It is really annoying that they aren't open everyday. The vet goes between Bremen Animal Clinic and this one. If your dog is sick and you schedule the day of, the lady isn't helpful. She can't see or schedule for Bremen so you have to call the other place. If you start a visit at Bremen, it is difficult to switch to the Nappanee location. I hate how the 2 locations don't communicate well together and our dog is registered at Bremen only because the Nappanee office was closed during the Apple festival. Read Less

This place is awesome!  We were in Nappanee to have some work done to our RV and needed a day care option for our dog while we toured the area.  The staff was so nice.  The prices are completely reasonable and our dog came back to us happy and did not look stressed at all.  We kept him there overnight one night during one of the longer repair days and he did just fine.  The staff is so wonderful.  The clients coming in for medical visits were long-timers, which also means a lot. the People are nice (thats the only reason not giving only 1 or 2 stars)... but I don't like being misinformed and then some excuses put onto it. When I am told an amount of what something will cost, I expect to pay THAT price. The excuse "the receptionist is fairly new" is not really an excuse on why a price given is the wrong price. Maybe someone should have verified the price before an amount was given. the only reason the medication got purchased is because my wife was in a hurry and it saved me a trip on my way home. If I would have went there the meds would not have been purchased. Read Less

We absolutely love the staff at Nappanee Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Mattern did a C-section on our cat, Fiona, and saved some of her kittens. Fiona is also in perfect health. Everyone there was so dedicated to saving the kittens and taking good care of Fiona. You can really tell how much they love animals. Our little cat family is thriving today because of all they have done for them. We also have left Fiona at their kennel when we have gone on vacation knowing of the good care they give her. We had a 14 year dog that had cancer. When the doctor told he was so compassionate when telling us that she only would live another month. On a Saturday evening around 8pm our dog went into seizures. We knew what had to be done. We called the doctor and home and he and his wife meet us at the clinic. Never once did they make us feel like we had interrupted their Saturday night, Instead they were very caring and helped us through what had to be done. Even though the reason was very hurtful we appreciated the way we and our beloved dog was treated. My cat had a UTI and also needed medicine for tapeworms. I called before I came and explained what was wrong with my cat. When I got there the woman that I talked to over the phone said she only got the part about my cat having tapeworms. She then has the nerve to ask if I could come in the next day because the doctor wasn't there at the time. I told her over the phone that my cat was straining to use the bathroom. If anyone knows about UTIs, you don't wait to treat them because they can be fatal. We were then redirected to the Bremen Animal Clinic. Seriously get someone to answer the phone that has good listening skills. I was already distraught over my cat and that was the last thing I needed. The only thing they did right was give me my cat's deworming medicine. At least Bremen had their act together. Read Less
