanted to be texted if he did not eat. He did not eat, he peed in his cage and pooped and this puppy is completely housebroken. We were VERY UPSET about how he was cared for. They did not even contact us. WHERE'S YOUR COMPASSION??? So after we picked him up we had a conversation with the Vet Tech and one of the Vet's not the owner. She flat out told us that we could not board him there "because he was dangerous" - would you be if you had been treated the way that he was? He defended himself the only way that he knew. So then the best part comes. The Vet that we talked with had nerve enough to send us a certified letter stating that due to our conversation with her that our puppy was not welcome back. SO THIS IS MY QUESTION-WHAT MAKES YOU A VET???? DID YOU GET INTO THE BUSINESS JUST FOR THE MONEY?? I MEAN YOUR FEES ARE THE HIGHEST AROUND...YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO CARE ABOUT ANIMALS, YOU HAVE NO COMPASSION!!! TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT...WE WERE NOT GOING TO BRING OUR PUPPY BACK TO YOU ANYWAY AFTER THE CARE THAT HE RECEIVED. We are so sorry for ever bringing him there...and to pay our hard earned money to you!!!! You should be ashamed for the way you treated him. I don't think the AVA would agree with you. Just turn your backs on pets who really need care!!! I will not recommend you to ANYONE!!! If you want to talk with us you know how to contact us (you should by now, but we were ignored). For years my dog went to three point veterinary in fortunately the vet will retire soon or has. Great vet but towards the last part of last year seemed as though his give a care was retired already. I need a place to take my pug & someone suggested magrane I took my pug & we both like Dr. Neimann we will stay not to mention it's so much closer to home Read Less

My husband Ron Tepper and I would like to personally thank Dr. TJ Niemann and his assistant (I'm sorry I didn't get her name) for their compassion yesterday when we brought in our fur baby kitty Elmo. It's never easy to lose a pet - and our Elmo was our baby boy. He gave us 18 beautiful years. The decision was not an easy one, but our boy was suffering and it was time to let him go. This is the best vet in town! They are professional and the staff all really know their stuff, especially Dr. Niemann who also treats pocket pets. I've taken all my animals there: dogs, cats, rats, ferrets and they've always given them the best possible care. They may not be one of the cheapest places to go but they are the best in my opinion. I highly recommend them to anyone who is seeking veterinary care, they treat you and your pets like family. I can't thank them enough for their services. Read Less

Today I took my dog Indy there. He is not always the easiest dog to take care of as sometimes he gets aggressive when you touch his mouth and paws, they were very friendly and truly cared about him. My family is so grateful and blessed by the care from all the staff and especially from Dr. Spake. We were referred from the Emergency vet clinic and Dr. Spake's treatments saved Wrigley's life. Wrigley is doing well and can't believe just a few weeks ago he was so sick. Thank you Migrane, we are so grateful for your care. I feel as if this vet did not do a full exam on my dog, I will not talk bad about this company because i feel as if that is not right but i will say that my fiance and i were charged an amazing amount of money and i did not feel satisfied with the service. I decided to then go to The Center For Animal Health in Edwardsburg and i was much happier with the service and with the price. Almost everything was at least 50% less expensive. Although i have heard many good about this company, i will not be bringing my animals back to this vet. Read Less

I am always so appreciative of the level of care we get at Magrane Pet Medical Center. Our puppy has a bad immune system, and we call Magrane almost every week. They are kind and patient, and they are flexible about getting us in with our busy work schedules. They are also considerate with our time and recommend at-home treatments to save us an office visit if it is possible. We have seen multiple vets there, and all have been WONDERFUL with Piper. I've taken my pets to Magrane's for 35 years and cannot say enough good about the care they have received.  From a parakeet to a Bouvier, the staff has provided excellent care including the sad times when I've had to say goodbye to a beloved pet.  Their staff is helpful, kind and gentle.  I became a Magranes customer when Dr. Neuhoff was fresh out of college and consider her to be one of the foremost veterinarians in the country. Luckily I haven't needed to use the vet for too many serious things, but every single time I have gone has been a great experience. I'm a first time dog owner and when I took my dog in for his initial visit and physical they were so helpful with providing me lots of information and taking the time to listen to my questions. The girls that I've dealt with at the front desk are extremely pleasant and helpful. I've always been able to get my dog in as soon as I needed for things. All of the staff I've dealt with there clearly love the animals and are happy to see each and every pet that walks in. I've seen Dr. Niemann a few times and I absolutely love him. He really takes the time to talk to me, explains things thoroughly and answers all of my questions.   I also saw Dr. Neuhoff for my initial physical with my brand new dog, and she made me feel so comfortable. She also clearly loved the animals and spent extra time getting to know my dog so he was comfortable with her.The waiting area is very clean and comfortable. They have coffee and tea for the humans and water bowls for the animals. The only suggestion I would have for the waiting area is to put out some paper towels and cleaning spray, my dog is a marker and despite my efforts occasionally pees while we're waiting. I would be happy to clean it up myself but there is only the napkins for the coffee bar area to use, so I have to ask the receptionist for something and they always clean it themselves which makes me feel bad. I can't really comment on the cost of things here, the only time the fee seemed really high was when I bought heartworm and flea meds from there. I'm not sure what other vet offices charge so I can't really compare. I would highly recommend this place to any of my friends. Read Less

They kept trying to push me into having surgery on my cat when it was not needed and she healed up just fine without it. Not only that, they would not tell me the price of the surgery upfront. They kept calling and calling me to bring her in but still would never give the price of the surgery. I would never take any other animal here. Read Less

Our hairless cats see Dr. Niemann and he is the best!! The staff are nice and handle emergency situations well. They are always pleasant on the phone and willing to grab the doctor for questions when your loved pets are not feeling well! Dr. Niemann and staff are the best!! The whole staff cares about your fur family and helps in any way possible to put you at ease during an emergency situation! Never will go back. Bad diagnosis. Receptionist or person that answers the phone is clueless!!!! Talking to friends is more important than dealing with patrons!! Called for meds 4 hrs before pickup weren't ready, but the sign in sheet still had us on the front page from two weeks ago!!! Read Less

I have been taking my dogs and cats here for several years.  Although they seem to be a bit pricier than some other vet clinics in the area, they have been worth the extra cost.  When I moved to the area, I tried two other vet clinics prior to Magrane, and both of them were incompetent at best.Dr. Logue is a fantastic veterinarian.  He is personable, takes time to listen to your concerns, spends time allowing the pet to "warm up" to him if needed, and is also very upfront with, what the possible issue(s) may be.  Dr. Niemann is very patient with my cats and my special-needs dog.  My dog can be a bit grumpy, especially at the vet, but he handles her like a true professional.  He is also willing to take the time to hear your concerns and make your pet feel at ease.Neither have recommended unnecessary procedures and both of them put you and your pets at ease.  I can't speak about the other vets in the practice, but these two are fantastic!  Would recommend them to anyone who cares about his/her pets. Wow what a group of caring individuals who walk the walk when it comes to caring for your loved companion,your family and you thru it all. We came to Magrames when our Erik broke his back leg my wife in tears looking for a vet to see him after our first vet was to busy to care for us. Bring him in immediatly so we can see what was wrong was music to our ears, Mind you they did not know us from Adam that did not matter my wife was in distress and erik in shock. They took action saw us thru this hard time and continued to do so for another six years when we discovered erik had a ravaging cancer. They helped us put him in Gods hands to enjoy as we did. Then in a year when we brought Oz home there was only one place to go. Oz needed hip,shoulder and elbow exrays Joy took action contacted the National Radiologist in Utah and co-ordinated all the paperwork, payment and xrays. So if you are looking for CARING, KNOWLEDGEBLE PROFESSIONALS we RECOMMEND MAGRAMES !!!! Read Less
